  1. I did the Jedi Knight's storyline then tried to do consular, horrible mistake. Consular storyline is very boring imo. So I know fully well how you feel in regards to that.

On the empire side I've done the majority of the Bounty Hunter storyline and a little of the Imperial Agents, I recommend the BH. Thus far it is my favorite class quest line.

  2. Tracer Missile is a community favorite, and I can flat out state that if you pull the Tracer Missile stun on a skilled player, you are not going to live. It’s not working. Alright, if you know how to use interrupts, we see people stand there and they die. But that said, it is also dangerous to have people in a state where they can have a fairly decent DPS rotation with almost no effort. That isn’t good long term for them either. It is boring and it doesn’t add as much combat adrenaline as we want. So we did some changes there to rebalance that particular tree to move a bit out of the Tracer Missile, and require you to be more active in your combat style to achieve that kind of effect. You can call that a nerf. I call that housekeeping.

I assume stun is suppose to be stunt.

  3. I run with and am working towards a similar build, a 24/17/0.

I'm only level 37 at the moment on my merc, but this is the build I'm working towards and I use it for leveling and pvp.

The knockback from rocket punch I couldn't live without in pvp, specially since pre 50 you get huttball 90% of the time. When they introduce the dual spec, or when I hit 50 I'll probably go pure Bodyguard, as I want to primarily heal. For now tho this works great for me. Might look into removing Integrated Systems and putting 2 into Powered Insulators or Jet Escape.

Originally I went pure healer spec, but I found leveling and pvp to be horrible as I couldn't put out enough damage or defend myself very well. So adding tracker missile and the extended knockback for jet boost and knockback for rocket punch really helps. Specially in Huttball.

  4. If you are not using terrain to your advantage and run into a melee pile to use rocket punch as an interrupt (disregarding travel time from point a to b before use) you are playing your class wrong. If you are not using terrain, and run into the melee pile to use jet boost, you are playing your class wrong. If you can interrupt heals with concussion missile, you must be Ms. Cleo, because your cast time is as long if not longer than the heals themselves!

In pve, this is seriously noticeable on Battle of Illum and False Emperor. Oh no, quick somebody interrupt quickly before that group killing ae gets cast. Derp. Good to know that you put in mobs that will literally wipe a group even if at full health if not interrupted and then make a class who has no way to mitigate this.

I liked the idea of giving railshot an interrupt effect, like that person I can't be troubled to quote suggested. It would have the combined effect of reducing dps, and limiting the arsenel specs already pathetic run and gun ability. Arsenals would sit on it instead of just spamming it, hell, you could even increase the recast.

Not sure if the first paragraph was just a general statement or directed at me. ^^; I definitely don't just go running into fights. I also usually try to use whatever terrain I can that's available. I was purely speaking from a PVP perspective however, I wasn't including pve. I often do pve with my roomate and rarely solo. But I see your point and I suppose an interrupt couldn't hurt. Hell, with the upcoming changes in 1.2 an interrupt might be one of the things we're getting. (along with whatever they're supposedly gonna nerf)

Tho you made me remember that I hate some fights in this game as it's "omg interrupt or die" and not enough strategy involved.

  5. I see zero need for an interrupt. Yes we "lack" an actual move that's only purpose is an interrupt, but we have plenty of things that do interrupt.

I'm able to use rocket punch, jet boost, electro dart, and concussion missile to my advantage and I often do decent in pvp. Obviously without the perk for rocket punch you're limited to just jet boost, electro dart and concussion missile. Just speaking from my experience and in my opinion an interrupt is not "needed".

  6. It would be a real mistake, you are confusing : what player should want (your point of vue) and what players really want (our point of vue). If you want to close the gap beetween PVP stuff :

_Make more sets, a T0 one would be a real good begining

_Make a steady way to get the stuff, random in bags is sh...

Lot of player who invest time in PVP want to be able to do a bit of PVE (HM/raid normal mode), don't deny them the opportunity, nothing is stopping PVE player to take a peak in PVP, they take more damage but do more damage and have more HP and more interesting set bonuses than in PVP set...

So if you want to use the nerf bat, know people will have to do PVE to twink their equipement to be competitive in PVP and it will just be horrible.

    So please think this again!

They said they were make an introductory set for level 50 pvpers.

I disagree with you that it's a bad idea. It is, in my opinion, a good idea and something that is needed. Those who invest their time into PVP should be more effective in PVP than those who put more time into PVE and vice versa.

I believe the "greater stat difference" is simply going to be more expertise and the adjustment of how much expertise impacts you in pvp.

But with the upcoming ability to remove all mods from the set gear, mix/matching the mods will probably yield the best results.

  7. I think its cool and I've been wanting an ability to use the jetpack for mobility purposes. But for me its somewhat diminished as the other players get "jet boots". If anything they should make them actually SPRINT, instead of the run/jog we all do now.
  8. I'm already looking forward to this. I haven't been able to watch myself, but from the article over at IGN, there's a lot to love.

    My favorites so far:

    - character and UI customizations

    - legacy system (curious, will it be possible for SG relationships?)

    - class balancing (according to IGN, Knights/Warriors are getting new abilities; Bounty Hunter - nothing about Trooper - is getting a nerf; and all closes in general will have their skill tress adjusted significantly to warrant a free refund of all skills to rebukld with new trees

    - new endgame gear and crafting

    - PvP rankings and future additions; as well as allowing same-faction fights on Voidstar and later Alderaan.

I'm really curious about the bounty hunter "nerf" ign mentioned. Especially the fact that it didn't mention trooper.

  9. I think the cross-class abilities make sense given what it's supposed to represent. Your parent is a Bounty Hunter, so you inherited one of their wrist gadgets. Your father is a Sith Warrior, so you inherit the ability to Force Choke.

I also think that the abilities will likely be signature stuff that doesn't rely on your weapons. They've said you get groin kick from smugglers and shown flamethrower from BH, and Force Choke from SW. I'd presume you get lightning from Inquisitor.

Makes me wonder if you'll get a stronger version of say, Choke, if both your "parents" are SW. Or a new ability all together perhaps? Will be interesting to find all this out.

  10. Most the Miraluka's eyewear clips horribly with head gear and does not look pleasing. Are plans in place to add a way to change our eye wraps?(After our characters creation) If yes, are there plans for additional eye wraps?

It makes sense that Miraluka should be able to change what they wear over their eyes, as it's simply a piece of clothing and not apart of their body.
