There is no need to expect different. Bioware made it pretty clear with the idiotic RNG and PvP gear decisions that they don't really give a flying f____ about PvP. I don't know that they really every have but at least they used to pretend to care. You are 100% correct, in fact one only needs to look at the posts in the PvP section that have an actual @bioware response. I think it's about 1/1000. Then they come back later and apologize for the lack of communication. Funny thing is some people actually believe that bioware cares about the PvP community.

I'm more surprised it took 5 games . The devs in this game clearly have no regard for PvP whatsoever. Many ignorant people will argue different but you need only look at the facts. My sub ends in 5 days and I can give a flying _____ about this 2xp bs they just implemented in order to encourage people to level alts but at the same time with the asinine RNG system in place, alts are a waste. Especially from a PvP standpoint. I don't think even after all the transfers to Harbringer I have seen it reach standard population except for maybe an hour or so. PvP queues have gotten longer since the new bolster bullsh*t in 5.1 (at level 70). If this was truly a free to play game I might hop on once in a while for kicks and giggles, but it is definitely not worth 15/mo. Bioware has long abandoned the PvP community, refusing to listen feedback.

THIS^^^. Theoretically, what you're saying, Eric, is that if I'm at an equal skill level as someone, but that someone had better LUCK in their RNG boxes, I'm at a disadvantage. This was intended? This is by far the most asinine PVP system developed by BW since launch. Even way back when you had a long grind at least it wasn't based off a luck RNG roll. I agree. This was not a fix, it wasn't even a band-aid on a fix. This is adding to the complexity of an already arduous grinding system reliant on RNG. At the rate RNG seems to work I'll be grinding for season 8 gear while season 17 is ending. Can we get an answer from a dev as to what @Bioware plans on doing about this failed attempt to fix the grind on alts??

It this right here^. Since launch it's been this way and BW can't fix it because it's not lag in the server sense, but the pathetic Hero engine. I remember when ops/scoundrels got the roll, so many people were reporting "hacking" when they would roll and "lag out." As much as I like to swear at the players who score the goal it's really BW's garbage engine the game is run on.

I too came back after a long hiatus and found the same problem except not until level70. As someone pointed due to everyone transferring to TRE or Harbringer, since BW is too lazy to merge servers, imps seem to dominate in terms of numbers and often in win percentage. Your only option IMO is to make imp toons or hope and pray that a couple large guilds get bored with the imbalance and switch to pub side (not likely).

While I agree 100% I'm not certain if everyone realized it or not but the price to transfer got dropped to only 90 cartel coins. It is most certainly not fair in the least but I believe it's BW's way of saying if you want to be on a populated server, do it yourself. They most likely have no intention of merging servers, which as someone pointed should have been done when instances were created. Even more so after you had the option to switch from PvE to PvP freely, which essentially made being on a PvP server somewhat pointless. There really should only be 2 US servers, one west coast and one east. I would love for this merger to happen but as they dropped the price of a transfer so low, I'm assuming they will NEVER spend the money to do so, and quite frankly their sorry dev team has way too many matters that need attention at the moment. I couldn't take the long queues on Bastion so sucked it up and transferred. In all honesty the death of this game has been a long time coming from since the beginning, when they let servers die before realizing, "oh crap, we are losing subs because there is no cross server play and servers are dead." Let's merge now that we've lost half our customers.

Not really. Originally, each class (not advance class) had it's own story line. Then after first xpac, Bioware and their awesome dev team decided it was easier to write one story line rather than put in the effort to write 4 for imperial and 4 for republic. It was actually fun leveling alts in the beginning because you got to experience all the different story lines. Now it's just boring and done more out of necessity than anything else.

Unless I am missing something, I have to do all the chapters from KOTFE on all my alts? I came back with this xpac only having a couple 65s, the rest of my toons are 60. However, I have about 12 toons in all, so am I understanding it correctly? Until I hit level 65 I have to go through the same conversations and cut scenes as I did already on 2 toons?

Well that worked, thank you! Now though, my resolution is 3840 x 2160 so certain things like chat and menus appear in very small font. Is there a way to scale to 2x or something?

Everytime I start the game in full screen, I get a black screen. However, if I load the game in windowed mode (not full screen windowed) I can load the game, change settings to full screen, adjust the resolution higher to match my laptop, then play fine. If I exit the game w/o changing it back to windowed mode, the game loads again to the black screen. I then have to change settings file manually to windowed, and it loads ok. I have an Alienware 17 r3 (yes I know people love to crack on this brand, do as you may) does anyone else have that issue? Is there a setting I must adjust or am I just having to exit the game every time in windowed mode? Actually, Lhancelot is right. The pvp community is lacking pub side during the day time which is what I was looking for in the first place but I did get to play quite a few games just had to wait a bit. Also, Krea, per your thread about what the a** clowns did in group ranked during your event, I will never do ranked on the Bastion. I've played this game since launch but took a hiatus and came back for 3.0(like many others) and I have played on many servers. I have to say, if a poll was taken as to where the most a**holes are in this game, 75% or so of people would name the Bastion king. The other 25% are the a**holes on the Bastion. I can't even count the number of times I was berated in REGS( wearing full t1 with some t2 gear which I am just clarifying it wasn't an issue of someone coming in to pvp with higher than 162 gear lowering their expertise), I didn't even bother attempting ranked. I'm sure it goes without saying I'm leaving the Bastion as a result and will put a couple toons on the Shadowlands to test and I have two on the Harbringer which seems to be a very mature server for pub side. Of course, compared to the Bastion, my 5yo nephew has a higher level of maturity so, we'll see. Thank you all for your replies

Thanks for the responses! I am giving Bastion a shot to see but there seems to be very little on fleet and que I have only tried a few times so can't say yet. As someone said it could be in part to 12x xp so we'll see

I am looking for a server that has an active pvp que(unranked or ranked) during the hours of 9am-5pm EST. I play both pub and imp side but would prefer pub side if possible. At this point, with as dead as que seems to be, I'd take either side. Is there a good server for PVP during the day (EST)?
