  1. sorry, posted in the wrong forum, polease delete this
  2. My issue started where yours is now, but now I can't even log into the Launcher. I can't figure out waht the helll is going on
  3. More or less, that is the rotation I run, with slight variations(mostly becasue I don't use Maul hardly at all, so I really dont' even really use that) Now, I do belive I exaderated just how much trouble I was having, and it does tend to be specific pulls in the instances we do most(the double core pull in TFB just before Operator IX is a good example of a pull I tend to have issues holding all the aggro with, despite using AoE threat -> Discharge -> Wither -> Shock -> Lacerate ->Thrash -> Shock -> Discharge -> Wither /repeat And as far as healer threat generation, I don't know the formula so I really can't argue either way. Edit: I keep forgetting to type Force Lightning into the rotation, but I use it every time I get 3 stacks
  4. Mechanically I can't figure out why I'm having an issue. I prioritize wither/discharge/Shock in that order, which are the main abilities to hold aggro for an assassin. Not sure what it is that I'm doing wring, especially because I used to never have even the slightest issue holding aggro. As far as why the Operative healers were pulling, it's likely because they're actually the best geared characters in our operations group.
  5. So, over the last few months I've been my guild's main tank, and over just the last couple weeks, I've noticed I've been having trouble holding aggro against some members of the group, primarily our main sorc DPS and our Op healers, which never really surprised me because they generate quite a bit of aggro themselves. However, over the last 2 raid nights we've had a Jugg being our offtank, and he's been pulling off of me like crazy without even trying. Now, just to put this into context, I have full 69/72 gear, and he is wearing mostly 63's with 2 66's. Now I knwo that with 2.0 they buffed jugg aggro generation and slightly nerfed assassin aggro generation, but I'm having one hell of a time holding aggro, while this juggernaut we have barely has to try. Now, I'm in Harbinger, and i've noticed that more than 3/5 tanks these days are Juggernauts, and i'm pretty sure I havn't seen another assassin tank outside of PvP in weeks. What the hell happened / am I doing something wrong that I need to correct to help with aggro generation? And has anyone else noticed a distinct drop in the amount of assassin tanks?
  6. I'd be willing to do that tbh. I'd rather not, BUT, if it'll keep costs down, I'd do it. Or what the guy above me said. I like his idea more.
  7. You know, I'd almost think you're making a joke, but I can tell you're not. This "bug fix" is the metaphorical slap across the face to those of us doing end-game matterial. My guild is not a hardcore raiding guild, we're more casual, but we're still getting close to the hardest content in the game. We have SM EC and TFB on farm, and we're doing progression runs on HM EC and TFB, and when you wipe somewhere between 10--30 times in a 4 hour period with these new 20k-30k repair bills PER DEATH, that's very nearly 270k in repairs PER PERSON, for 8 people, overall costing the raid a whopping 2.16 MILLION credits. Yes, occasionally we'll get that one sexy mod or armoring that we can sell, or that someone can try to RE, but we can't always have money, and we have families, we can't afford to play for 30 hours a week doing dailes on 4 characters a day, and i KNOW there are other guilds like us out there. We've suspended everything other than random EV/KP runs until this is fixed, and most of us won't even do those. So please, know what the hell you're talking about before you start getting bent outa shape because you feel someone "insulted your intelligence".
  8. to give you an adequate example, I pull form my own character list. Mizåti, Level 34 heal-spec'd Operative with orange flashpoint gear optimized with blue Cybertech crafted mods and armorings with blue Enhancements made by my Artificer. Prior to 1.7, my repair costs were so low I barely even noticed them, somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-400 credits from one death(or compiling up to about 2k-3k if I simply take armor damage to Yellow[20%] duriong standard combat without deaths). After 1.7, I try to do my daily flashpoint mission, unaware of the repair cost issue yet, and we wiped three times across the flashpoint(Which was Boarding Party if you're curious); my combined repair cost throughout the flashpoint(because I always make sure I'm 100% repaired before walking into a flashpoint) was 34k. My jaw dropped, being as that was more than 4x-6x the amount of credits i obtained form opening every chest, and killing very nearly every enemy in the instance, in ADDITION to the reward form the mission to do the flashpoint itself. That specific enough for you?
  9. Due to this credit bull****, I'm canceling my subscription. If they fix this, I'll consider coming back. Only thing I can think of is this. I'm glad they did this sh*t 2 days BEFORE I paid them, gave me time to cancel.
  10. I can see ther server list, but I tried all 8 US servers, it won't let me connect to ANY of them.
  11. "I'm hauling your *** in!" "But it's true I say! The codex lied to me! The codex liiiiiiieeeeeeeeddddd*fades as you're dragged off*" As unfortunate as it is, I have to agree with your assessment of Andronikos. I mean, doesn't Bioware think all the girls love the broody guy who only wants his freedom(Blatant Fenris reference)? And I was really upset that female Inquisitors didn't get to romance Talos. He's he's older than Andronikos, (which is implied by the VAs, not so much in the codex) but I really like Talos. Khem: Grr I'ma eat you for binding me grrrrrr Andronikos: I'ma pirate so don't you try taking my freedom away or else! (imagined a grr after that) Ashara: Oh no! Waht have I done! well I guess I don't have any choice but to follow you and be your aprentice, but I refuse to be a sith! Even though I can never be Jedi again.... Xalek: If you're weak I'll kill you... >.> Got an cake? Talos: *starts rambling on about sith history and imperial history, but in a cute way that makes it interesting and makes me actually want to have him out while I'm questing* Me: Can I marry this one please?
  12. The majority of Act 1 in the IA story kinda had me on the fence, but on each planet, going form Balmorra to Nar Shaddaa then Tatooine and Alderaan, you put pieces of the puzzle together. The part of the story that took me from "This is pretty fun, I like this" to "**** thisis so amazing I have to keep playing" was the very end of Act 1. It was truly amazing, and one of the optional endings made me feel like I was directing a movie. I've only just started Act 2 but it's already extremely intriguing and even when I try playing one of my alts I just always come back to the Agent for the amazing story. Imperial Agent scores a 9/10 (so far)
  13. when it comes to topics like this alot of people forget one simple fact. In the Star Wars universe history seems to repeat itself. Now I'm not talking about the Vong at all, I'm actually referring to your notion that they "shouldn't" be able to stop them. Look at the general level of technological advancement in Star Wars, going from Pre-TOR to the NJO saga and you'll notice that more than once that certain technologies are lost and reclaimed later. If anything, the TOR timeline seems to be MORE technologically advanced than NJO is, so why couldn't a joint mission manage to push the Vong back? And if it's isolated to one planet there wouldn't exactly need to be a record of the event at all; especially if you think about the fact that the Jedi seemed to be historians(after a fashion) and once they were mostly wiped out at the turn of the era (from EP 3-4) that knowledge would be lost.
