  1. Merc healing - Pvp Perspective only There is a couple problems with merc healing verses the other two healers. The first is the lack of any proactive heals. Sorcs have bubbles and ops have hots but mercs have kolto shell that only can go on one person and doesn't trigger enough to be super useful. I would suggest that the abiliity be able to be placed on 3 people and the energy cost be reduced to zero (as it was pre 1.2). This way, you can have some proactive abilities going around but not enough to overwelm the battle field. The second problem is energy management. Mercs have, by far, the worst resource management of all the healers with no good way to recoup for losses. I would suggest one change here. Have activating supercharged gas, when activated vent 25 heat instead of the current 8. This would go along way to get the energy management on par with other classes. Merc healers lack an "oh ****" button. Sorcs can bubble for 10 sec of invuln (which they can heal via tree option) and Operatives have vanish and to a greater extent, roll. Energy shield spec'ed with poweshield isn't enough. I suggest that Supercharged gases can be used while stunned and grants 3 charges of a buff that lasts 8 sec that, while you have one of these buffs, you can cast emergency scan without a cooldown and it automatically crits. So your oh crap button is being able to chain 2 emergency scans back to back that auto crits. With Mercs only having 2 other channeled heals, this seems reasonable given their vulnerability to interrupts. Lastly, a slight increase to the base healing of the two channeled heal abilities. If Mercs are supposed to have the best single target heals, then buff their channeled abilities a bit. [
  2. This is pretty much why I don't play arenas (at least on the solo queue or when they come up in normal rotation. http://i.imgur.com/u9Ao9yp.jpg

  4. While this maybe or may not be true, I can almost promise that you will have more fun there than in game.
  5. I love the new arena in a constructed 4 v 4 environment and even, to a lesser extent, solo ranked. What i think is absolute lunacy is not having an option to opt out of them in your standard rotation in a non-ranked environment. They are different enough from your 8v8 "objective" (which i do loosely use to describe what Bioware calls warzones) combat to warrant a distinction. Maybe I have been jaded by the probably 5 to 7 games where it was 3 v 4 the entire match. Or maybe having one too many teammates that show up in old battlemaster gear. Or the one too many 2 healer 2 dps vs 3 healers 1 dps matchups. Or maybe its my own fault for getting my hopes up that Bioware might deliver an enjoyable gaming experience more than 50% of the time. I just think it isn't too much to ask to have the ability to select the TYPE (notice i didn't even way which warzone) of pvp we would like to participate in. It seems to be a standard across the genre.
  6. I don't know man, we have some pretty hardcore ragers over here on Pot5.
  7. I think 1 lightning sorc 1 healing sorc 2 smash marauders will be strong. The kb root will be awesome from the dps sorc as will the "bubble stun" for CC and they all have good Oh **** buttons and burst.
  8. All three specs are viable but require different tactics from the rest of your group to take advantage.
  9. How many of the original core do you all still have? I would hate this to turn into another STS return.
  10. Can we stop trying to compare our girlfriends b.o0bs and just enjoy said b0o.bs?
  11. I think we have gotten off topic from what this thread was about. Some will want to stay, some will want to go. As for rateds, Aside from cross server queues the only way to get a healthy amount of competition and a large enough population of rated teams to where the "match making" system could actually work is if everyone could consolidate on one server. My only real argument for Bastion coming to Pot5 is that the population is smaller there. If a few of the top tier guilds made the leap over then it would sorta strong arm the remaining guilds that wanted competitive rateds to follow suit if they wanted to continue to do meaningful rateds. What its going to really come down to is latency and cost of transfer.
  12. I don't know about you, but reading all these bashing threads is getting to be alot of work. Always having to switch back and forth between threads. Having one to die, a new one to come along, and an ancient one resurrected. Lets have a centralized thread so we can question each others skill, disrespect each other's mother, and tell an online community about who is better in this video game as well as in the sack. Go!
  13. I would be fine with a legacy option as well. Anything to keep me from wasting time having to get them. Have both options, real cash, or ingame currency both sounds good to me.
  14. I understand what you are saying but not everyone plays the game for the story or has done the story multiple times. I PVP. I only want to PVP. Why should i be punished by only having access to only two companions??? I usually end up going back at level 50 and doing the quests (1 planet a day because the cut scenes are no longer fresh) until i get all of them. The mobs in these instances generally do nothing as i run/drive by. The net result is 10 hours of driving and spacebaring. Its not fun. I don't care if there is level restrictions (cant buy them until you were the level of the planet they come from) not everyone want to watch the story. Alot of people just want to do end game content. The story option is still there for everyone as an option, kind of like people can either run somewhere or take a speeder. If you want to see the view, you run, if you just want to get there, hop on the speeder.
  15. There are several items that need to make their way to the cartel shop. 1.) Ability to purchase your companions - Because not everyone wants to go though ten hours of storyline quests to be able to craft. For example, I like to exclusively PVP and level my characters that way. I hate the fact I have to go back when i am level 50 and just run around (as most of the mobs are too low of level to even attack you) to craft is silly. 2.) Head Start Starting level - Many other games do this as well. Allow you to creat your characters past level one or the "starter phase." I am thinking level 10 is a good place. Its only an hour and a half of game play but for those of us that have leveled tons of characters, its an hour and a half of getting hit in the junk by a toddler with a wiffle ball bat. 3.) Datacron packages - Again, They are available in game by devoting a day or two to the search. They are not game breaking (a few tens of stats isn't anything when everyone is walking around at 1800+). I am not including the +10 datatcron in this. There needs to be limits but i think being able to buy the Strength or Endurance package that contains them all isn't that bad. Just a few suggestions.
  16. This is a real non-issue. At least at the highest competition level of pvp. I have a Juggernaut that is my main that i have been playing since March. The only time this is ever really an issue is if you are on a bad team. If someone is hanging in your endzone and you can't win the 8 vs 7 at the middle, then odds are you are going to lose anyways. The good teams will let the other team score once they get past the 1st firetrap (unless a pull is available) to take control of mid and to grab the ball. That stealther in the endzone isn't worth a darn thing if their team doesn't have the ball. There is enough counters to this to make it a non issue. Pulls and having someone with knockbacks in position is a good counter. Sometimes the RNG of your team comp makes this difficult but those times are a minority. Now if your teammates use their abilities correctly usually is the issue. As a Juggernaut, i am only as good as your weakest player is bad. There is always that one guy that messes if up for the other team and i get to pull off the 10 sec score with an intercede, leap, push, leap.
  17. I think they just need to undo the 1.2 changes that really hurt the class. with all the other changes and TTK changes that happened since then, i think it would be about on par. Also, giving them an innate chance to ignore interrupts would be nice, with a chance to increase it somewhere on the talent tree.
  18. And they also have binders full of women. But not the pretty ones. They don't like those.
  19. I heard Bastion players can get girls pregnant using nothing but prescription medications and a turkey baster!
  20. Its a moot point anyways. Give it 5 more months and all the PVP servers will be consolidated anyways.
  21. you forgot about rage juggernauts with unstoppable. This would probably be the most overpowered "hybrid" 4 sec of cc immunity and 20% dr on leap. Bubble stun can't compete with that.
