  1. I wish the orbital strike looked like the orbital bombardment from Star Wars Empire at War, Forces of Corruption, except with increased projectile speed.
  2. For non-force users, Pellaeon is definitely first, followed by Han Solo and Wedge Antilles. For force users: Lightside is Jaina Solo, followed by the Skywalker family (Luke, Ben, and Mara) Darkside is definitely Darth Caedus, followed by Nihilus.
  3. So yeah, I suggest you add in the Jedi and Sith robes from the original Kotor. I always loved the Sith robes from that game and always wore them, regardless of what alignment I was going for. I feel like these robes would look awesome on both Warriors and Inquisitors (and Knights/Consulars for the Jedi robes). And think of the nostalgia these would produce for some people, such as myself, lol. 4. Funny thing is, to me, those items look more like they dont belong in star wars than the other items and armor sets. Although I will admit the speeder looks cool, but still not star wars-ish.
  5. The light and dark sides are equal in power, its just that Sith tend to attempt to increase their own power any way they can, whereas Jedi are more concerned with protecting others. Although Sith individuals are often more powerful than Jedi individuals, more powerful does not mean more skilled. Jedi are often more skilled in the grey area abilities (such as telekinesis, lightsaber skills), because they're more willing to take the long road practicing what they have, instead of attempting to increase their raw power or acquiring more abilities. That is why you often see Jedi defeating Sith in lightsaber combat, because skill will often defeat brute strength and power.
  6. Although I've never used it myself, I've heard that the AoE damage that you get from the engineering spec is quite good at clearing out the trash mobs. Personally I always went with marksmanship, the marksmanship burst damage is the highest ranged burst in the game, if not the highest burst out of any class.
  7. Although I dont have much experience with either class (ive got both but both are at low levels) I would guess that its probably easier to solo stuff with a jugg since a lot of their tanking comes from armor and hp, and a lot of that will carry over into the dps skill trees.
  8. Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi are really good series, though you should read Legacy of the Force first if you want Fate of the Jedi to make pretty much any sense at all. The Darth Bane trilogy is quite interesting and a good read. The X-wing series is decent for anyone who likes to read about the more ordinary people (not jedi, obviously), as is the Republic Commando series. In my mind, the New Jedi Order series is pretty much the flagship series of the expanded universe (at least for the post-movie era), though it isnt required reading for anything else. Be warned, the NJO series is very long (19 books) and has a very dark storyline.
  9. I agree, what a lot of people defending the series dont seem to realize is that the series tramples all over a ton of stuff that was written about the clone wars, far before the series came out. Not to mention the written stuff interlocks with a large amount of the other written stuff from other periods, to the point that if you say the cartoon series is canon and the books that conflict with it arent, you've essentially just destroyed a lot of stuff that isnt even in that time period.
  10. Not to mention that delta is more likely to ambush MC, not the other way around, since an ambush is probably easier to set up with 4 than with 1.
  11. I would like to point out that one of the commandos threw himself on top of a live grenade and survived completely unharmed, with just a minor dent to his chestplate. One thing you also have to consider is that blasters are plasma weapons, not laser weapons. Also another one of the commandos survived unharmed against a flamethrower completely engulfing his armor. MC might be faster than the average human, but so is delta squad. The clones were genetically enhanced to be far more effective warriors than normal humans, and the commandos were enhanced even further. Not to mention, there's 4 of them, and only one MC. And, i know its off-topic, but just for the record, MC would have no chance against 4 of the Null ARCs.
  12. The difference between the lightside and darkside is that they are different kinds of power. Darkside power is mostly conflict-based. I say conflict and not combat because manipulation and power plays are also forms of conflict. Conflict-based power is the most easily visible, and as such, often the most tempting. Lightside power is, in a way, also based on conflict, but it is based on resolving conflict, not causing conflict. And the way that they resolve conflict is usually peacefully. Jedi tend to focus their powers towards diplomacy and problem solving, and when presented with a problem, the violent solution always comes last for them. Thus, the lower ranked jedi, such as padawans and knights, tend to have less combat prowess than their sith equivalents, especially against foes wielding lightsabers and force powers.. It is usually at the jedi master/sith lord level that they begin to even out in combat skills. Also, its important to note that the characters we talk about tend not to have the (relatively) unbiased views that we do.
  13. Not true actually, theres resistance whenever the blade touches or cuts though something. For example, in episode 1 when Qui-gon is cutting through the blast doors on the sep ship, he is visibly putting all of his strength into it.
  14. Ive got an sith assassin, deception (infiltration) is incredibly fun during warzones.
  15. The second shock is affected by the voltaic slash damage bonus, as the damage bonus is not consumed by the first shock. All the time I get a 1400 then 1500 double shock. I know since my rotation is based around taking advantage of this, as well as the buffs to discharge in the deception tree.
  16. As a deception assassin who has tried madness, I would dispute that. Deception dps is amazing. Plus it isnt nearly as squishy as madness.
  17. This. Back before I had my assassin at 50, I was playing a match on the Alderaan warzone (cant remember the name) and there was a single operative guarding grass. Now here I am with my deception assassin, thinking "I can probably burst him down to nothing in a couple seconds". So I go up, use a stun, and burst him down to 1/3rd or 1/4th health, and then he stuns me, and while I'm stunned, heals himself all the way up back to full health. The stun breaks, I burst him again, he almost dies again, then he stuns me, heals himself, and then, cause he had an extra half second, stealths up. I break him out of stealth, same thing happens. This cycle repeated at least 4 or 5 times until i finally gave up on him and on that objective. Anyone who's played a deception assassin in pvp should know how difficult it is to survive 1v1 against one for a non-tank, for that long and especially without anyone dying. He also happened to be 20 levels below me. I was using my own stuns as well.
  18. *Companion spoilers* Personally I suspect that they do still exist, they just usually keep to their home planet. Or maybe it isnt known by anyone but them where their home planet is.
  19. Personally I believe Bane is between the second and third categories. His aspirations and goals are in the third category, as he knew he could never be the one to take control of the galaxy for the Sith, and everything he did was to set up the new Sith order for a long and slow rise to power. But for his fighting, and short term goals, he was definitely more of the second category, as it's described in the books that he often went into an uncontrollable battle rage, and had trouble controlling his anger, even in the third book. Though mostly in the first and second books, the second especially, for reasons that the readers of the book should remember quite well.
  20. Andronikos is my favorite, probably because he makes me think of Han Solo, except black, lol. Talos Drellik is probably my second favorite, just for all of his eccentricities. I also seem to be one of the few people that actually really likes Kaliyo (and no, on my agent, I am not playing rebellious to the empire).
  21. With the lore in general. I doubt they would knowingly make a conflict with the prequel trilogy, but neither do I think they would be particularly careful about checking that. They also dont seem to care about the EU.
  22. Not sure if this has been said before or even if I posted this before, but one of the standard conversation options, the inquisitor occasionally says "Just doing my good deed for the decade." In such a sarcastic and irritated tone, I smile whenever I see it. (yes, when something in game is super funny to me, most I ever do is smile.)
  23. Depends, are you talking about the tv series or the darksaber incident that occured during that era. Either way it doesnt matter, the tv series, no matter what george lucas says, conflicts with too many other things to be considered anywhere close to canon, and I dont care about the darksaber either.
  24. I would have a purple, double bladed lightsaber. I would use a combination of Soresu for defense and Ataru for offense, Soresu because it works well with a double bladed lightsaber, and Ataru because personally I suspect that the acrobatics involved would also work quite well with a double bladed lightsaber, in addition to being able to utilize the momentum gathered during Soresu's defensive patterns. Also, the purple is just because I think purple colored lightsabers look amazing . Also, if I was to name it, it would probably be something like Zero.
