I really do hope 1.2 sorts this out, High resolution (cut-scene equivalent) for the nearest 10-15 people for example and I'll be right back to this game. As it stands now however, whilst I find the game fun to play the graphics just hit me hard. A lot of enjoyment I get from MMOs is the stat and visual progression of my character, as well as being able to appreciate the world we play in. Sadly, in swtor, the textures of armour seem to get worse and worse as you progess through to higher level

For most of the thread you've been treating it as gospel though, not a question on your part. I don't think you're an idiot, I just don't think you're thinking logically on this issue. I'm doing a MSc in Physics by the way, nice to meet you ~ Also, where do you get the 10fps? If it's in pvp and fleets, well, from your laptop specs that can be expected, a 9800M would only just meet the minimum requirements, and a 2.2ghz celeron processor is slow

I hate this low-res texture issue as much as you guys and I'm most likely not resubbing for a while until a fix is made (even a self + companion option would suffice for me). But let's stay logical guys, the idea of a remote-rendering method for a GAME with a high volume of people is just ludicrous, that Stanford model is not applicable to gaming environments.

Ah well that's a huge shame, I won't be resuming my subscription after this month, graphics are an important part of PC gaming for me. This game has great gameplay and story, but the low-res textures kills it for me, I'd hate to know what it feels like at high level when your armour sets just look washed out. Bioware, good luck with the game.

Looking at those comparison screenshots above - I'll be very happy when those high res textures are working, right now I'm not playing too much as the low resolution textures do get to me. Everything else in this game I love so far, and most bugs I'm concerned with have already been identified and fixes are incoming. Bioware employees must have the patience of a saint to deal with some of you guys, lots of posts in this forum are just absolutely painful to read.
