  1. Free To Play is not a bad thing. As long as the basic game itself must be purchased, it will be just fine, just as Guild Wars will be. It's the totally free games - free to get, free to play - that are the epic fail in my opinion. Free to play SWTOR is fine as long as they have to buy the game first.
  2. I can like & play multiple games at once. I very much am anticipating Guild Wars2, but I am in NO WAY thinking of unsubbing from SWTOR, far from it! I look forward to continuing my leveling of my 'toons and new content to come. NO game will kill SWTOR for me. I like it.
  3. yeah with legacy unlocking so much stuff, it's going to be near impossible to update all the dialogues to fit the combinations that weren't originally planned for -- i had wondered if this was goign to be an issue (albeit a totally minor one, i 100% understand why it happens and wouldn't expect it to be fixed, what a nightmare that would be!)
  4. If anything is falsified I blame EA, not Bioware. Bioware is a great company with their hands tied by EA; Bioware is not to fault for anythying. It's the guys with the big $$$ holding the leash that yank their chain. Bioware is great. EA = suckville.
  5. Grind-gear endgame is only for companies with a sub, to keep you on the gear-grinding treadmill. A free to play game has no need of such nonsense.
  6. The day the release date for GW2 was announced, WOW lost 100's of thousands of subscribers. Fact. SWTOR will lose some, too. Fact. What is NOT fact is that it doesn't mean the "death" of any of the aforementioned games. It just means people will jump ship to play what they want. As i'm not into "must get to end game content ASAP' and all that, I'll play them both.
  7. Nah, GW2 wont' affect SWTOR very much. I'm one of the biggest advocates for GW2 -- been waiting years for this game --- but GW2 is a free to play game (free after buying the game) I can maintain my SWTOR sub & play GW2 concurrently without any financial drain, and I"m sure many others will see it the same way. They're both very different games, and I don't see why there has to be competition - I will play one when i need a break from the other one, and rotate 'em. Doesn't have to be a fanboy "all or nothing" kind of thing. I very much enjoy SWTOR and I really enjoyed the GW2 beta --- but I missed elements of SWTOR while playing it, so I will definitely continue with SWTOR and play GW2 also. On the note of any game being a "killer" for any other game --- Nah. SWTOR is a very different animal from GW2, and not all SW fans are fantasy-mmorpg fans, and vice-versa. To each their own.
  8. YOu can assure all you want that it's not motion sickness but you are 100% wrong. I get it all the time from some video games and it has nothing to do with my digestive system, the problem is when the motion in the video games throws off the equilibrium and the problem begins in the brain not in the stomach, so sorry doctor but you are wrong.
  9. I had this problem, too, until I went and had my eyes checked, and discovered that one eye was seeing just slightly less efficiently than the other, and looking at quick motions on the computer screen was straining my eyes and throwing off my equilibrium (ie, dizziness). I got some over the counter reading glasses and the problem is gone. I didn't notice any difference in my sight when reading or anything else, but the problem was just so slight (the difference in ways my eyes were seeing) I didn't even notice until i was playing video games, and it was the cause of the problem.
  10. I'd go for this in a heartbeat!!! Keep the $15/month sub fee, of course - just give us paying subscriber the option to play offline - you're still making the $$$ from the game, we just are choosing to solo the content! bioware has a strictly online yet non-mmorgp --- Diablo 3 --- and it works for them --- why not do that, have that option? I'd be a lifetime subscriber with that option
  11. so i'm unsubbing :*( I don't WANT to - but I've tried to play all weekend long and the servers are all heavy pop or full, * mobs are all dead and lpeople are standing around waiting for respawns * fps is horrible due to massive overcrowding * lag is horrific; if i had been able to stay on my original server, i'd be a happy customer for years to come. but forcing me onto these busy overpop'ed servers = me no longer being able to play the game it's not personal preference; it's from being playable to no longer playable, due to being forced off my other servers, so i have to quit <sob> ty for the fun the last 7 months it was a blast and i will miss swtor horribly, sorry
  12. please listen to us, bioware! many of us, like from soresu and others, really like having low population servers to play the really fun mission/storylines on --- but on the server your'e making me play on now, it's crazy - right now there's 280 people on korriban alone i can't even play there! the lag is horrible, the servers are overcrowded, please don't kill off the other servers - just implement free (or heck, even paid transfers) at all times, and let people who want to go to overcrowded servers go whenever they want to, but don't force us to stay on just a few servers - they're so heavily overcrowded that playing on nights and weekends = impossible! the lag, the crowds, the low fps, i love this game but if it continues like this, i might have to quit after all - i can't play the game!
  13. with my 10,000 posts. my "destination" server is so full that it's unplayable, and i sadly can't do anything there so I am just cruising forums. I wish I could play on my server i'm forced into, but it's so crowded, so laggy, so saturated with folks i'll have to just write off weekends altogether. :*(
  14. I don't think that will happen, just like changing advanced classes will never happen. The legacy system would be messed up for one (unlocks) and back to the above point about adv. classes, they are a BUSINESS and they want people to keep subscriptions going, and that means = rerolling! Leveling is not hard here,, it's rather quick compared to other games, so they will jsut have you reroll, not change. (that's not a cristicism, bioware, just a statement of fact: I don't agree with race changes, either) I can see implementing gender changes or color scheme changes, but they will not race change, i guarantee that.
