  1. Sniper, 50, fully updated BM gear. With the 1.2. update, I lost about 4% damage and 5% hitpoints, while using the same skill tree (no endurance buffs) as before. I cannot find anything in the patch notes explaining these ninja nerfs. Anyone has an explanation?
  2. - No heals - No stealth - No gap closers - No escapes - Low hitpoints All significant damage abilites require cover which a) takes time to set up (yes, that split second does matter!) b) doesn't allow you to kite and c) has bugs While a sniper can be great for team support (i.e. door defense in Void Star), he/she cannot be consistently successful with CC alone. Whoever designed this class had good intentions, but was not a pvp'er at heart.
  3. Tatooine! There is a GTN in the middle of the PvP zone of all places - shop until you drop!
  4. Interesting! I had the same problem yesterday, fighting another sniper (three times in the same match). He would damage me, but I could not damage him (nobody else could either at the time). After the game, I saw he had only died twice with 30+ kills. I can exclude FPS issues, my latency is very good and I have decent gear too. While I can't exclude stims or defensives from other players, their team didn't have a healer, so that was not a problem. This never happened before, so I don't know if it was just a glitch (this game has so many) or if it was an intentional exploit - I'd say it's a 50/50 chance to be either
  5. Sometimes, there are good reasons to go afk. The last 4 hours before server shutdown, every single pvp on my server was dominated by the same 6 man pre-made. I don't know how they got 6 in there consistently, but they did. 5 were from one guild, plus the same extra buddy - time after time. First few hours, I fought and lost. But as every pvper knows, solo queue without vent vs. premade with vent is just no contest. So the last few matches, I merrily afked in some secret hiding spot (every map has one) and did my crew skills. I will continue to do so until Bioware makes a separate queue for premades. Bottomline - since premades ruin solo-que, afking is justified!
  6. I've been playing MMO's for a decade or longer (yeah, I'm old). SWTOR is one of the better ones and I still enjoy playing it. Especially the story line ideas are interesting and well done. That said, the game needs improvement: 1) Absolutely terrible customer support (if I get another meaningless "droid mail", I'm gonna hurl) 2) Too many annoying, frustrating bugs (especially for agents, but other classes have trouble too) 3) PvP is atrocious, classes are not very balanced, and "just say no to Huttball"! 4) Many standard MMO features are missing As it is, I won't renew my subscription - but still I'm hoping Bioware will change my mind before it runs out.
