  1. People are crazy if they think PVP is more difficult than operations with the current level of skill in this game. At least the NPC executes its rotation and tries.
  2. I have to disagree, sorcs during the time of their dominance didn't have even good single target damage potential. They were good on scoreboards because of their dotspread, but unlike current mercs, weren't able to supplement their overpowered survivbability with insane dps/burst.
  3. While I do think it would be good to up bolster some, I disagree with this. Sorc DPS are in probably the worst state the dps disciplines of a class have ever been in in this game, and snipers, maras, sorc helas, and merc dcds are quite overtuned. In other words the class balance right now is atrocious and upping bolster wouldn't really do much besides helping out lesser geared characters.
  4. ROTHC was by far SWTOR's best expansion. There isn't even a contest, it's so far ahead of the rest.
  5. You don't really understand the issue with sage/sorc dps. Their damage output has been subpar since 3.0 and every expansion for whatever reason has worsened the problem. They can get good damage numbers in PVP due to fluff damage and their very strong survivability pre 5.0, but in operations where it clearly shows a specs killing power, they have been pretty much vastly inferior to their contemporaries in snipers and mercs for 3 expansions running now in terms of killing power.
  6. Not sure if trolling or just flat out wrong. Sorcs objectively do the worst damage outside of maybe pyrotech if you ignore fluff damage that only boosts opposing team's healing numbers. This is from my experience (and just about anybody else's) but in case you need data: https:// http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=847112 Sorcs honestly haven't done good damage since the early 3.0 days with force storm before the mega nerf. In recent past expansions their survivability was insane in comparison to other dps classes, but they have had a single target damage issue for 3 expansions running.
  7. This, I wouldn't care as much if there was any decent amount of actual new content other than the abandoned stuff, but that's too difficult I guess. Not that pretty much everybody except the devs and the white knights saw this coming though.
  8. Yes, dps sage/sorc is in maybe the worst spot the DPS of an advanced class has been in since launch. Heals is still the strongest which shows how good BWA is at balancing classes when sorc DPS was under tuned since 3.0 and they nerfed that the hardest followed by PTs.
  9. Not sure if serious. The old system was far less complicated than what is coming in 5.1, and the old system was endlessly superior as well. Nothing complicated about it, currencies = gear at vendors that were right next to each other.
  10. The difference is that WoW at least has new non-recycled content, which at least gives something fresh to work on. As for SWtoR, heh, no new meaningful content in 2 years.
  11. Hmm, off the top of my head there was the bait and switch with the removal of ranked 8v8s, there was never going more than a year between new operations (2 years and counting since that), and bringing back the remaining missing class companions in the expansion after KOTFE. There could be more, that's just off the top of my head. You can tell yourself everything is fine all you want, but it's pretty obvious if you just look at anything comparing populations like torstatus. The last couple of lines are quite funny.
  12. Wait, you believe anything the SWTOR team tells you even after all their straight up lies? KOTFE wasn't their most successful expansion looking at revenue, at best it was equal with SOR. Subs != success As for KOTET's failure, it's pretty obvious looking at the game's population tbh. Otherwise BWA wouldn't have done back to back livestreams when they normally are on vacation.
  13. That's what happens when you make it so that an expansion is free with a sub instead of buy to pay. Still didn't make them any more money than SoR even though they had Star Wars hype (which was by far the driving factor). So if ROTHC and SOR were financial disappointments, I wonder what KOTET is going to be because it is far worse. KOTFE would have been the same, but it was carried by the one time chance of TFA releasing. BWA did a reboot which in essence killed any chance their game had. Proof that KOTFE was a success being Ben Irving's cheerleader letter makes me chuckle.
  14. That's why this game has had success when delivering operations in a timely manner (RotHC, and early SoR) and had it's most spectacular failures when ignoring them (post launch, late SoR, KotFE, and KotET)? And before you try to argue KotFE was a success, it was this game's biggest failure since launch by a large margin. You had Star Wars at the highest point it will probably ever reach, and a multimillion Blur Trailer for advertising and the best they could do was the same revenue that SoR had. This was further shown when it was followed by far the most tepid number rise in an expansion in KotFE's sequel expansion.
  15. Op says gameplay is fun itself but then goes to call operations just upscaled flashpoints with no replay value. I'll give it a 2/10 for the rambling, but I feel like I'm being too generous.
  16. As a lightning sorc main that was forced to reroll you have my sympathies, but you know what's coning.
  17. Their goal is to have literally everything faster than ops, so that doesn't surprise me.
  18. That's the reason the game is in the state it is in. BWA targets new people to the exclusion of everybody else. This causes BWA to lose loyal subscribers because they give them practically nothing new, and they end up worse off than before when their target audience inevitably leaves. I miss when this game was healthy pre 3.0 because BWA actually provided content for their existing players.
  19. The shield with the utility is op and pretty hard to avoid. Since you can get the heal by clicking off the shield buff, and with how often you can get the shield if they are focusing you, mercs are far more op than Sorcs have been since 3.0.
  20. Even with how little they communicate with their customers, they still manage to not deliver on promises over and over. First the cross server queueing, then never going a year between new operations, and latest all companions being brought back. It's just sad to see.
  21. Subscriptions were up due to the pre order sub rewards, yes, but since revenue wasn't mentioned as being up over the previous year, I don't think that means anything. Regardless, being called out negatively in the quarterly report isn't a good thing no matter how it's spun. Especially since they had a one time opportunity to gain more loyal subscribers with the flood of new players due to TFA, and being worse off than they were the previous year shows that KOTFE was anything but a positive.
  22. This nailed it. Sorceror DPS has been inferior to sniper and mercenary for 2 entire expansions now, while their utility has been too strong for PVP. Going further in this direction is and just makes the game more boring for the few remaining sorc DPS players that are any good.
  23. Troll harder. Let's spell it out for you. Waiting out 3 years with just 1 set of operations isn't having patience? Not to mention, the only communication regarding operations in that time has been flat out lies or retcons. But finally getting fed up, is failing to have patience and it is the fault of players that they haven't gotten an operation?
