  1. Seriously, healing over the top? Wait, 1500hp heal for 1/8th of your power bar, is it really over the top? Yeah, one damage dealer had troubles killing a healer spamming ALL his heals on himself... what about real world with 4-men assist on one of your mates when you're healer? With about 1k DPS per enemy, 4 enemies, that's 4k DPS, or 4 seconds to kill a target at most (4 4k crits could virtually be instant-kill). Do you seriously think any healer has enough time to heal that, beside incredible luck on crit heals? Before 1.2, my heal merc was already frequently 50/50 heal/damage, now I almost play her as a damage dealer because I've not enough time to heal, whereas enemy healers have no problem to mitigate my own (burst) DPS since I'm in pickup groups with no one assisting each other... wait... THAT is the real issue with "unkillable healers"!
  2. PvP has never been perfect for numerous reasons, one of which being the expertise thing, but at least it was playable and even enjoyable. As long as you had decent players in your team, even facing the toughest team you could PLAY and lose with honors... That's not the case anymore with this 0.2 patch!! Some will argue stuffing is easier, but it's true only for the ones already above average and in premade teams, pickup you'll stand no chance at all against them, so you'll win ZERO commendation in the long run unless you give up when you are against these teams, which seem to just assist to demolish any target and then go to the next, whatever target it is. 1- damage output increased (~6% with the expertise boost of Battlemaster gear alone) 2- healing diminished by a small amount, not that it makes a difference since when 2+ ****** damage dealers hit someone he'll die even if you burn all your "mana" on him if they're not killed beforehand, which involves more allies to kill the enemies attacking your ally and so on... at some point, someone will take enough DPS to die before even casting a heal on him 3- commendations reward diminished (~30% less overall considering 1:1 win/loss with medals each time) 4- prices of commendations-buyable items went up (doubled for medpac and stim, funny how the cooldown timer of the former went down along with this) 5- stuff now directly buyable with warzone commendations, at quite high rates This leads to an infernal spiral where the "bad" players (not necessarily by their skill or whatever, but possibly by stuff alone) will remain there, while the "good" ones (and there, there's absolutely no skill involved in assisting a mate to zerg a target) will gain even better stuff to crush them even easier. Let's project a little in the future... - healers will quit/respec to damage dealers, probably even mass damage dealers (AoE damage is higher than single target damage, overall) - no one will find it funny anymore to instant-die or instant-kill - game will be phased out So... Let's use common sense and rethink what has been done since the beginning of the project, and that's not for the PvP side alone but for the game in every aspect. What was the intent behind Valor? What was the intent behind Expertise? Let me try to find... counterbalance the difference between players and mobs, which are clearly "unbalanced" for some reason? If commendations are a "PvP" currency, why should we end up with credits beside them? As with almost every aspect of the game, it seems the ideas behind what we have now were lost on the road to the release, let alone post-release, as if something like 10 teams were involved sequentially without communication. Having played and enjoyed DAoC for almost as long as it had french servers, I can assure you I'm not the kind of player leaving easily, but here, now, with what I see, I'm clearly thinking at unsubscribing because I see no reason to farm again and again, be it PvE with dailies, flashpoints and operations or PvP with all the fresh meat... uh... freshly 50 toons. If only crafting was something useful... but no, again the exact same issue with many unfinished things overlapped by other unfinished things. Sorry for the booksize post, but I don't see anyone fully taking the point, and sorry for the some grammatical issues in my redaction since I'm some stupid Frenchy.
