I don't see how marks is better than engineering for leveling in PvE. Marks sucks for leveling 1-40 since its just single target and mobs come in groups of 4 on quests and there are usually several groups that stand before you and your objectives. Are you meaning MM is good for leveling through PvP?

I think 2 is too small for some reason when playing a trooper. It looks ok for other classes though.

I was thinking of rerolling to fatman I have about 6 toons all around level 30 on my current server which lost 50% of its pop in about a week due to an aussie server opening ( thats what they tell me?). Fleet used to be around 200 primetime now its around 100-90 for me,,,ouch. Is it worth it or not?

So at 50 things are ridiculously difficult for operative? At 50 are they ridiculously difficult for sniper as well?

I think operative kind of sucks and sniper is pretty cool. They are both 25. Is this enough evidence and high enough level to shelve my operative? The reason I ask is I was told that Operative isnt good until 40? and Sniper shines early? Is this true or false and is there any reason to continue with my operative if I do not enjoy it and get totally owned in pvp with it so far at 25? Or am I not giving it a fair chance yet? BTW I don't mind the operative playstyle of sneaking around and backstabbing it is just very weak in pvp for me right now compared to sniper...

I hear everyone dogging the spec, I have not tried it. Even though the spec is laughed at in many threads I still am not sure why everyone hates it so much. Looking at the skill tree it would seem it is a "harry dotter" type spec, these specs usually performed well in pve and pvp in my past mmo experinces. Is it because it does not perform well in pvp in swtor? Is that why people rag on it so much? or is it a broken or bugged skill tree?

I heard the defense stat is for the other tank classes and bad for powertechs. I was told you might as well use crit or power even. Is it that worthless of a stat for us? obviously absorb is better but i cant always get it.

What did you enjoy most and what did you think worked best?

In the meantime I roll up roidfreaks (they narrowly beat out toothpick legs).

I am currently seeing the best psychiatrist in town and he promises that one day they will add a 2.5 and that makes me happy.

Body type 2.5 would be perfect.

I mean 2 looks too skinny and had toothpick legs especially on a trooper..then 3 is a roidfreak.... I keep going back and forth..maybe I am OCD about it...but how did you decide?

I have heard conflicting stories but if you were to advise a new player would you say go merc or powertech? My bro likes range and wants to play a bounty hunter...but all the negativity surrounding mercs now gives me pause. I am pretty sure that powertech is exclusively melee right?

In that case is vanguard hands down the best spec to play? and what skill tree would you suggest post patch? I prefer range but if commando sucks there is not point I guess..vanny is all melee correct?

I haven't seen end game armor but every trooper on my server is male bt 3. I havent seen a 2 yet, why?

Everyone on my server is a 3...i don't think i have seen a 2 or 1 yet.
