  1. Is there some reason, with all changes and patches going on, we can't get companion animations fixed? They run around unhooked when they shouldn't be...they jam lit weapons into their bodies...etc. It seems like such a small thing...but has been like this for as long as I remember. Is there some overwhelming programing challenges i'm unaware of. Don't get me wrong, ima fan...but these buggy companions just seem so sloppy.
  2. I know I feel much better reading these posts...I'm only at level 22 using the veng tree and just generally feeling much more squishy than I figured I would...especially with my Jedi feeling much "tougher"...
  3. keeping hope alive. There's sooo much stuff about the armours and outfits in this game that needs to be addressed...but the hood/mask thing (hoods optiona? I'M TRAPPED IN MY HOODIE!!!) come on...if it worked in beta, why not here. needs fixing!! (ps. the colour matching idea sucks *** too. give us a palette ffs!)
  4. I just wish we could have some vertical movement...apparently in highly technically advanced societies floaty vehicles and giant flying reptiles have to follow roads...
  5. OP I think you feel this way for one simple reason: in SWG you felt you had some impact on the world and there was a sense of interdependence; that your presence in the world mattered. My first experience with that was in Ultima where I had my little house on the road where I sold reagents and dyes mostly. Not much...but my wee little footprint. I pvp'd (if you can call it that) helped level guildies all that stuff as well. I "think" that's probably how the folks in Eve feel about their little mad science experiment of a game. SWTOR feels like a giant single person game with lots of people playing at the same time. I love the game as a KOTOR 3, but as an MMO...not so much...(yet I hope...) Your actions, decisions, associations, affiliations, professions, equipment....they just don't matter one whit.
  6. guys guys guys... it's not just the all the crazy loading screens and indoor speeders that's the problem ALL TRAVEL SUCKS IN THIS GAME! Whether it's quick travel, getting to ships, the taxis (***!!), even just traveling on speeders completely sucks. I agree with all the stuff in this thread...but let's not be too narrow here. Travel. Sucks.
  7. bah...started another thread before noticing this one.. .i'm not big on posting on forums, but man the travel totally sucks *** in this game. I know i'm spoiled coming from a super hero mmo, but this travel is just terrible. From getting to and from your ship to the almost useless speeders to the taxi flying mounts which have to follow roads? Just stupid stupid stupid.
  8. Sorry...I'm coming from a super hero mmo and the travel there was fun...I was sooo disappointed when I got my speeder...slow...no boosts or cool physics...nothing. I crawl past a runner going the same direction. ***? And why when I jump and a flying creature does it have to follow roads? Is there a reason we can't go "as the crow flies..." I personally like the environments I've seen so far...would be nice to actually see above the treeline when I'm on a flying animal... How many loading screens do i need to pass to get to my ship? Really? Is it just to eat up time and slow down my leveling? if so, that's cheap. Really...just terrible and unnecessary.
  9. 41 yo management consultant...yeah...just came off of 6 years in CoX and playing MMOs since UO. Closet gamer for sure with the clients I work with...but from time to time I'll have a client you can just tell after a few minutes of conversation that they're a gamer lol. Like finding another member of a secret club lol.
