  1. So I'm considering rerolling a healer class and I don't know what class to choose. I have read most guides on the class forums but I still don't know which to choose. From what I've read sorcerer/sage is clearly above the other 2 classes in efficiency. But it doesn't really matter to me, I'm more interested in the play style of each . Compared to wow is it fair to say that BH/ trooper = paladin sorcerer/sage = priest and scoundrel /op = Druid ? (by = i mean it's the closest playstyle when comparing the 2 games. Also, any info about how each class feels would be great.
  2. Now I'm no math expert but in order to make the comparison to my spec you need to take into consideration the increased dmg I get from 3 pts in electric execution. Also don't forget that the Maui proc has a cd so it should also be taken into consideration as well. I think it's more of a choice than anything else since I'd rather loose a bit of dmg than have to watch my tiny ui bar for yet another proc

Well yesterday still playing as deception I was hitting for 1.2k ish hits and 2.5 k crits with maul ( bear in mind I only had 3 champion pieces and the rest were orange with blue mod enhancements ) after I respeced and got 3 new pieces thanks to the new bag reward system my trash was doing around 1k non crit. maybe those extra pieces make a bigger difference than I tought since you say u were doing 1800 non crit
  4. I have exactly the same spec on my shadow but I took electric execution instead of duplicity since maul without induction isn't worth it imo. double strike hits for much more. But I agree, the spec is loads of fun and is great at applying pressure with no cd on discharge
  5. Force focus (tier 1 talent in the balance tree) now reduces the cooldown of force breach (in force technique) by 100%
  6. For the rotation that's pretty much it (altough you're better off starting from stealth instead of 30m) as for when you are facing other shadows sever force is ur friend. After he removes your dots try to kite him as much as you can until resilience wears out (sprint or cloak ). after that you can use sever force to root him and reapply all the dots without him reaching you. Most importantly if he's infiltration you should know when he's about to burst you so use resilience right before that project/breach combo hits you. should be cake after that. No I haven't redone my enhancement on gear yet, mostly because I don't have the full champion set yet and my server is dead so it's hard to find good enhancement/mods But FiB is criting around 3k 3.2k with relics since im sitting at around 80% surge already.
  7. Indeed. I am never running out of force and reaching the 300k dmg is much easier than before. As for complexity, what I meant is that there are much more abilities I'm using in this spec which I find enjoyable. Another advantage over infiltration is that the dmg is constant, whereas infil burst relies too much on cds and if you stay alive after that you'll be force starved sooner rather than later. Hey everyone, so I just respeced to balance after patch just to give it a try, and I have to stay I was pleasantly surprised with the results I got in the 12ish wzs I played. here is what my spec looks like :http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#601McMcZZcMfRrMkrfz.1 Force breach w/o a cooldown is amazing : you can switch targets easily, and dot several persons for added pressure and healing. Ramp up time is a bit slow but once you have breach, FiB and sever force on the target + project buff, you will destroy that person thanks to mind crushes that are procing at a crazy rate and hard hitting double strikes. I personally believe that the spec can compete with 31/0/10 and most importantly It feels much more complex than infil and kinetic spec. What do you think ?
  9. Project delay has more negative aspects in PvP than stopping people from capping flags. Many times I was killed because of that delay. Granted my oponment died as well, but not dying can enable you to stop another capper, cap a node and delay/kill a flag carrier. All of these actions can decide a game sometimes. For example, although this occurs more rarely, the lag delay on project enabled an enemy to cap a flag in hutball today. I casted project when he had 2k ish hp right before the line. but the delay made him cap then die. which cost us the game since we were tied. Also to the people saying that the you won't be able to kill healers anymore if delay is removed, any healer that actually knows what he's doing will know that the burst is coming so it will not "surprise them" . The only time the delay is useful is when you are dpsing somebody other than the healer in a grp .
  10. If BW has still failed to comment on the issue this probably means it's a tooltip issue . Yesterday I was saying on another post how harnessed shadow wasn't procing from slow time, and I was told that it was a tooltip issue . Now from a gaming point of view the harnessed shadow "bug" is much more important since it basically changes our rotation. Yet there was no BW post. They still haven't answered on that one so I wouldn't get my hopes up (although a simple msg telling us this is in fact a tooltip issue would be nice)
  11. So I just respeced to full kinetic and tried a few warzones to see the new spells I got, and I noticed that slow time is not procing a harnessed shadow charge for me. project doesn't have that problem. Anyone else having the same issue ?
  12. First off, I never said I wasn't going to play the class or this game because of this issue, I am only trying to propose ways to make this game better. Second, I never insulted anybody .And third,if every class has this issue that means we need to find a solution for the benefit of everyone not only our class . I can look for procs but I would rather concentrate on other things especially when pvping.
  13. While I do agree with what has been said about love being the true meaning of force, there is one argument everyone seems to forget: swtor takes place way before the events of the 6 movies. Now as it was previously stated the council were completely against the concept of marriage in episode 1 and 2. So presumably, there is no way that the council that was in store 20,000 years before would accept it .
  14. Another important aspect is that there is no animation/effect to show procs. I managed to play high end pvp on wow without any addons (before they implemented built in procbar ) but at least you would know when it proced. Here there is absolutely no way to know w/o looking at the minuscule squares, so having a proc bar is a necessity.
