  1. Previously, if in the inventory and in deconstruct mode, if the mouse is hovered over an item that will appear in the Deconstruct List (left-hand side) of the deconstruct window, the mouse cursor will change to the deconstruct icon as a hint for what can and cannot be deconstructed. This seems to no longer be the case. I created a screenshot, which is attached, but unfortunately the mouse cursor disappears when a screenshot is taken, so the actual pointer icon isn't shown. In this case, the mouse was hovered over the item that is marked for deconstruction but still represented as the normal pointer icon. As is shown in the image, the item marked for deconstruction is a piece of Syntech gear that appears in the Deconstruct section of the Deconstruction window.
  2. Thanks for convincing me to unsub and take a break. May be back, maybe not.
  3. In the new post in the Upcoming Patch Schedule thread, the dev's have laid out what they consider to be the only 3 issues with 7.4.1: Presumably meaning they will not be addressing the issue of appearance gear taking over 320-level item drops. Thanks for nothing, team.
  4. What about the appearance gear and the removal of 320-level drops?
  5. Fixing that mount thing was definitely the most critical issue. But it was also the biggest self-own, since it had been working previously. The issues that have frustrated players (Reputation Advancement CQ point nerf, appearance gear drops) were choices made by the developers (albeit bad ones). This mount thing was just a good ol' fashioned screw-up. Bad choices can be revised, but screw-ups like this one indicate deeper issues related to capability.
  6. No question the belts and braces have a higher chance to drop. So the chance for the chest piece is going to be far less than just 1/7. That said, I did get a chest piece yesterday. And it was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen.
  7. What about that garage area off to the side? I know it's not the landing platform, but that one has a full ship hanger, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe that's a good alternative. Anyway, I know what you mean, and you're right. Just wanted to provide some alternatives.
  8. I use it as a balcony, not a ship platform. You can make a really nice outdoor lounge setting there.
  9. The too-little-too-late retraction post regarding this crater of an update includes this: Here's the problem with "a bit over-represented": Right now the tiny fraction of people who actually want the appearance gear are getting what they want. If they grind enough, they'll get their outfit. But if the drop rate of this gear is reduced, it will become practically impossible to get a full gear set. So that minority who are currently getting what they want will have the rug pulled out from under them, and the majority who have no interest in the appearance gear are still annoyed. Result: nobody gets what they want. Is this what developers mean by "balance issues"? Hopefully "a bit over-represented" in this case means "exists", because the only real solution is to get rid of these appearance gear drops and introduce new vendors who sell it to the people who want it.
  10. I kinda get wanting that old gear for appearance. But it should be sold at a vendor or vendor(s).
  11. Oh god I didn't even consider that. The lockboxes aren't a *huge* source of rewards, but they aren't insignificant, either.
  12. I get wanting to have some of that old gear. But it should be available at vendors. Drops are meant to be rewards. These are punishment.
  13. Oh yeah Jawa Junk, too. I forgot about that. You really got great rewards from the gear drops doing heroics and dailies. What an inexplicable self-own this was.
  14. I run dailies and heroics to get conquest commendations and tech frags. Between the mission rewards and the 320-level item drops, you can make out pretty well. Until now, that is. Instead of 320-level items drops, we get worthless appearance gear that is only good for taking up space in your cargo hold or deconstructing for nothing. Nerfs to your expected play style can weigh heavily on your motivation. It's childish and even delusional, but between this and the reputation conquest point nerf, I have this strange feeling like these updates were targeted toward me, specifically. Like "Dude, you're playing this game too much. Take some time off. Here's help."
