  1. Sa_I_nT owns Megatfx Basically you may be a decent player, but your proposal still sucks. Pwned.
  2. Easy... because the game is still in its early stages and there need to be some changes. Why should paying customers have to put up with crap in the game simply because you had to put up with the crap in early release? That is just stupid. I don't think anyone has mentioned this, but there are rookie players on both factions - therefore players with low-level gear for both factions. I think the issue is something else no one is really mentioning: total imbalance between factions on servers. BW needs to monitor this, because there is some irony behind the whole "PvP Server" concept when the ratio is probably 10:90 republic to imperial. I am not saying be overly legalistic about it, but if you're a new player and you want to play imperial on an overly imba server then BW needs to stand up and give you an error message that says, "Sorry the imperial faction on this server has exceeded 60% of the total population. Please choose another server. Other servers that you can roll to be on the imperial faction include ...."
  3. Easy. This story line was poorly written. I've played some MMOs for less than $10 a month with better story lines. I've considered returning to them - even though they are texted based. I might as well be playing City of Heroes when I watch the story line in SWTOR.
  4. ------ Did you bother with the romance options at all? Who, and why? No. I don't bother with them, and I wish I had more story options. I think most of the story line is pretty lame. That is why I spacebar through most of the story, because it is poorly written. Whenever I watch the scenes - it makes me want to leave the game and read a good book. BioWare needs to put their money where it matters - in the script not just graphics. ------ Did you avoid the romance options? Why? It is not that I am avoiding romance options. Why would I want to romance with some pre-set responses written by who knows who? I think these options were obviously put in the game, because BioWare knows that it will attract people that can't find that affection anywhere else. Sadly, people need to realize that they could find affection elsewhere if they would develop some character and get some sun. There is also the other set of individuals that like the romance options, because their entire life revolves around sexuality. Unlike those weirdo's - my life does not revolve around that. I get embarassed when I look at the SWTOR community and how they are embracing this. It makes we wonder - hmmm should I even consider playing this game? I think there are many like me - true gamers, who have been rping since the text based games, and yes we know what a true MMO is really all about: Crazy PVP Scenarios and Good Storylines Sadly I am totally unsatisfied with the weak 3 PVP scenarios and lame WarZone areas (with almost no missions by the way) for levels 1-49. And the discussion about same-sex relationships with your companions? C'mon this is a game. With all of the things that need to be improved to include a horribly poor script people are more concerned with how they can't fulfill their perverted fantasies in the game? Not a suprise. I recommend BioWare putting some real efforts somewhere else. How long has this game been developed before it came out? Nearly a decade? I hardly believe it, because I've watched cartoons that have a better plot than this. So much for trying to entertain adults - except those that think they're adults, because they can watch adult movies. There is a big difference... ------ Did you wish you could romance somebody (any NPC or companion) but were unable? No. I wish they would take the romance options out and replace it with more plots.
  5. Oh and by the way. My Light Side Jedi Knight, why does he even have an option to flirt with Kira? I haven't said anything outside what one of the order would say, because plainly - that isn't was a Jedi does. I am kind of upset that she isn't as tough as I would expect her to be - especially considering her reputation. (no more needs to be said to refrain from any spoilers) I want a tough Jedi companion, and not a wannabe Jedi that wants to romance with me. I read this thread and I remembered the other day when Kira was flirting with me - even though I wasn't flirting with her. As her Jedi master - I wanted to discipline her. I even considered having her put in jail at one point and sticking with my R2-D2, but enough said - I like the light saber moreso than just a pea shooter. I just wish my Padawan would start acting like an actual Jedi and not some valley girl. Even some of her regular speaking options are "not Jedi." C'mon - "let's retire from all of this one day." What kind of a Jedi says that? Please remove her stupid non-Jedi remarks and make her more like a Jedi - or give my Jedi Knight another companion that is another Jedi. Oh and if you can't do that then I figure you can't control your script writers. If that is the case, good job for giving Star Wars a bad name.
  6. Yes please remove the flirt option for all scenes in the game. I find it pathetic that I would even be given the option to flirt with some processor of preconfigured sexual phrases written by some fat guy in his leather recliner from Office Depot. This is one of the reasons that I have considered not playing this game anymore. I go to the companion threads to get information on how to make my companion more affectionate and all of the posts are from weirdos that want to have some sort of an intimate relationship with a computer... That is not entertainment. Entertainment is show me something nice and classy. This just goes to show the amount of money that was put into the script. As a writer myself, I think this game is kind of cheesy, and I think any true Star Wars fan can admit the story line from the game overall gives a bad rep in comparison with the Trilogy. I find it funny that here we are decades later and the quality has diminished. So in other words - dedicate more money to the script, fix your writers, (or hire new ones) and put in a feature to toggle out the lame flirt options. Or otherwise - I am leaving as well as many others I know that find these options "so not entertaining."
  7. Finally it is back up... I'm still cancelling, but I'll get my money's worth.
  8. So I am paying for BETA? Well I won't be paying again. Mark my words.
  9. Here is another tip. Test the patch on a separate server and see how it runs. Why do you need to take down all the servers to test the patch on an isolated server? You can't virtualize the software temporarily with a virtual server? At least then you would know what you're doing and be able to auto-generate the code, and it could take less than an hour.
  10. I regret paying for the first 6 months in one payment. I won't do that again, and I probably won't play 6 months from now. Seriously? There are way too many level 50's and the game hasn't been out two months yet. This game is way too easy.
  11. I got a plan! How about they patch the servers during the time expectation that players wont be on! For example, they could patch the EU servers during a workday from about 4 am to 8 am, and they could patch the EST from 8 am to 12 am on a weekday. Then others will still be able to play past midnight include those on the West Coast. Of course developers would need to work weird hours, but isn't that what they get paid the big bucks for?
