My opinion on World of Warcaft Legion VS SWTOR - Vent Thread
Latherfal replied to SVTCarnage's topic in Off-Topic
Swtor classes are so much better than what Blizzard did to Legion and what they were doing somewhat after Wotlk. If the classes are not interesting its hard to make the world interesting when you're bored trying to play in its virtual environment. -
Lucy Liu robot: Oh, Fry, I love you more than the moon, the stars, the... [monotone] Lucy Liu robot: POETIC IMAGE #36 NOT FOUND.

Would be funny if he was really the size his holo-projection shows. -
oh those sorcerer's ways

If Swtor was released 2004 and WoW 2011/12 , then Swtor would of been the perfect storm. Though the engine did cause issues.

Do any beta players still play? Have I overstayed my welcome?
Latherfal replied to SaerethDL's topic in General Discussion
I started upon release (well a day or so after I guess). I sub like I have when I started EQ and WoW. I play a month or two, then unsub for a month or two, then resub for another month or two etc. Seems to work. -
But I am owner of the belt!!! /shouts at a cloud

I don't get the belt that has the ability for summoning those 3 or 4 droids plus the cc droid. I clicky on it and they attack my companion. Hey, I have the belt now! Whats the deal.

Everybody should be lower level and weaker than me. Always. -
What class/advanced class would Darth Maul be in this game?
Latherfal replied to bmmerideth's topic in General Discussion
If not already answered two classes as he is in two pieces. -
So I have done Maelstrom often enough, and this one time, he was killing us even when we were behind the pillars/boxes. It was funny to me. Not so much to the rest of the group I guess. I thought 'you dirty dealing deceiving back stab.... oh yeah, you're suppose to be'. After several wipes the group disbanded. I decried haxers!. Still thought it was funny. I find normal tactical/flashpoints to be more interesting than their hard mode counterparts. You never sure what you're going to get and the randomness is fun. Plus it seems people stick it out longer on normal and leave after one wipe in hard mode. Usually. It seems.

I think the first time he appears he should be sent on a crew mission.

This thing all things devours: Birds, beasts, trees, flowers; Gnaws iron, bites steel; Grinds hard stones to meal; Slays king, ruins town, And beats high mountain down. Whatta goin' to do. Though I do miss my ship and companions and flying to one place or another within the original space system(s) when the game released. I was hoping for some new companion replacement options but not in such a way as we got with a multitude of companions with an overdose of affection. The only thing I see wrong with the current system (mostly) is you have to keep each alt advanced in the story line to get that one or two companions you miss. Mastery isn't very fun either.

Why are people still mad about no new raids?

"Your thoughts strong?" "Strong hungry, could really use someone to eat." If you have the cannibalism perk. Strong: "Watch out for fingers and toes, get stuck in teeth." -

New Chapter: Visions in the dark - Post your thoughts

My Sage and Scoundrel are the last people you want to be on a throne to rule an empire. -
The way to beat any boss in any computer game of any sort is the ninja roll.

Once the character 'supposedly' devoured an entire planet, my eyes glazed over and I lost interest in how ever the story will continue. The only interesting parts for me, were the opinions and reflections of some of the companions as the story developed. Kaliyo Djannis for example. She even seemed exasperated. Which is hard to do to a chaotic neutral. Once you start doing the world, universe, time continuum, whole alternate realities etc devouring/destroying bits, the story just becomes trifling. So late to the party, but I finally got around to watching Force Awaken film a week or so ago. So IV has a space station the size of a small moon, VI has one somewhat larger. Then VII has a planet size one that devours the energy of suns. So really, its like a kid saying 'how do you get off the island' and then adds sharks and pterodactyls, and what not as you describe you're attempts and then adds aliens that do everything to off chance any possibility that they have not thought of.

Isn't he more like the Wizard of Oz, behind a curtain fidgeting with levers and switches and such? In the end, I think his will have a similar epitaph Buck Murdock: Oh, cut the bleeding heart crap, will ya? We've all got our switches, lights, and knobs to deal with, Striker. I mean, down here there are literally hundreds and thousands of blinking, beeping, and flashing lights, blinking and beeping and flashing - they're *flashing* and they're *beeping*. I can't stand it anymore! They're *blinking* and *beeping* and *flashing*! Why doesn't somebody pull the plug!

The thing about KotFE, how it feels, well to me, that it doesn't really talk about the force, or lightsabers, or Sith/Jedi. Maybe Disney had something to with that. Tin foil hat and all that. That, and my ship is empty, and now I have too many companions where I have little connection to any of them, and too much affection. Way more affection. Overload.

Well I definitely liked Vanilla better concerning my Scoundrel.

Well this isn't as interesting as the post(s) from another game, a decade or so ago, that went on over 200 pages with the last 100 or so from the same three posters about 4mm difference in the mantlet of a German Panzer IIIH. Servers from MMOs that have both PVE and PVP, the PVP serves have always lost its population first, before the MMO game in general did. MMOs that were primarily PVP have never lasted long nor had a large population. Maybe there is that 'point of no return' where players who have advantage never get weaker and new players replacing the old don't see the point of maintaining a presence on that particular server for the game. For whatever raisins.
