  1. Duuuuude! Thank you! So much! Still having a hard time getting the hang of it though, gotta set things up for the alternate one, and I can't delete any Loadouts that were just attempts to get it to work, but thanks to your comment, I can now switch from Hatred Assassin to Vigilance Guardian on my Sith Inquisitor. They seriously need to make Loadouts more comprehensive.
  2. So, I was able to do Malgus as a ranged fighter on my Sniper. I observed a few things that did cause me to die a lot and caused the fight to reset even when I did not die. It's the wall of fusion Force barrier that Malgus puts up. When he pushes you, it brings you to the edge. If you touch it, you instantly die. To avoid this, I tried to be farther from him but then he resets after a while. I had to set my companion to Tank to make it work. My suggestions would be to instead of making touching the barrier an insta kill, or close to instantly kill your character, that it damages you but less. That way, melee fighters have a better chance at beating Malgus. There is this one time where I touched it, my health bar looked the same (as in I still had health) and rezzed to the med droid. Even at full health, you die before your health bar shows no more health. Insta death with health remaining. I posted a quick video that illustrates this in action with three quick examples of the insta-death: I truly believe it because of the wall and fixing that will make defeating Malgus more doable. Thanks.
  3. And Cargo/Legacy/Guild Bank Holds too. The new layout hurts my eyes, it's too bright. The old layout had the blue outline for the slots in inventory, but its opacity seemed lower and the luminosity didn't give a neon light effect to it. Personally, I'd suggest having the slots look how they did before. Thanks.
  4. lol I once sent a a crystal worth a few mil to someone who had the same name as my alt and happened to be in my friendlist somehow, maybe from way back when. They were kind enough to send it back to me, phew. I have also deleted mail with credits in it, like 10, with GTN stuff. I make sure not to misclick anymore. It happens to the best of us.
  5. Oh wow, this is helpful. It can get quite confusing. I usually figure it out quickly with my main crafters (artifice and cybertech) but for the rest, I never know where I should start. Biochem probably next, but yeah. Thanks for this post.
  6. Thanks. We were exploring that option today, the techies and I. What's funny is that I can't change it (so uninstall bitraider, which is what makes it stream version) until the game is fully downloaded. Haha so it doesn'T fix this problem but it might fix others. I did a trace route and sent it to them. It looks so far like there is interference going on between them and me. Hopefully it's something they can fix.
  7. Thanks. Mine's a wifi too. Been downloading over 24 hrs and barely at 40%. CS here I come lol
  8. All right, so I've recently had to reformat my Windows due to issues, meaning I've had to redownload SWTOR. To easily keep track of my downloads, I log into my account with my internet service provider. I've been downloading for a couple of days now (during off-peak hours, since it's unlimited) and so far the SWTOR doanload has exceeded 200 GB. Any forums I've found that talk about the size of the game mention around 30 GB with KotFE. So I am thoroughly confused. Now I am not new to SWTOR, but anyone who is and has not planned their download times for the gigs they are paying per month might find themselves surprised. Can someone please help me understand why it's such a massive download size? And before you ask, yes I have checked anything and everything else I may have downloaded BEFORE starting the SWTOR download to be sure to track its size properly. Thank you.
  9. I like your philosophy Yeah, I know I can get to lvl 50 before it ends. Will I get through Shadow of Revan and KotFE? That depends on whether it ends next week or truly runs until October 25th. Reddit says the 25th. Hopefully II'll get the attunement for lightsabers hehe
  10. It's possible I misread, yeah. I do hope it returns. I only was able to get into it this past month, because...moving house Wasn't able to give the game as much time and affection as I would have liked. It could be like the Nightlife event too, it comes and then two years later it returns. The mods should let us know though if the event is due to return at some point or not. That may help determine which achievements I go for and which ones I don't.
  11. Hey guys, not sure if this question has already been addressed or not. Feel free to link me the place if so. Here's my questions: If I create a character during the Dark vs Light event, then the event ends. I already have the lvl 50 achievement, so I level that character to lvl 50, without finishing their class story. The NEXT time the event comes back, when I DO finish their class story, will it count in the achievements? Also, crew skills, if I contonue levelling crew skills after the event, will that count when the event returns? The next time the event comes, will any of the DvL characters created this time still count as DvL characters, or does it reset every time. The Patch Notes say that last time the event was here, there were no achievements, but people who achieved certain tings on DvL characters got the achievements retroactively. Will that happen again? THANK YOU for your answers XD
  12. I remember reading that too somewhere. Maybe a Dev Log or something. Since Manaan is in the game and you can travel to it at any time, it only makes sense to make it a place you can visit and give more reasons to go there. There is alos a whole section of it that is there and leads to nowhere. I'm hoping that an Op will appear over there, or perhaps just a bunch of vendors with more decorations from Manaan, like those banners and stuff that aren't yet available, with a console to buy a Manaan stronghold.
  13. Really? What about level 65 that started at level 1 like three years ago? lol I have several alts that I'm leveling but they are not lvl 1, but not at lvl 50 yet either. So no end game at all counts? Or is it just the insta 60 ones that don't count?
  14. SoR and the prelude and all that give a lot of XP and it's true, I've noticed it too on my characters, they level up like crazy with those fps.
  15. The MK-9 components on my cybertech is one big money maker. ALSO, onmy artifice, I craft a lot of the max lvl bonded attachments, wtv theya re called for artifice. Get so confused by these things, but I craft the max lvl ones and don't RE them, I sell them like that. Man, that stuff goes like candy baby!
  16. You can do Shadow of Revan and the like as a group IF you're not the same class. Otherwise you'll have to do it twice, but if all players are of a different class, it should work. Did for me.
  17. Yeah, exactly, it's designed for newbies mainly and they will get achievements as they go along. However, they did mention in the patch notes that all achievements WILL BE awarded retroactively AFTER patch 4.7. So it might not count in the Light vs Dark event, or maybe that event goes for 2 months, who knows. But we WILL get all those achievements if that's what you're after. So, I'll get mine later. That's fine. I know many of you are bothered by it, but we're still getting it all, just in a month.
  18. Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention the option of the Solo flashpoints in the Revan storylines and Shadow of Revan stuff. You get this droid, many of us call it the God droid, it tanks, and heals and kills like a beast. Have your companion on either heal or damage and you should be fine. I had hit low life during a fp solo mode and thought I'd die and then I was full health again and my companion was on damage. The Rishi Blood thing fp is a bit trickier on solo mode, so I like to pug that one, but the rest is a breeze.
  19. I lvlved one character with only class quests and only had to do a few fps every now and then to make sure I was always above lvl and had equivalent lvl gear. It goes so fast, you are good even without gearing for 10 lvls, and companions are better now that they carry your stats. You should be fine. When you hit chapter three planets, that's when you need to make sure gear and lvl are up to par. You should be able to complete the story line quests and be around lvl 53 or 54, and then all you need is a couple of tacticals, but you can even begin the Revan stuff at 53, and you get the God droid, so you'R=re good.
  20. Hehe, with level 65 now the new max, I understand how you'd feel a bit overwhelmed with everything. It depends what your focuses were when you were playing, so I'm just going to mention how I'd do it from a crafter, fps, and storyline standpoint. I'd go through all your main crafters and begin upgrading your crafting. This is a good way to get gear, equipment and credits. While you're doing that, I'd choose one main to start with for story stuff and head to your ship to grab the Revan Prelude storylines, and Shadow of Revan, which lead up to Knights of the Fallen Empire. All fps are now tacticals (some are quite difficult in groups with only DPS, so don't feel guilty about not hitting ready if you see no healer). Tacticals are a great way to get comms which are now data crystals. Basic = Common, Elite = Glowing and Ultimate = Radiant. When you hit lvl 60, you can get modifications for 2 common data crystals each, even the armourings. You are good with lvl 60 gear until you hit lvl 65. At lvl 65, the common gear is 208. If you plan on gearing one of two characters mucho Radiant/Ultimate, you can save up credits to GTN Radiant mods for your lightsaber/weapons. The rest you earn from the usual end game stuff. HD fps (all fps are now avaialble as HD and tactical), tacticals, ops, etc. Companions now have Influence instead of Affection and can go up to 50. I got one to 50. It's expensive and takes a long time. So what I started doing was got all to lvl 10, romances to lvl 15, and chose one to be at lvl 25 and for my mains, would get one companion to lvl 50. If you plan on doing KotFE, do not get companions higher than 10 or 15 beforehand. If you don't plan on doing KotFE with a specific character, you can focus on companions getting them really high. Oh and you don'T need to gear companions up anymore, it's only for easthetics because they get your stats, and you can decide to have them heal, tank of do damage with just a click while out of combat. Let's see, does that cover everything? Oh and check out the decos on GTN. If you're into decorating, you're gonna go crazy. At lvl 65, KoTFE end game stuff, Star Fortresses bosses drop a bunch of decos. There is so much on GTN that are drops. I'd suggest looking at some sites like SWTOR Decorating, otherwise you might be paying too much for something you can get through missions and fps. I'm sure I've missed stuff and since I don't do much Ops and never do PvP, others can fill in the gaps, but this should give you a good start. Once you get back into it, you'll be on a roll again. Good gaming!
  21. Has anyone played it out that on their Trooper who romanced Aric Jorgan, they sent Kaliyo out? Im wondering how it plays out when Theron says that Aric disobeyed a direct order and instead of choosing to punish or kill him you forgive him. Haven't found any links. I've seen the ''No punishment is necessary'' option, but no video where someone chooses it, let alone when it's the romanced trooper.
  22. I also found a couple of additional songs: Under the Double Suns (Tatooine) Skip Tracer (Quesh) I've also seen the song "Moisture Vaporation" appear on YouTube as part of the SWTOR soundtrack and it's the exact SAME as "See You on the Dark Side". I just wonder if the songs are the same whether Imp side or Pub side. "For the Republic" is a Revan type theme, probably only found on pub side, but it was on Ord Mantell I think. I wonder if for example, Alderaan pub side has the same songs as Alderaan Imp side, which would make sense, given that some planets have one Cantina for both factions, i.e. Voss, and any song that would be oriented towards one faction only, could be put on the jukebox of a one faction planet cantina, i.e. Dromund Kaas, or Coruscant, etc.
  23. Yes, let us pray to the SWTOR gods that May the 4th will reveal things. And it would be a good time to do it and a good reason to have kept hush hush up until now.
  24. Me cries but methinks you're right. They need to up their game and add more strongholds, like seriously man!
  25. Dude, I am just waiting for a Manaan Stronghold! The idea I had was to also have the outside balcony be a t water level and the stronghold, like Nar SHaddaa floats in the air, always floating with the tide. So part of the balcony has water on it and part of it is dry, but it's very clear that it's at water level. I agree that an access to an underwater place accessible only by underwater gear would be brilliant, or a sub for that matter. Or even an underwater tunnel. You have rooms underwater, room above water level, and a passage that takes you deep down and you walk in a tunnel of glass. Beyond that tunnel's doors you are in water. Or something like that. I'd buy Manaan. I'd consider Kashyyk. Something dreadful tells me though that the next stronghold is going to be Zakkul.
