I’m just testing the waters here to see what everyone else thinks of Star Wars so far.
I bought the game 2 days after Christmas and levelled up to 38 before getting bored and hating most of the features available to us. A few friends then started playing and lured me back onto it so i took my character up to 50. Sadly this was the worst mistake i made as it’s killed the game for me. PVP is poorly designed, Ilum looks like it was created by someone with no gaming experience what so ever, the warzones are based around being 1 class (anything with forceleap, Huttball takes zero skill when the carrier simply leaps to the end and scores. Please for the love of god give it a 2 minute cooldown and also a line of sight function), flashpoints are repetitive/easy even when in the wrong gear.. and the list goes on. To sum it up, it feels like we are playing a broken / unfinished game....almost as if we are beta testing SWTOR for EA and Bioware. Why are we paying for a sh*t game that doesn’t work and isn’t fun?
Having given every credit i had to another player, i swallowed my pride and bravely re-subbed my world of warcraft account and decided to give that another go. I stopped playing wow as after 3 years of play, my character had everything there was to get, almost all titles, achievements and so forth. This was an amazingly bad experience. Warcraft as it is now is the worst online game imaginable, no question about it! It is truly horrible and an absolute disaster of what was once an amazing gaming experience. The game has been nerfed into the ground for the kiddies out there who find the game too challenging.
Perhaps its me getting too old for games here at the grand old age of 26 :F. Now my gripe is, what on earth do i play instead of Star Wars and Warcraft? im so used to returning from work and logging into a game with lots of fun things to work towards, so am struggling to find another game i can commit to. Does anybody have any suggestions other than perhaps waiting for Diablo 3?
One final thing, no trolling. I am genuinly cirious how other people view the game and genre at this point.
