  1. We'd all like to see these sort of things, but we wont get them. It's just going to be extremely slow release of new content, with lots of rehashing of old material before anything new is released.

     

    Edit: Look at the "new content" nim tfb, its just the same tfb with very few new mechanics, just increased damage, increased health and lower enrage time, theyre bleeding the content the have while they can.

  2. I played Heroes of Newerth a lot (another moba), could try Dota, if its f2p or smt.

    Ah yeah, I played hon before dota 2 as well. Its pretty much the same, just the camera angle is different, annoyingly different. Took me like 50 games to get used to it, feels too zoomed in.

     

    It's pretty much f2p, people who bought the pass to the game in the first stage of open beta were given invites to the second stage of open beta to gift to people every month. I've got 30 in my inventory.

    Edit: only original dota hero's as well, no hero's created by s2 games... I miss Cthuluphant, such a terrible hero but so much fun.

    Completely agree, I'd say it barely qualifies as new content. With very few new "mechanics", its just increased health, increased damage, decreased enrage timer....just recycling old stuff.

  4. 9 times out of 10 when people say that MMO content is way too easy, it turns out they have never set foot in the higher difficulty at all, but they keep saying they did on their "other account".

     

    One time someone attempted to use my own WoW account as their own in a thread.

     

    They prolly would have gotten away with it, if they had not used the character I regularly posted on as their own, but the forumites there already knew I was currently ingame in a raid, making terrible Panda puns while we waited for the dead people to catch up.

     

    We beat Blackwing Lair with only five deaths out of 14.

    My guild clears sav hm in under 2 hours without much effort, tfb hm is just trivial. EC hm at the time, and more recently EC nim are by far the most difficult operations we've done.

    It just seems these "nightmare modes" are getting easier.

  5. That is fine. I haven't been in game over the weekend anyway but I should be tonight after work and I'll try to talk to that crazy German over TS and see where that gets us, and we'll get back to you.

    I'll move you up for now, but if Tman is still not believing it after you talk to him, I'll have to get a quick parse with me observing it.

    Still missing the 72 chest (currently using 69 one) and need to switch one more 69 enhancement on top. Rest is BiS 72. Guess with the missing pieces I can get like 10-15 more dps, but overall there is not much more possible in Watchman. Looks like Snipers/Slingers are way on top. :(

     

    With the 2 proc relics I can go easily above 3k, but since this is obviously a bug I do not use it. Wonder if the Slingers/Snipers on top are using the 2 proc relics?

     

    I heard you cancelled your sub?

  7. What game are you playing -- seriously?

     

    EVERY DPS class is capable of putting out comparable numbers. In fact, the number gap has been constantly closing. And sniper is hardly OP -- or even outdoing most of the other DPS classes. Just 'easier' to play.

     

    Show me a parse of an operative DPS pulling numbers anywhere near a sniper in the same gear on the same boss.

  8. If you'll read what I posted I never said that a DPS class cannot do any content, sure every class can do all the ops. However marauders / snipers bring the highest DPS and all the utility. That's not very well balanced.
  9. Considering that the balance in the game is exceptionally good and PvE, apart from animations, hasn't been affected that much, we should hope they keep doing what they are doing instead of making up something to whine about.

     

    I mean, you didn't even know this before and NOW you're worried about it? If the guys were incompetent, there would have been more complaining about it. Seems to me you just jumped on the chance to be "concerned" about something to have an excuse to complain.

     

    The pve balance in this game is not very good at all. Considering how all rdps classes are inferior to sniper / slinger, and all mdps classes are inferior to marauder / sentinel. PVE has been affected quite a bit, powertechs for example have gone from being one of the top dps, to close to the worst, assassins and operatives still have no real use in pve other than tanks and healer.

     

    pve and pvp are two completely different things and each one will give different feedback on how a class should be balanced, the pvp team should not be the only people who have a say on class balance.

  10. PvP and Class Balance are the same team of guys. It makes sense that the designers working on one also work on the other.

    So the pvp developers are the ones who also do class balance?

    So this means that they don't have much perspective on the classes balance in pve?

    Or do the pve developers have a say in class balance as well.
