  1. I've been against the exact same slinger, same accusation "Multiclicker!!!11!!" against my Operative in a civil war. Funnily enough he said nothing when I proceeded to wipe the floor with him on my Sin in the following match.
  2. Warrior: Pierce, Vette, Akghal Usar - Khem's look a like, Risha, Tanno Vik and Scourge or Ashy, though the latter isn't technically a summonable companion. Inquisitor: Marr, Khem, Lana, Senya, HK-55 and Lokin. I'd class those two as my mains and the only ones I've bothered to run through KOTFE with, didn't want to overlap otherwise I'd have Pierce and Vette with Inquis as well. Should really bother with getting my second agent through his story, he'd definately have Shara as one, I know that much.
  3. Yes, we've both learned our lesson the hard way. If another exploit comes around, will I taunt the people who've done it knowing I partook in an exploit before? No, that would be a bit hypocritical, wouldn't it.
  4. I agree that they handled this quite well and that this is how they should have handled Ravagers. You do raise a good point, as others have said not all players are active on the forums and without an in-game warning and not blocking it off ,which I'm sure they could have done with today's emergency patch, it does seem odd.
  5. Yes, because what I do in a game transitions into what I'd do in life, absolutely. Pot, meet Kettle.
  6. Got my 72 hours and I'm fine with that. I killed the world boss and got a decoration, hence I'm getting punished, will I 'exploit' again? No. I didn't go anywhere near the raid boss, so please don't start with 204MH's, etc. One thing I'd like to ask however, for a first time offender this punishment seems out of proportion compared to punishment people have received for the Ravagers exploit - Didn't take part in that but know people who did. Why are people who got a decoration - myself - receiving 72 hour bans compared to those who got free 192 gear and a substantial amount of Matter Transubstantiator's in Ravagers and only got a 24 hour ban with none of these ill-gotten items removed? Also, why are people who abused the Ziost speeder in warzones not receiving punishment? In terms of preventing things like this in the future, please either just release all the content at once - not staggered, as you can see some of us can't withstand temptation. However if you are going to stagger content with hidden areas and bosses then make said areas an exhaustion zone or similar to the Rakghoul event and teleport players away from the area. Oh and community, please stop this witch hunt/mob mentality, unless I've done a personal grievance to you then please don't have a go at me, we're all human after all.
  7. While I can't speak for ranked yet since I'm not 60, I have been doing quite a few warzones as Corruption since 3.0 and I'd say it's a hell of a lot better than pre 3.0, using mostly Brut/Obr with the 2pc PVE set bonus. I'm not 59 yet for the instant dark heal but the healing feels much more mobile than before, with only having to stand still to cast Dark Infusion and force management is a breeze, having to only use consumption twice in a 15 minute Huttball. As for damage increasing, time to kill is up, and people usually only die if I'm not paying attention or they're getting focused. But overall I've found the changes breathe a new life into being a Corruption Sorc and I'm finding it very fun to play.
  8. Ok, first of all sort your spelling and grammar out. Evil, not evel. Secondly I find it hilarious that for "BiS" Madness people are talking about parasitism as if it's the main thing Madness focuses on and I'm stating that this is why there are so many Sorcs that fall below the bar. E.g. In an arena on my madness sorc with another one in group, I get 200k damage in one round, he survives longer than me and gets 5k damage. You want a BiS Madness set up (using 67's); http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/57e682f1-0985-4b29-9920-95b1db077808 Can swap around the EWH relic for the FR one. P.S. Also you were promoting the bolster exploit of 45 blues.
  9. It's all down to personal preference but I'd say it's definitely worth it, as long as you use 2 PvE pieces( Armor, mod enhance) not just the armorings, using the PvE armoring with PvP mods and enhancements screws up bolster. In terms of lower expertise, I run with the 2 piece PvE healing bonus on my operative (Sage is dps now) and it lowers me down to around 1.6k exp but bolsters me up to 1.9kish in a warzone, so it's not that much of a drop.
  10. I really don't mean to be an *** but bloody hell, I can't decide what's funnier, this or the sorc on my server running round in survivor gear.
  11. If you're using FiB with 3 stacks you're doing it wrong, since using FiB with 1 stack still makes it crit on most if not all of the targets in it's AoE. Also the thing about longer fights in terms of a brawl at a node is pretty bull since it also reduces the CD of Potency, lower cooldown means it can be used more often.
  12. I wouldn't have been as annoyed about the changes if they made Jarring Strike into a stun like they did with the Assassins Spike, but no, downright make it a root, which is absolutely laughable. But the best thing is, Assassins before 2.7 did it a hell of a lot better than OPs but for some reason Ops got all the hate and now they get their 2 second stun, while we're hit with a pathetic root which isn't needed what so ever... Sever Tendon... hello. Never seen anything so stupid.
  13. The 4 piece Stalker set-bonus is the more useful set bonus for sage/sorc and what I roll with on both my Sage and Sorc. With the badly optimized stats on the Stalker set it can cost a few more comms but it's definitely worth it.
  14. One of my favorite and most fun moments in SWTOR was back before 2.0 in 10-49 PvP. I was twinking at the time on my sniper, had him in full 48 purple modded gear, min/maxed with augments and playing Engineering. Me and a friend qued up, him on his sorc, me on my sniper. We got a Huttball and the match was pretty even, overall a good game, with a few funny moments, but the best of all was killing 7 of their team within 3 seconds. (Not due to my twinking) Me and said friend were waiting on one of the walkways outside of the enemy spawn, when 7 of their team, come running towards us, I use my defensives and get ready for aoe heaven, place down orbital, which back then in my gear could crit for 5k a tick and wait. They're all stood in my orbital when just before the first tick, my buddy knocks all 7 of them into the fire-pit where they melt. Safe to say we spent the next couple of minutes giggling like mad.
  15. My Operative Mäx in his PvP gear; http://i.imgur.com/TpFTK9Z.jpg PvE gear; http://i.imgur.com/FWYAEsb.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XK4Vzrr.jpg My Sorc Krytus in his PvE gear (Dyed black/black now); http://i.imgur.com/ydBmYQH.jpg Pvp gear; http://i.imgur.com/GjHm8p7.jpg http://i.imgur.com/8iDA8Dg.jpg Finally my sage Kröök; http://i.imgur.com/Ru6VrIV.jpg
  16. My almost full 78 geared Khem proves otherwise considering he can solo a gold mob. As to the OP's post, I use Scourge almost exclusively on my sentinel and have had no problems, yet I have noticed that tank companions don't get a boost to defense or armor which is sort of sucky. By "turn off" his abilities what do you mean?
  17. A few % points is actually a significant deal, Collateral Strike having a 100% chance to trigger is quite a big change since it guarantees returning TA/UH when used making it a much more reliable ability, as well as Lacerate getting a 30% surge bonus, which is in a way huge, especially with the CS changes. Op's should be able to use it 3 - 4 times reliably during their opener/"rotation", more so during a full fight, and using my current PVP gear + the surge boost, guaranteed collateral strike and presuming a crit, that's around 8-9k damage from one ability without a cooldown. The changes to Calculated Frenzy is nice as well, actually have a reason to take it now. Beware the operatives, we're coming for you.
  18. Although I can't comment on the PVE side of things due to mostly being a PVPer, I can at least suggest some changes that would help Sorcs in PVP and they might be somewhat beneficial to PVE as well. All number's are based on Full Conqueror Augmented gear. All Changes to skills are meant to be additional not replacements. Baseline - Instant Whirlwind. - 360 Degree Overload. Optional: Electric Binding's is baseline. - Fadeout Force Speed. - Shock's force cost reduced to 30. - Consumption is removed from the GCD. Optional: Electrocute's range has been increased to 30m. New Ability: Enervate: (Channeled: 3 Seconds, 0 Force, 24/30s CD) Deals 4863 internal damage to the target over the duration of the effect. (Also restores 50% of the damage as health. Or Also restores 20 force per tick, 80 force total. Lightning - PVP - Chain Lightning and Thundering Blast's base damage is increased by 10%. - Thundering Blast's activation time has been reduced to 1 second. Or Thundering Blast cannot be interrupted. - Polarity Shift: Polarity Shift now makes all Lightning Strikes used instant for the duration. Corruption - PVP - Force Suffusion has been removed. Replace it with the old 5/10% AOE Damage/Healing buff. - Conspiring Force and Shapeless Spirit have now swapped places in the respective Skill Trees. - Corrupted Barrier now makes Static Barrier heal team mates for 0.5/1% of their total health every second for as long as they last. When Static Barrier ends it grants 10% Damage reduction for 5 seconds. - Revivification: Players who move out of the targeted area are granted Death's Favor healing for 3169 (half the healing of my revivification) over 6 seconds. - Polarity Shift: Polarity Shift now reduces the activation time of Dark Infusion to 1.5 seconds. - Force Surge: At 3 stacks the next Innervate cannot be interrupted, each tick uses 1 stack. I know this wasn't asked for and while the Devour change is nice, more needs to be done so here are my Madness changes. Madness - PVP - Death Field's base damage has been increased by 5%. - Creeping Terror's base damage has been increased by 10% - Creeping Terror: Paralyzes the target in fear, immobilizing it for 3 seconds and dealing 4906 internal damage over 18 seconds. (Damage calculated with 10% increase.) - Parasitism: Increases the duration of affliction by 1.5/3 seconds. - Lingering Nightmares: Reduces the cooldown of Crushing Darkness by 1.5/3 seconds. - Shapeless Spirit and Conspiring Force have now swapped places in the respective skill trees. So those are my changes, hope you like them and thanks for reading.
  19. So far I've finished the stories for 4 characters, Warrior, Inquisitor x 2 and Trooper) currently working on Agent, Consular and Smuggler. Out of the 3 Stories I've played through I have to say Inquisitor is my favorite by far, though I'm a bit biased with that because Khem Val is my favorite companion and I find his quest line very compelling and decently thought out. I've read a few of these "Best Story" threads and find that a lot of people would disagree with my opinion that the inquisitor story is one of the best and often describe it as cliche, etc, etc. In a way I agree and disagree with them, yes rising to power from being a slave is a bit typical but looking into things further on as the story goes, you see how the character can actually suffer from acquiring too much power. (Possible Major Spoilers ahead!) The way they implemented it, although we don't actually get affected by it gameplay wise makes me think that yes, the character may gain power, but at quite a large price. Warrior's coming in at a close second though, as the plot twists and companions in that story were really great, and I'm thinking about playing it through again. I don't see why the Consular story gets so much hate, I'm only up to act two but so far I'm enjoying it, don't know if it could be because I'm playing as a light side Sith Pureblood and the species sort of sticks out, but I like it and think that it actually fits quite well. Just my two cents.
  20. For that level your stats seem alright, just some advice based on my experience through levelling, if you're primarily doing warzones in lowbie from around level 25+ I find it easier to go full madness in dark charge, just skipping the talents associated with lightning charge, I even do well with this in 50 pvp with a decent healer as your dots heal you with parasitism etc, death field is a nice damage boost as well. Guard swap while in madness (with dark charge) or darkness to the people taking the most damage, in general that's a rule for any tank, if your healer isn't taking any damage and a dps is, guard the dps. Throw taunts out constantly in every spec, even if you're dps, taunts still help the team at no hinderence to you. For the stats you should be focusing on, shield and absorb are not as effective in PvP as they are in PvE so focus on defense till you hit the diminishing return (about 28-30% I think), if you're serious about being an Assassin tank through to 50 PvP as well then use my profile as a guide http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/14a7b9ab-3f3c-41ea-afbd-4bddabccea0d unfortunately it's not completely BiS for PvP but I'm getting there. If you do use that as a guide and are wondering why I have points in deception over madness, it's because of the reduced cooldown of force speed (Life saver in huttball) and why I'm using Force-Master gear, I find the set bonus better suited to my needs, as I use to have points in parasitism (before 1.4) it helped with minor self heals and I prefer the color scheme better . Hope this has helped. P.s. Askmrrobot lie's my defense is at 28% not 24.
  21. Just wondering who actually are you on The Red Eclipse? All I see you do is complain about assassins and want to find and destroy you in a warzone.
  22. No offence to you, the video's are some what good, I just find some parts hypocritical with the NC video you posted. You say that Darkness is a good support build, which yes it, however you mention things about supporting your team, yet throughout the video I didn't see you use a taunt once or guard your healer, another thing which I think could be improved on is using your cool-downs correctly, you used deflection twice against classes who's damage primarily comes from Force/Tech attacks which it basically does nothing against. One last thing, which really annoys me, is that you allowed the node you were guarding to get capped while attacking a vanguard, the cap could have easily been stopped with a wither.
  23. Hello, this is my first MMO aswell and I've been playing since launch, at first I had no idea what I was doing but then I slowly learned the terms and what my abilities actually do. I don't know too much about flashpoints since pvp is more my thing, for throwing the huttball you'll want to open your powers tab, go to general and move the 'throw huttball' ability onto your quickbar and set a keybind to it (if you're not a clicker) I usually use 'H'. You can set keybinds in the preferences menu, if you didn't know. But don't worry about things in pvp as you play and get more experience you'll get better, when I first started I didn't even know what an interrupt was. Sometimes joining a guild can help, if it has nice members who understand that you are new and give you a few pointers or even group up with you to help explain things/ run you through a few pvp matches to help you get the feel of it better. Hope this was somewhat helpful, Tazz.
  24. To each his own I guess, but the only time I use shock without the energize proc is when I need harness darkness stacks fast, shock is weak without energize, with energize and recklessness my shock doubles in damage.
  25. When you get to level 21, in the darkness tree you'll get dark ward, which you want to be using before every fight, also what Cotlu said is a load of crap, at level 22 you can put points into Energize, which requires the use of Thrash for an energized shock, so you do use Thrash at higher levels, this is the point you want to be working shock into your rotation as Energize guarantees the next shock used is a critical hit.
