  1. This thread makes me happy because of all the great info and photos. This thread makes me sad because it confirms that all republic consular gear is fugly.
  2. If bioware really cared, the bugs would be fixed by waving a magic wand that also shoots skittles, mountain dew and half naked women for all their lvl 50 subscribers. And then someone would still complain that only the lvl 50s got benefits. And someone else would complain that the half naked women gave them the herp. And were also fat.
  3. Holy jesus. This game has not been out very long. There are going to be bugs. Anyone remember the early days of WoW? I do. And yeah, I'm annoyed that on my lovely half day off I came home, turned on my computer and Lo, there was server fail...but life happens. Read a book.
  4. There's a trade off for all of the abilities in every warzone. Sure, as a Heal-specced Sage, I try to run ahead and get into a strategic position to pull people. And sometimes it works beautifully and we score. And other times, someone foolishly decides to pass to me rather than letting me pull/bubble/heal them to victory and I die horribly because for all my usefulness in pulling, I am garbage as a ballcarrier and, on defense, am generally limited to throwing rocks pitifully while the enemy scores. The benefit of the pulls doesn't come without a price. A tank-specced guardian will 9 times out 10 fail to take out the ball carrier on defense, but will steamroll his way (slowly) into the endzone, especially is he's guarded, bubbled and his team is clearing the path. And pure DPS? Kill the ball carrier. It's really like rugby in a lot of ways. Every position has a unique roll to play. Play someone else's position and you will suck. Learn your own roll and put winning ahead of personal glory and you'll win.
  5. you're doing it wrong. I consistently get MVP votes as a heal specced sage, and some of the deadliest players on our server are shadows. First, what level are you? From those heal outputs, I would guess you are fairly low, so don't judge unitl you've maxed out your abilities? Second, are you pure heal or balance? That will alter how I answer the rest of this post.
  6. yes, but I think that then it becomes self policing. if you have, for example 50 people on ignore, then perhaps you are being overly sensitive and will learn to toughen up, or plan on waiting. If it's a case of a handful of individuals who are truly disruptive to your game experience (e.g. someone repeatedly spamming profanities at you/acting like an *** in WZs) then the impact will be minimal. It's a fine line to walk. We sign up to play a multi-player game and sometimes you have to deal with others...but there is a limit as to how much I'm willing to deal. Especially, as mentioned, on a PvE server. Also, again, lol at griefers bragging about Pwnage in a non PvP server.
  7. Dear Bioware, First, I find your game overall very well done and am glad I made the switch from WoW. However, there are a few players who frankly with their constant *******ery make the game unenjoyable. I thought by rolling a PvE server I would be spared most of the LOL U SUCK UNINSTALL RAWR RAGE RAGE RAGE garbage, but not so much. I have put these players on ignore (and in fairness it's a very small group, less than 5, and they are generally the laughing stock of the server) however, they still appear in my PvP matches and are frankly not fun to play with. While I generally detest rage-quitters, it's to the point where if I see them anywhere in the WZ, even on my own team, I want to leave because they are just not fun to play with. I would rather lose with a team of classy adults, than win with these asshaberdashers. (Also, Lol at a guild that brags about pwning PvP on a PvE server) Is there a way to make it that if you have a player on ignore you will not queue with them at all? They will, in essence, be dead to you? The fact you will not be queued WITH them either will be an internal police mechanism on people trying to avoid playing harder players. I don't mind getting beaten by class...but I would just as soon certain individuals not be part of my gaming experience and there's only so many times you can report spam. Maybe this is too much to ask. Also, in before QQ.

    Rage quitters

So are you seriously equating not wanting to spend eternity with a person with whom you are incompatible to bailing on a 10 minute game because QQ you weren't going to win? uh... :/

    Rage quitters

recently a member of a guild that shall remain nameless joined, ragequit after the other team scored their first goal with their standard rallying cry of "/uninstall you guys all suck" He was replaced with a player who wasn't an ******e and we ended up winning 6 1. It was extremely satisfying.
  10. no...humans get to do that annoying rally thing. It's a totally functional difference and frequently a game-changer. Without the ability to force people to throw their hands in the air like they just don't care, the game as we know it would cease to exist.
  11. I hear you. It is very frustrating to PvP pug as a healer. I've had that problem occasionally too where everyone wants the benefit of the healing but nobody wants to think about how a live healer is better than a dead one. In my case, I have a built in Tank who always runs with me (well...almost always). I suggest you find a tank you like to run with (a guild member perhaps) and queue up together that way you can play as a team. Tanks and Healers are the unsung heroes of PvP. You don't get all the fun flashy, but you will see them frequently taking the MVP spots because of what they contribute to the team. When it's not being appreciated it's thankless horrible work, but once people start appreciating you it's very rewarding. Also, I agree with the previous poster that you should wait until that awesome AOE heal is available before making up your mind to respec.
  12. this. At the end of the day, it's the scoreboard that matters. Know your class...know what your class contributes...and focus on the objectives. I'm squishy, so unless it's a place where I can pop my sprint and run it in, ball carrying is not for me.

    Rage quitters

Yeah, it's absolutely epidemic on [the Corsair]. Some guilds more than others. Needs to be fixed. In fact, I'd not only add a penalty but an edit to the display name to brand them a ragequitter for all to see.
  14. I will be honest, I Tl;Dr'd after about half. But the half I read are good points.
