  1. Lol. This reminds me of the whole high-rez graphics debacle where: "High" = Medium "Medium" = Medium "Low" = Low
  2. Bioware has some nerve posting hi-res advertising materials when the game itself is stuck in all its low-res glory. Sorry BW, not falling for it this time around.
  3. I've cancelled my subscription and will not renew until this whole high-res fiasco is fixed. It might be too late by then though. D3 is coming out, and I don't see Bioware getting this fixed before then.
  4. You've obviously never played WoW on ultra settings. (Disclaimer: I want this game to succeed and have no intention of "going back to WoW". I am a firm believer in games as a valid story-telling medium and always look for that cinematic feel in my games, which is what makes me am absolutely in love with the Bioware's lore-centric games.) All I'm saying really, is if all these modern games circa 2009-2011 give us the option to turn the eye candy up as far as it can go (including an MMO like WoW), why doesn't ToR?
  5. For your sake, I hope you aren't getting a new video card exclusively for TOR. But if you were gonna go ahead and upgrade anyway, I say go for the GTX 580. The price-for-performance ratio of a single high-powered GPU unit is always better than that of 2 lower-end cards in SLI/Crossfire.
  6. I'm running this game on 2 HD 6870s in SLI, an Intel i5-2500k, and 16 gigs of RAM clocked at 1600Mhz. While I won't say the game looks like ****, it doesn't look as good or as polished as Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Starcraft 2, or Skyrim does on my rig. And it will never look as good unless Bioware allows us to use AA and high-res textures like all these modern games do.
  7. ^ This. I know exactly how you feel. I like the game and I want it to succeed, but I can't really accept the fact that I'm not getting as much eye candy as my system can squeeze out of game the way it does when I play WoW SC2 and Skyrim with everything up on Ultra.

  9. Patch notes state that in-game graphics should be consistent with settings, but I still see no difference between medium/high graphics settings. Am I missing anything?
