With respect, the strike team that attacks the Foundry is not "four Revans". Yes, we are supposed to be the heroes of TOR. However, it is demonstrated adequately in the novel that Revan is second in power only to the Emperor himself. It is very possible he might have prevailed against Vitiate if Scourge had not betrayed him. Also, Revan is not only epic because of his humanity. Reborn and with all his memories intact, he is the epitome of a grey Jedi and uses both light and dark sides in the pursuit of a better galazy. He turned a Dark Council member to ash with barely an effort. I agree that Revan's story must end. This must indeed be his final war, borrowing the words of the Exile. However, make him undeniably victorious. The man voluntarily left behind his wife to carry out his mission. He never saw his own son alive and in person. Make his sacrifice mean something in the story. We all deserve that closure.

Unfortunately, The Foundry is most definitely cannon.

I agree with many of you, I bought TOR solely to rescue Revan. I worship the man, and he is my favorite character of any series ever. As I played the game and became interested in not just Revan but the role of my own character, I realized that everything, and I mean everything, in TOR is part of Revan's story. He is the driving factor. Without first Revan, there would be no story of the Sith Empire, the Old Republic, Tython, all of it is the resolution of what he began 300 years before. So when that flash of light appeared onn the Foundry, I knew he wasn't gone because, simply, the story isn't over yet, and thus Revan's story isn't over yet. He will return. He's come back from the dead before; it's this thing he does.

Excellent story. The ending was particularly good. I enjoyed the reference to the end of Palpatine's spirit. This is the kind of death for Revan that I'm looking for. He is undeniably victorious, but the story is irrevocably over. Kudos.
