  1. In between all the usual QQ, and fanboys pleasuring themselves with the sound of their own voices, very little concise reasoned discussion has gone on about why each player is leaving. So as a final gift before my account runs out and I go back to games that are better (Dota and tribes FTW), I leave this thread. Rather simply it's a way for prospective customers to see what's wrong with the game and make a better buying decision, and for the devlopers to hopefully see the mistakes they have made and fix them. If you are not resubbing after your free month, fill in the following form. Main class: Scoundrel Level: 50 Things I enjoyed a lot: Leveling, the ease of it, and the entire pace. Single player set pieces were epic as hell. Enjoyed the ease of killing stuff (None of the '500 quest items + regen items filling up your bag' rubbish) Voice acting. Even the none english stuff was awesome (The guy who did the wookie had WAAAAAY too much fun) Ideas I liked: Crafting skills being done by companions. Overall art feel of the game. PVP classes felt generally balanced, although this was more of a first glance opinion. Datacron locations. Things that annoyed me, but I could tolerate: Lack of meaningful ranked PVP. Lack of LFG system. Ilum pre 1.1 Inability to move ANYTHING on your UI. unoptimised engine. Having to spacebar through dailyquests for the millionth time. Deal breakers: Laggy PVP combat. Skills taking ages to cancel out of animations No attempt at server balance in Ilum (Seriously this isn't hard, just start kicking people out of the zone if the ratio goes above 1.1:1) A lot of the PVE content late game seems uninspired DPS races. Matching premades against pubs. Allowing comsumables in WZ, breaking the balance you had previously. Resolve broken as hell (Stuns last too long, take too long to fill the bar up, and snares and slows ignore it) If you would consider resubbing, what would the devlopers have to do to entice you back? I'll be keeping a eye on the game. The main issue that made the game unfun was the unpolished PVP combat, often feeling like I was randomly hitting buttons trying to get something, anything, to stick to the target. Although I didn't expect arenas/rated WZ on release, I would have expected premades and the such to be separated, and various other balancing measures to be put in place that made PVP feel less like a tacked on extra. Fix these issues, and add some kind of esport support, and I'd probably come back.
  2. There's a big difference between PVE and PVP. PVE you're fighting a computer. It doesn't care if you beat it, gear is more of a 'this is the order you're supposed to play the game, ok?' kind of thing. PVP you're playing against other players if you win, someone else has to lose. Now most people are fine with losing. However people like to feel in control. People prefer to be told that they lost due to skill, not due to the other guy having spent more time in the game. So normalized gear in PVP would be perfect. Of course, making high level of gear look 100X more kick ***, and add other benifits (If TF2 has shown us anything, people will do anything for vanity times/titles). Possibly add a extra sub for this, and use that sub money to pay for tournies.
  3. What exactly am I not understanding? You stack a whole bunch of + attack stims at once, pop any + DMG, then oneshot everyone regardless of gear. And having 1 stim not stack with the current PVP buff and tuning down medkits (Which was REALLY needed as well, for both PVE and PVP) (+15% expertise?) OMG, FALSE ALARM< AOE ONLY CRITS FOR 6500! EVERYTHING IS OK!
  4. Because 7K AOE crits SHOULDN'T HAPPEN IN PVP. EVER. Even if stims were free, available to everyone, and gave you a IRL bj whenever you took one, the current DMg output a fully stacked anyclass can do is waaaaaaaay outside the scope of a game where your average person has 11-20K hp. Most classes can literally one shot people with the right stim combination. Others can one shot people with AOE DMG. Basically the only way you could fix stim usage in PVP is if they also came with negatives, so it was more of a min/max thing rather then 'LOL I PWN UUUUUUU'. People who agree with stims in PVP are nothing more then cheaters who want free easy wins. Although I'd agree other skills need buffing, PVP is NOT the place to do it, and should be the only place where all crafting skills are useless. (Current PVE bio usage is 100% fine)
  5. Have you seen the youtube videos of fully buffed <Insert X class here> Even tank/helaer specs are hitting 7K AOE DMg crits (Heck seen 9K single target crits)
  6. Ok, me and my guild of 10000000000000000000000000000 people will unsub if it isn't changed? Who wins? Stims and such should be PVE ONLY. PVP should be about skill, not about how much money you've given to credit farmers so you can buy all the mats/items you need to instawin.

    My MVP vote goes something like this: 1: Did we win? If so go to step 2, if not go to step 5 2: Was there someone who healed me/protected me? If so go to step 3, if not go to step 5 3: Did someone do the usual fanboy 'umad' when I complain about bad teams/something else? If so go to step 5, if not go to step 4 4: Someone gets a MVP vote. 5: No one gets a MVP vote because your all noob *****

So basically you want melee to have a piss easy time to closed the gap, make it impossible to increase the gap, make your opponent unable to cast anything while in close range, make them **** with debufs, and presumably still retain DMg output? My friend that isn't called melee, that's called OP as ****.
  11. As a person who plays all classes, I can tell you that all classes are OP. Look at this random screenshot of me doing 900000000000K crits with all classes. Totally nerf everything. But don't nerf its mirror, its mirror is fine.
  12. Simple solution: Add rated WZ Rated WZ areas debuff everyone on entry, and items with abilities can't be used (Also looking at you freeze grenade.) Fixed. After we have that (Rated WZ where we can get clear data without buffs, gear and skill coming into play) we can then start class balance.
  13. It all depends on 3 factors. New updates. Bug fixes. Blizz's next expansion. I'd be guessing anywhere from 300K - 5M, depending on how much blizz's new expansion fails, and how many patches are added. 300K is the minimum however, if they stopped patching today and just kept things going exactly as they are now. The SW IP is powerful, very very powerful. Having said that, personally judging on the current numbers + BW's current attitude to fixing errors, I'd guess 2M subs. The thing that people are forgetting is a MMO isn't judged on the bugs and mistakes at release, but how long it takes to fix said bugs. For all the other MMO's that failed, does anyone remember how long it took to get new additional content added? A patch with 4 new raid bosses PVP overhauls and plenty of bug fixing between then and release a mere 22 days after release is something one really done by one MMO before: WoW.
