  1. What is the point of open world pvp anyway? Killing players doesn't net you comms or valour, why bother with it? You can just go to a near empty instance of Ilum and farm the pvp quests with next to no players to fight.
  2. It isn't that dps commandos are no good at pvp, its that gunnery commandos are no good due to low mobility and overreliance on grav round. Assault however is very good in pvp because it has nice mobility, and doesnt rely solely on dots, it has some very nice burst too, with assault plastique and high impact bolt. What really helps is hitting someone with high impact bolt at roughly the same time as assault plastique detonates, its really nice burst that healers wont be prepared for, thus allowing you to kill someone before their healer can do anything, or the target even knows whats going on. Heres an opening rotation I like to use that almost always results in a kill from full health: IR -> HiB -> AP -> FA -> (if procd) HiB
  3. I agree, I have a bunch of characters on other servers around level 30 that I made back when my mains server was empty. I really like playing them, and I'd love to be able to transfer them over to my mains server to enjoy legacy benefits. However, I was forced to create these characters on other servers because of the lack of population in my mains server, so I don't want to have to pay to transfer them. This factor was no fault of my own, so I shouldn't have to pay because of it. Here is what I would suggest to Bioware: allow paid transfers to and from certain servers as they see fit, but allow the transfers to be free when transferring characters to a server where you have at least a level 15 legacy(the level needed is up for negotiation). This would work rather well, because the main problem with free server transfers is that it can cause server population in-balance, but transferring alts that aren't played on as much to the server that you play on more frequently shouldn't affect server population significantly. Furthermore, it would allow your alts to enjoy the legacy benefits that you have earned on your main server. I would like to hear thoughts on this idea, and any possible ways it could be improved.
  4. For me, as a gunnery spec commando who likes to pvp a lot, I love the extra crit chance to my grav round from the pve 2 set bonus. Thats why I put bm mods into 2 pieces of my columi gear and pvp with those for the extra crit. What I wish I could do is put the war hero mods on them, and keep the pve set bonus, rather than be forced to swap it out once the war hero mods go on. I could just swap out all the mods but the armoring, but it saddens me that I wont be able to have a 100% complete war hero set w/o losing that precious grav round crit chance.
  5. Thats exactly what I'd like to know, is it 4% of 15% that it takes off the cost, or is it down 4% from 15% to 11% of max health. Id put the points in if it is the latter.
  6. Id love Ilum, if anyone actually went there. My server is lucky to see 4v4 due to our microscopic population They just need to get server transfers up so we can all move to a high pop server.
  7. It sounds bad, but hell id take it if it meant getting out of whitebeam run, just too few people there for me to enjoy it
  8. PLEASE make server transfers happen soon! Im tired of having to wait hours to get into a warzone and either killing 1 person in ilum so much that they leave, or get ganked by 4 people with noone else around to help me! Or get cross server pvp up, whichever
