  1. actually it was fixed in between but 3.0 broke it again....
  2. you're an impatient one ey? no reply in half an hour and concluding no one cares... I'm sure there's someone else out there that does, personally not so much since I think the crystals with a black outline are a bit too much of a stretch. At least a black core can somehow be explained, but black outlines... not so much...on top of that, as you said, it looks a bit meh...
  3. Not just the launcher files, you need to copy the whole game folder. Otherwise it will start the full download again. Also see this thread about disabling bitraider if you didn't have a full install on another computer already http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=684872 If you want to be completely safe, first rename the folder on your new PC and then copy over the folder from your laptop.
  4. Yep, that's the method I was thinking off You might also want to look at this page http://www.ign.com/wikis/star-wars-the-old-republic/SWTOR.INI_Tweaks There's a setting mentioned in there that deals with Texture Filtering LOD bias. You probably need something like nVidia Inspector to change it. Does wonders for detail. The other settings might also be of use... BTW, if you suddenly get a halo like fuzzy bloom around all kinds of objects in game after playing with these settings, disable Ambient Occlusion...
  5. Well, actually Not in this case. I admit I have her dressed up in even more revealing outfits most time, but the Polar Exploration Jacket was great because it allows for a miniskirt appearance... and Ok, BT 4 is on the bigger side so it's really no wonder the jacket is bursting at the seam
  6. It's a friggin shame. I really think there's not one set in game that doesn't have issues with clipping or bad rigging on some body type or another. I have the Polar Exploration set on a female agent with body type 4, and whenever she sits on a speeder where you lean forward, the jacket splits at the lower back and her butt shows through. And even though it's a nice butt to look at, it shouldn't be revealed like this.... and if it isn't clipping or rigging issues, it's something else like hidden belt ornaments because robe type gets changed.
  7. What's even more confusing is that the text reads "Defeat all possible members of the Republic boarding party"
  8. I was checking up on my achievements and noticed I still have Mandalorian Raiders SM incomplete. According to the achievement I still have to kill Anden, Kyrenic, Rotham and Vincine. The problem (BUG) is that when you enter the Cargo deck, those 4 (1 big droid and 3 humanoid npc's) are marked as friendlies and only get killed by the impact of the boarding pod bringing in the other 4 (Ezeraline, Keenor, Magnus and Taklan) so this achievement can never be completed in normal mode.
  9. Does it do that repeatedly while staying in the exact same spot, or only when you travel? To be sure it's not the game you would need to see the same thing happening in another game running on both systems. If it then happens too you know for sure it's a setting on your new card. Since you said you bought a new computer, did you also install the game again? or did you copy if from your laptop to the new hd? If you installed it again did you use the same installer? If not then you may have a streaming client on the new PC and the original fulll client on your laptop. Have you copied the ini files from your drive:\users\<you>\appdata\local\swtor folder too? If you installed again with a new installer, you might want to try copying the game folder from your old computer (and also the ini files mentioned earlier) to the same location(s) on your new computer. That at least ensures you've got an identical game setup on both. Last suggestion, did you by any chance fiddle with the videocards own profile for the game settings? If you did, reset it to the defaults it came with, then switch everything to application controled and go from there. Sometimes overriding a setting through the videocard's driver doesn't have the desired effect.
  10. I'm hesitant to go in and change it myself, but here's some errors I spotted with regard to Kaliyo Tab "Crew Skill - Best Class-Com" Under Armormech in Efficiiency category, there's listed Kaliyo as having +10 efficiency. This is incorrect, she should be listed under Armstech. Same for the tab "Crew Skill Crit./Effi. Table" This is where I stopped so I assume every other tab she's listed with a crafting skill, she's likely also (mis)placed under the wrong crafting skill btw, her name is also spelled incorrectly. It's not " Kaliyp D'Jannis" but "Kaliyo Djannis" without apostrophe (at least according to the game codex)
  11. Dunno if it is intended, unavoidable. costs saving or bug. Just reporting it in case it's not intended.
  12. Yet, there are also people who do not suffer from this, I'm one of the lucky ones as I've still to experience what others are experiencing. Compared to pre 3.0 I can't say that I notice that big a difference. No more frame skipping than usual in too crowded places, no ability delays. So it's not as clear cut and generic as it may seem. Other things that may be a contributing factor or explain some of the differences in experience Group play (I rarely do groups so that might be one reason I'm not suffering more than before) Streaming client. (I've got the one without Bit Raider) Other than those two things I can't think of what else might be the reason that at least for me (and according to General Chat I'm not alone) there is not more lag than normally experienced. Even the presumed influx of players didn't have that much effect for me. Yes, mail started doing funny again the first dew days, but that was all
  13. Yeah, twas a naive attempt to create a sensible one just listing the ones (ed.: the one_) that do and the ones that don't. What was I thinking.... my apologies for the lapse of sanity.
  14. Thought there was a thread listing the ones that worked and which one didn't. Guess I was wrong. Not thinking it will have any effect, just for reference sake. These are all the chest pieces I know of that come with a jet pack. Most came from mission rewards or world drops, some from cartel market and one is a legacy set from a reputation vendor.. NOTE: After a tip from Reno_Tarshil, who pointed me to this thread I found the following post: CAVEAT: This 'fix' is strictly a viewer-only fix regardless of the state of the setting for the wearer. So if the Character Detail setting of the viewer is set to a non-working state (Low in most all cases), the viewer will still see hot-heel exhausts even if you see them showing correctly. Of course this also works the other way around. For me I noticed that for some it works but not for all, and some have an incorrect placed animation. Because of this I have changed the below list to indicate with which setting it works. However, I could only verify this for the chestpieces I have myself. Request! If you have a chestpiece with jetpack which is not listed or is working different for you, let me know with which detail setting so I can update or add to this list. 15. Collections plus GTN for dyes still the best combo for that....
  16. Okay, so I know some jet packs just don't work and others do... I'm annoyed by it that they don't all work as actual jet pack... at least with regards to exhaust flames. But I get pissed when they start messing up existing gear that DID work or act properly... as if we don't have non-functional jet packs enough already, or belt ornaments getting hidden because robe types get changed... /rant Mandalorian Clansman's set. Jet pack has always worked for 50% using rocket boost and during healing it worked 100% correct... apart from some minor alignment issues at least. Now? Completely broken, doesn't do **** anymore... just non-functional decoration. Seriously, Bioware? Can't you at least try and keep the things that aren't broken, working as intended? Stop fiddling with re-using model parts if you can't disconnect the actions/behavior of the new parts from the original model. EDIT: Wasn't there a thread at one time listing all the gear with jet packs and mentioning which ones were kaput?
  17. ^^ This. It's the same with the other crew missions, whether it be if it's a rich or bountiful, whether it be underworld metals or luxury cloth, whether it be scavenged metals or any type Flux, the mission type you need/want is never there it feels like.
  18. true, there's no need for a special keystroke or menu activation order or that, but, it still counts as an egg. It's put in as ' joke', it's an obvious reference, and it's entertaining. And about it not being hidden, well sometimes hiding in plain sight is the best way to hide things.
  19. Thanks, completely missed that one.... Although I then don't understand why they then left the "Republic Squadron Commander Pilot Suit" boxes BoL. Great... as if storage wasn't already a big problem....
  20. Seems someone doesn't quite agree with you there Or they forgot to tell him that
  21. Considering the chip needs to be bought from a decoration vendor it almost couldn't have been something else... I only hope that it doesn't light up blue all the time like those anti-personnel turrets :\
