  1. No there are not, in ranked they are the second wors class of all. For regulars mercs and commandos are doing fine nowadays, you just need to concentrate on the objectives and you shouldn't too much care if you die or not. BTW, commandos are definetly not the right class to defend a node, but if you have to do it, your only job is it, to first shout for help and than to interrupt one capture. If you are guarding around 25 meters away from the node this is always possible (against one stealther).
  2. Yes, this is for arenas. I'm not complaining about the status of commandos in regular 8 vs 8 warzones (and as far as I understood the OP is talking about arenas as well), in fact we were never stronger.
  3. If you look at the statistics, gunslinger are doing even wors than commandos.
  4. They put in plenty of new content in the game, like GSF, Queshball, Housing, Events, and so on. They rebalance the classes and I'm sure they are already heavily coding for 3.0 announced for end of the year. That you don't like it, doesn't mean it isn't existing.
  5. I wonder that nobody is discussing this topic yet. The conquest commander is a target located in a PVP area, shouldn't this give us plenty of reasons for open world PVP?
  6. I stopped playing arenas as well, for the same reasons. The commando/mercenary is just not viable for solo arenas. At the moment, we are target number one in every game and either we are dying in seconds stunned or we are escaping with 75% of our live gone. With a healer and/or a tank it might be different, I agree. The problem would not be one, if more people would help us to survive the first minute of a game, but hey it is solo ranked, nobody cares. The regular 8 vs 8 warzones in comparison are working very well nowadays, but as long as survivability of our toons is so limited, I won't play 4 vs 4 anymore, and if you are hones, who of you don't think "OMG, we are loosing" if you see a commando or a mercenary in your team?

  8. I don't know why they removed 8vs8 at all. With solo as an option for ranked, why not offer 8vs8 with random pugs? And to complete it, why not put 4 groups with 4 players together and let them play 8vs8, they could even enlarge prep time for these guys allowing them to agree on a TS server and a tactic.
  9. I find it ironic how these defenders of Guardians/Juggs just ignore the fact, they are, at the moment, the FOTM class of the game. But at the end there will be another FOTM comming and like with the sentinels in the past and guardians today, players of this class will ignore the fact that they are OP and all the others will QQ. To be honest, I don't care a lot, somebody has to be the strongest and somebody needs to be the weakest. What I really hate, is the inflation of FOTM classes in Warzones, like sentinels in the past and now guardians. No warzone opens with at least two of them, often 3 and more. This is annoying. The problem isn't that one class is FOTM for a while, the problem is, that many people were overflowing the game with reroled toons. This happens befor and it will happen again.
  10. I totally agree, bolster works fine. But they should change how it is handling the endgame PVE gear. The penalty for using it is much too high, it makes no sense, that you can compete in PVP with blue level 40 gear, but not with the BIS-PVE gear.
  11. No it is not a bad suggestion, of cause it should only be balanced for PVP in other words, the 2018 experties should bridge the gap between 162 and whatever the max pvp is nowadays (186?). But of cause only against other players, not if you fight NPCs.
  12. They are not necessary elite, but they think they are. Maybe if a penalty is contra productive a buff for not leaving might be a better solution? Something like, for every game not quitting, the system is adding one point of expertise, the counter will set to zero for every leave. Of cause this needs a cap around 240-250.
  13. I do - more or less - PVP only and I am fully augmented brutalizer equipped, but I think for open world PVP, best in class PVE gear and best in class PVP gear should be 100% balanced. For OWPVP expertise should just compensate the gap between the gear levels, not more, there is no reason it should be OP.
  14. When I was finalizing my weekly Sunday afternoon, there was at least one leaver per game, sometimes 2 or 3 where quitting and once even 5 guys did it all together and the game was terminated. I totally agree nowadays, we need a penalty for them! It is getting painfull. The self declared elite was already killing ranked PVP (by mobbing players out of the game) and now they are doing their best to kill regular PVP as well. PVP needs population, without noobs and beginners refilling the pool of players (and getting better and better over time) PVP will die !
  15. Lol, nobody is playing ranked anymore and some people still like to increase the requirements.
  16. It is still a 'melee preferred' game, but at least playing range classes is not as useless anymore as it was for the first two years.
  17. This attitude was exactly what killed ranked on our server. Instead of waiting till the ELO system separated good players from bad players, the so called PVP-Elites mobbed everybody out of the queue, till nobody listed anymore. I'm not against elite, but you only can be an over-performer if somebody else underperforms.
  18. BH? Do you mean mercenaries or power techs? Anyway, damage wise, maybe? But, survivability is the problem of a mercenary/commando, not the damage.
  19. During the live-stream, the toon was sitting on chairs several times. They where saying it isn't like on the spaceship, but an emote (the guy was typing a command), whatever this means.

    Did anybody realize, that after the famous PVP-FAQ thread Musco stopped posting? I assume, he isn't allowed to do it anymore after the ****storm (and the wave of cancelations) he started.
  22. Die Community (nicht nur hier) hat die Ranked-Solo-Queues erfolgreich klein gemobbed und nun wundert man sich, warum niemand mehr listet.
  23. All Imp and rep classes are mirrored and - with a minor exception - the same. On my server the republic is dominating PVP.
