  1. . The Firespray was a space superiority fighter as portrayed in Star Wars Galaxies, but in the movies it obviously could hold multiple crew and had a cargo area. Maybe its a T2 Strike in this game?

Given the Firespray's size, and ordinance, including mines, I would argue that it's a T3 bomber (with Quads, Concussion Missiles, Concussion Mines, and Power Dive with turning rate).

  2. If it has to be paid for (as most Flairs are), then it might be so helpful as a lot of people are unwilling/unable to pay. And it's pretty unlikely they'll make a free thing only meant to be used by a small niche. And if it were free, you're going to be unintentionally (or intentionally) trolled by people who put it on just because they think it looks cool.
  3. Sorry, I'm stuck on this bit: "you cannot get the items you need for a fair price unless you have the right skills tree maxed out"

What does that even mean? How do skill trees affect how much you can buy things for?

Yeah I noticed that odd line too. I think it just devolved into a rant/ramble by that point. I just love these, "I demand this or else me and my many, many friends are leaving!" posts.

  4. That would be a great place for a crystal to be found. Aside from the fact that a crystal may simply have been washed out of the earth to a place where water (and life) collects, there's also some precedent when the Wookiee padawan in the Clone Wars ep, "The Gathering", found his crystal in a kind of underground frozen lake.
  5. The Female SI VA: Xanthe Elbrick, i love her voice work as much as Euan Morton who did the Male SI VA, some differing tones there, Xanthe draws it out a bit and Euan does it quickly almost irritated like. both add an element of suspense and believability.

I adore the female SI voice! It comes off as very haughty, like, "I am sooo much better than you".

  6. But I have the option of making my Flashfire a Quads and Pods jouster, or leaving it as a BLC/Cluster dogfighter with maximum Firing Arc, and making Novadive the jouster instead with LC's. That's why I'm asking how LC's perform in comparison to Quads.

Well, an advantage of the Quads over the LC's is their small amount of shield piercing and having a crit build possibility. But they are energy hogs though, so the effectiveness will depend on how accurate you are, and how well you manage your energy. Conversely, the LC's get a small bonus to shield damage, so it's a matter of preference of shield piercing vs shield crushing.

More importantly though, since the Flashfire has more shields than Novadive, it would have a better chance than the Novadive at surviving a head-to-head encounter where the enemy is shooting at you as you approach.

  7. For head-to-head approaches, I'd say Quads and Pods will be better, because you'll have a far longer engagement range to begin firing, and it suggests you'll be fairly lined up with your target. The short effective engagement range of BLC's means that in a head-to-head approach, your window to shoot will be extremely short before you've already passed each other, and in the meantime, you'd be getting pelted by an opponent's longer-ranged weaponry.

It all depends on your flying style. If you get into a turning war after the initial pass, BLC's will be better in that situation. But if you disengage after the initial pass to line up another head-to-head joust, Quads will likely serve you better.

  8. Actually, Lana's response to being dumped after an old LI returns strikes me as very true to her character. I think she's actually completely devastated but puts on a brave face as a defense, to try and protect at least some of her heart. I wouldn't be surprised if she raged or wept in private, while trying to seem strong and in control in front of the player character.

Agreed. During one of the chapters, she talks about using pain to fuel her power. But thankfully, she's also level-headed enough to know you're working for a greater good, so she doesn't try to kill you for dumping her.

  9. 3) The OP is famous for posting "Woe is me" threads complaining about people that hurt his feelings in an attempt to garner sympathy from the community. It seems he thrives on causing drama.

    4) The OP has admitted, in the past, that he has some sort of personality or mental disorder (I can't remember what it is, nor do I care). This alone makes his "testimony" of the situation questionable. And there are always 2 sides to every story.

As someone that's been on the forums for years, I can testify to seeing that as well.

But as the saying goes, "All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again..." (oh wait, wrong franchise!)

  10. Two out of four is not a majority of the group. It makes sense that the kick works with 2 votes because stale mates are not useful particularly when a person is disconnected or afk without reason for example. But it doesn't make 2 out of 4 a majority.

Of course, that's just a math issue that is too hard to understand for some.

You framing it as the "majority of the group" is disingenuous when you know darn well that the context is about the majority of VOTERS, of which the person being voted on does not participate. Literally everyone else here has understood that. But if you must "win" the point that no one is arguing, sure, "2 is not a majority of a 4 person group". Meanwhile, the rest of us are quite clear and agree that the majority of the people VOTING agreed to kick.
