  1. Who cares if you guys can't even step up to correct this "customization-mess" ?
  2. they have already...just not enough to even step up and correct this scam-attempt. Obviously they aren't aiming for long-term customers *shrugs* .
  3. Buying random dyes for the slim chance for a rare and an even more slim chance on the only one you want? http://nooooooooooooooo.com/ but hey..they hear us loud and clear... wonder if i should expect actions as well- i better not.
  4. Interesting approach , maybe we all should just cancel our subscriptions and invest the saved money into f2p passes. Might be much cheaper in the long run than subscribing - since we pay either way CC for anything and the limitations are easy enough to bypass via GTN bought unlocks. Or (and that's unfortunately an pretty unrealistic/ idealistic personal wish) enough people would just quit subscribing swtor at all and see if "We heard you loud and clear." bears any positive action as well. I don't care if the next update is "less market-driven"... i expected (and still expect) a customer-friendly way to dye items....
  5. 1-6 yes 7 strong disagreement because... why "punish" people for prefering color x over color y? Those are consumable items that are obsolete the moment you find another good looking armor - besides you will need a lot of dyes anyways. Let people enjoy playing around with colors - which they won't as long they need to gamble for wanted colors (which destroys the purpose of customizing in the first place actually).
  6. " AND ARE DOING BUSINESS IN ONE OF THE MOST UNETHICAL WAYS POSSIBLE" /signed Exactly what i think about it... Will they loose customers and forfeit having players actually make good use of coloring items? I bet they do. I had to laugh out loud when reading "We hear you loud and clear" while we all know that nothing is going to change... Basically they farted into our faces and dare to act as if they are surprised that we kinda don't like it. But ..hey! That's no problem at all since there will be other content ...yay..other content that won't be "market-driven" ...soon ...something... it will be cool ... and..definatly not solve things that we are really interested in ..like haveing ..lets say black/black. And...after that... whats next? another "market-driven" scam? ^^ Won't probably not be here by that time though.... i usually tend not to reward unethical buisness by spending money or time into it.
  7. As a (now ex-) subscriber i can proudly say 0 and not the slightest intention to use it because i intend to boycott anything related to "customization" till you guys make it happen that i can for example buy black/black dyes without to lotto for it or spend huge ammounts of credits. Marginal thing ...i know but then again there are people playing for the whole purpose of having freedom about the looks of their characters ...you deny them this.... and thus we are very, very upset. I have no problem to pay a micro payment for customization - then again..why should i subscribe if ihave to pay for it ? F2p have to pay somewhat more ..cool ... they don't pay a monthly subscription fee to start with though. We wanted to build up legacies... a legacy as a sith in green/white , flingbrown/yellow is not acceptable..i suggest to rethink that vision of yours.
  8. "Howdy, folks. Cory Butler here to follow-up on some of your concerns that have been surfacing in the forums and on social media sites around Game Update 2.1: Customization. First, it's important to know that 2.1 will not affect the cadence of our game update schedule." - thanks we were not "worried" about that in the slightest. so..that's the blah blah line so far. " 2.1 was the second half of our Cartel Market implementation plan. So, do not expect to see this type of Market-driven update on a regular basis." - and you would have more customers if you had not made us experience this kind of scam in the first place. "This release was comprised almost entirely of cosmetic options that have no impact on combat balance or gameplay. Vanity modifications are the kinds of things, in general, that we’ve always planned to offer in the Cartel Market for purchase by all players" - really that is thrilling to know that coloring doesn't affect game balance..thanks for pointing that out. If it was that unimportant to people ...why not letting them customize their items like they wanted without this lotto-scam attempt? " and in some cases, like with Appearance Designer changes, discounted for subscribers -- having said that, we’ve heard some frustration from subscribers that, even with these kinds of offerings, we ought to do more to recognize subscriber status. We hear you loud and clear. Please stay tuned." - we don't need to be recognized, we need the content you put into game to be attainable aka..not a lotto for black/black ....its like you go into a shop in order to buy a black jeans and the shopkeeper tells you "k, 80 bucks and we'll see which jeans you will get ... the black one you want is of course rare..meaning 99 out of 100 tries you ll end up with well... crap ... you can of course try as many times for your black jeans as you want." . Great way to attract new and keep old customer's ... or ..not? "To continue on the point of content cadence, I know in a separate post Eric discussed a bit about our cadence and that our plan is for all of you to see content within an 8-week window from Rise of the Hutt Cartel’s launch, I would recommend reading his post for more details, here." -considered your unwillingness to provide content (mainly talking about dyes) in an acceptable and or player-friendly way..... know what? keep that what you call content - less stuff to get repulsed and disgusted at. " What I do want to do is assure you that we have many more things in the works here at BioWare that aren’t Cartel Market features, and are the exact types of content you folks have been asking about." - we asked for dyes for example...thanks for that crap you made out of that. so..at which point should i get excited now? that you "do something for us" but without us having something in the end? Or we get something new while the main issue is unsolved ? " I cannot go into specifics yet but we are definitely working on things like new Flashpoints, Operations, daily hubs, events, PvP, and even the super-secret space project! Game Update 2.1 is just one of the many Updates you will get from us this year and I am really excited about what is still to come and I think you will be too." - We were excited about customizing characters / items.... definately i can go into specifics as in.... if you are not even able or willing to get a solution for dyes that works for your players... what can we then expect from you guys when it comes to more complicated things?.....like..another scam...or...more disapointment (hardly possible admitted). "Until next time -- see you in-game!" - i don't think so - not without you standing up to your announcement to have players control about dying items - which we don't have in the slightest besides to boycott it.
  9. Still, a system that is build up in order to scam people, seems not to be of any concern for you? *shrugs* where i come from you react towards people who try to scam you.
  10. Yes- and the payment as an pissed off subscriber, that can't possibly use an basic ingame feature without paying huge ammounts of cartel coins ....that payment i can make artificially rare as well ... as in canceling it. BWEA can do what they want...but we can too. Simple thing really...happy customers = paying customers... you try to fool and rip off your customers = less or no customers.
  11. Coloring items is totally a cosmetic thing eh? yeah no **** sherlock thats what we were asking for. You on the other hand made it impossible to customize colors on items without us spending either huge amounts of cartel coins with no guaranty of success, buy it from other players for several millions of credits in trademarket who bought those packs in large numbers - not to use them ...but for the purpose of making credits out of those or run around in clown colors (which isn't customization as i had no real choice except to decline it in the first place). In short... you implemented a system there that lead the whole purpose of customization down the drain. You think you did something generous towards us ? something good? laughable... Black/ black is not avaiable to normal people that don't want to get scammed....is it cosmetic ? right it is ...its on the other hand something that would make me enjoy the look of my characters more.. characters i like are characters played... if there is a system to dye i expect nothing less than to be able to use it without spending millions or draw a lotto for real money (as it is in basically any other mmo / rpg since 1990..... ). As i wrote...you made the system and thus you think you implemented there something cool (again its a shameful scam-attempt totally unworthy of your guys former efforts). i have no hope that you will change it into something that would resolve my "black / black, white / white " problem. no solution on that tiny, really absolute marginal (for you ) matter means... what can i expect in future besides having a dye-system ingame thats no point at all to use for me? The solution is as simple as it is logical: I'd rather play other games ... and once you shut down a couple of more servers for merges you might rethink if it wouldn't been better to have happy, paying customers instead. Something that angers me quite a bit is ... you seem to not to understand that you make content for us because we are paying you ... and not because you are nice guys or the like... keep scamming your customers, keep up pissing them off and a lot of more ppl will realize it and give their money to another company. On a side note... personally i wouldn't had a problem to pay micro-payment for the exact color(s) i want (can't stress enough the word "micro" which i would say is like 50 cc or less since we would need a lot of colors and those quite often). I bet ...you would been drowned in money and that for along time over and over again while ppl would been able to dye the way they want.. but oh well ...
  12. the thing Producer Cory Butler missed to mention was "You are not able to customize your character in any way that you personally want, you can possibly get only dyes that makes you go blind when using. Of course you can buy 2 useless random dyes per 200 cartel coins and hope to find "rare" finds in them like black/ black. Imagine how rare black/black must be in the empire. But apparently he has reasons to be proud about this... true sith runs around in brown/green or green/blue or white/yellow in his vision ...those are craftable and - if you ask me something for people with a hidden clown-trauma back from their childhood. SHAME on you guys! This is the worst possible scam i have seen a while in an online-game where customization is a matter of a lot of money and luck. On a sidenote, i cancelled my subscription and can only hope a lot of other people will do that as well in order to make you guys at least rethink if this was such a good plan to rip people off in the end.....
  13. wrong question imho... it should been like " Is there actually any game that has not a better dye system than this rip off scam attempt ? " the answer is as easy as it is quite sad... there is probably not a single one. few examples: EQ 1 ( a decade old title) better GW 2 guess what? better... Champions online... hands down best of all when it comes to customisation of your chars/ gears appearance Neverwinter Diablo 3 (yap... very sad that even this is better and at least working in favor of the players)
  14. translation what he probably really wanted to write..... Just wanted to drop a few (last ) lines to let you fine folks at Bioware know "why i am cancelling my subscription"! this seems to be merely the tip of the color iceberg scam and I'm not awaiting what further ridicilous, unwanted , nonworking colour-pollution you have coming down the drain in future updates- but so far, can't say enough how much of an disapointment it is, to be not to be able to customize my character to look like (can't stress this enough) !!! I WANT !!! . I found myself just "people watching" for several seconds last night, making note of some especially silly looking dye sets on other armors. To say nothing of all the time spend trying out new options on my own (which took me a few minutes to cry in memory of decade old games where dying actually had a meaning ..like EQ1 ) You've made a lot of players very, very unhappy and I won't buy a single " mebbe you find a colour that isnt plain ugly- packs" . Keep this great work up and you can probably run around in swtor ...by yourself, alone, without subscribers.
  15. I am fully aware that nobody that should give a damn..will give a damn about this. The only thing i can do as a subscribing customer is ..to cancel my subscription in order not to feed you for this crap any more money than i have already. Dye? where is black?...do you really expect me to throw in cartel market coins for a "CHANCE" on that colour? Do you really think that we buy this stupid excuse for a system in order to make up your bad fashion / colouring taste? I am sure a lot of people will buy colours like mad - but well ..good riddance, i won't be one of those. You don't want to have happy (and thus paying) customers- alright... you succeed in that at least. I might check back once this game is really dead (which won't be long) and see if you got commonsense by that time (which will be too late).
  16. I can only hope it was an error to change look of that formerly awesome piece of armor which i payed quite a sum in the market in order to attain it. Fix it back asap please because now its not only not fitting its own icon - it looks as crappy as it could be - btw.. once you are on it..the spymaster one has changed as well into something i wouldn't put my hands less to say that piece of crap onto the chest of an char of mine. thanks in advance
