I didn't really attack you until you decided the most important thing to be discussed here was how seriously I personally take something. But who said what first aside, the datacrons comment was seriously not an attack, it's an honest suggestion. If you know someone who is being harmed by the lack of a little bit of mastery and endurance, tell them to get some, help them get some if you have to. They are pretty decent even if not just to make up for something else lacking - over all of them is what, some 200 stat points or 300 or whatever. More than you'd get by upgrading a 216 to a 230.
I don't particularly believe people have to play it one way or another. One of my favorite things about this new system is that if someone wants to only do HM FPs or whatever forever they don't need to do a content they're not interested at in order to improve their gear for that, they can just do what they like. What I do think is that you shouldn't have to carry someone who doesn't give a damn they're being carried forever, and neither should I. Anything that makes it harder for someone to just lay back and let you do their part, give them their gear, make up for their numbers... Is an improvement to me, seriously.
I don't like this new system because it's good, I like it because the old one sucks. The old one rewards being carried more than it does trying. New one does harm the people trying to do the best they possibly can, and it is ******** everyone has to regear with no new content for them to use the gear at, but it harms more the too common atitude of wanting to do raids but not wanting to stop being a deadweight. Seriously do not think everyone has to be perfect at any part of the game or even try to be, but if their "preferred playstyle" is doing nothing, maybe they should just do nothing outside of a group that is trying to kill stuff and don't die.
