You need to learn how play the class,simple as that. If you try and run straight into the fray with your GS yes you will likely get owned. Be strategic, find a good spot to lay down some fire and help your team, learn to move your spot quickly to adjust. Avoid direct duels with others if u can. The damage I put out with my GS is crazy, the defence weakness balances out Imo. When you find that sweet spot and start racking up kills you'll understand

I'm a level 46 shield tech on Voss, I play mostly pve but do wz's quite often. I haven't noticed much difference at all on the pve side, I picked up where I left off and didn't feel any weaker. I did notice on wz's that I seem to collect medals alot easier now, previously I would get 5 or 6 on average using my guard and taunts now I seem to consistently get 8-10. The change in the top tiers of the shield tech tree had me worried but haven't noticed any significant changes from that.

Again.. meh some people will never be satisfied. Definitely a good idea to post your concerns so maybe BW will see. But still, very early since launch.

I'm leveling as a pyrotech and have had zero issue so far, although I'm generally not going solo. I'm finding the damage output of the pyro very good and very fun to play overall.

Meh, this game launched like 2 months ago - I'm certain there will be DLC and expansions.

Wow, total opposite experience for me.. I've only played 2 characters so far, I first leveled a Jedi Guardian to 45, I found it challenging and died quite a bit while soloing. Then I decided to try a Merc, went for the arsenal spec and couldn't believe how much easier it was.. I still die time to time but I find the ranged aoe attacks and defensive tools the BH has very effective. I definitely found the Guardian much more difficult to solo...
