  1. I honestly feel sorry for any pvp'r in this game. SWTOR could be so much more..and yet it's still just a grindfest for gear....to get more gear...to upgrade your gear..to grind a status to unlock more gear....then upgrade that gear etc... and all for what....pointless 15min matches of pvp in a warzone where's there real time, sandbox, meaningful pvp like...whatever guild hold's "X" point on "Y" planet receives the benefit/mats/creds etc...and a 3 or 6 hour timer in which said point could be contested/pvp'd over. ...ohhh...the good ol days. I feel sorry for this new generation of pvp'rs
  2. Bolster...Gear...Stats....Expertise....HP..... Damage...blah blah blah blah... Ultimate bragging rights: Create a system that tracks your numbers and your numbers alone (healing, dps, dps absorption etc....) Win/Loss ratio would also come into play to make sure people didn't abuse the system and cause their team to lose while fulfilling own needs. Everyone "starts" with the same peak stats depending on your class (dps, healer, tank etc..) Gear would be purely cosmetic...and higher tier gear unlocked only when one receives a higher pvp rank/rating say...starting 25k HP and you can toss any starting damage/crit/surge numbers in there you like this system (similiar to ranked pvp...but follows the individual) would over time increase or decrease your HP over time depending on your skill. Over time a N00B/Baddie would have 30k+ hp and the PVP elites would have <20k HP When you see a person with less than 20K HP (along with title like Elite War Hero...aka...Ultimate Bad *****) you'd know...they had to work and work their butt off to get less than 20K HP ...and why less and not more HP the better you are? Because the true Elite PVP'er doesn't need a gear advantage. Teamwork, Skill, Communication will always concur a team padded wtih handicap numbers and no communication/teamwork. Doing more with less....that should be the ultimate goal
  3. thinking GS did get nerfed...they definitely tweaked something under the table. Not sure how I'm liking some of the new sounds and animations as well....so far added extra choppy/clunkyness on my GS although I do still top the boards in overall WZ dps regularly...if feels like any 1v1's I get into are definitely more challenging
  4. WZ's still kinda choppy post 1.3 animations are laggy, and damage does seem like it was tweaked a little down (at least on rep side) curious what they did.... Oh and mara/sents just *** pwn me even harder now....yay

  6. Honestly.....the ONE and ONLY thing a GS can do that sets them apart from any other class is node/door defense. 31 points in Sab (Incin Nade) and rest in DF or MM depending on playstyle. Yes, they have great single target DPS, but many others classes do as well, with much better survivability. DPS is DPS....but the 31pt Sab spec is the only thing that really separates the GS from others. ...I fear the day when the other classes catch on to our niche....we'll then be QQ'd about and nerfed as FOTM OP etc...etc...class.
  7. Nice story! +1 on never giving up! One good player can literally turn the tide in WZ's in this game....
  8. I'm guessing it varies from server to server. We've never used the term "snow/grass" It's always been east/west/mid/south etc.... about the only time we divert is when first leaving the gate "2 left, rest mid" or "stealth right, rest left" etc...

Hunker Down on my Gunslinger Pop a relic and adrenal alacrity buff then Freighter Fly By on a stack of enemies Then watching their HP's drop when they're too slow to move out of the way....of course aoe stun and snare from other abilities make it a little difficult Then I just play clean up with quickdraw and other singletarget abilities It's glorious! Also like others have said....using knockback to toss some poor soul into a huttball fire....but it's even more fun when they're on an incline/ramp and you KB them like 20M into a fire! It's like kicking a fieldgoal! lol!
  10. I love how many people say sniper/GS....but honestly, if they are so good, why do you hardly see them in WZ's. My main is a GS and I can honestly say I'm usually the only smuggler in the group 95%+ of the time. You'll see scoundrel's occasionally (heal spec) but I hardly ever see another gunslinger or face very many snipers as a gunslinger...I actually pretty much know all the gunslingers and snipers on my server by name (the one's that are active pvp'rs) and they're simply very very low numbers compared to all the glow batters and VG/PT's out there. so if you want melee, go mara/sent as they're simply unstoppable if you want range, go vanguard/powertech...crazy burst. ya...they're dps classes and don't live as long as tanks, but when everyone is dead...do you really need survivability?
  11. actually he's right... I'm 1300+ expertise with about 25% damage and 20% reduction...so they are close, but not "scaled perfectly" And to the guy who mentioned he's 1200 expertise with full WH gear as a Gunslinger....check again. you should be 1350'ish expertise with full WH.
  12. 110 expertise (like 61) you'd think 65 would be higher not the same...
  13. I could see it working. Would definitely be a very annoying class to fight 1v1 if you didn't have heals or cleanse. DoT enemy up, toss out other random damage while healing yourself. Would be a little longer fight than most, but you could win alot. And of course tossing out a little fluff damage while healing in WZ's isn't a bad idea either. Trust me. classes w/out heals or cleanse will hate having dots on them
  14. Not sure why people say PT's are squishy....they wear Heavy Armor and I have seen group of 4 people all BM or higher bash on 1 and he will still usually kill 2 or 3 before he goes down. There's a PT on my server who can like 2 or 3 shot me and I have 1300+ expertise...he does this consistently. I only wish I had half the damage, utility, mobility of a PT (I play a Gunslinger) Maybe they don't need a nerf....but in that case, Gunslinger/Sniper need an insane buff to balance them out.
  15. Mmmmm Gunslinger/sniper buffs FTW Everything else seems fairly balanced to me...except commando/merc could maybe use just a pinch of love. Jugg/Guardian...humm..not sure about them needing buffs. They good as a DPS or tank spec. Possibly buff their survivability...but then they'd need nerf on their damage
