  1. I'm sorry, but as a Catholic it is a mortal sin to even *contemplate* pr0n. I do not wish to burn in the flames of Hell for all eternity for possessing impure thoughts. Now would you be so kind as to return my files? Thanking you in advance, Januaria (pure as the driven snow).
  2. It was there last night, now it's...poof...gone. The folder is there, but ALL the images are gone. Nothing is in my Recycle Bin. I've followed the path back to the source, but nada. It's a technical mystery. Okay, I admit it, I might have made one or two disparaging remarks about NSA surveillance in a few political blogs, but would they really stoop to wiping my screen captures? Fortunately I keep an archive of all files on a separate HD (in an undisclosed location). Still, it's a bit of a mystery as to how the folder remains but the contents are wiped.
  3. How dare you, sir, mock Ensign Wesley Crusher! I will not stand for it!
  4. I blame this on damned, dirty, dope-smoking hippies! Nixon would know how to deal with these Commies! Wait, did they even have electricity back then...? ...nvm...
  5. I just inadvertently urinated into my shorts. That and a ruptured kidney. This is ungood.
  6. Worst experience since my trip on the Hindenburg. That docking at Lakehurst, NJ was a bit buggy. OH, THE HUMANITY, AND ALL THE PEEPS!!!
  7. This is my last comment on this thread -- promise! Tried FRAPS again tonight and it captured 100% of all cut scene screen shots! So I am much obliged to you peeps for pointing me in the right direction! Any investment advice? Okay, sorry, that's just wrong to ask....
  8. Sorry to keep playing rope-a-dope with this thread but, I installed and tried Fraps last night. On cut scenes my success rate was 37.5% (3 out of 8 screen shots were captured). For some reason the failed five just came out as black smudges. Oh well. Thanks again, peeps, for all your input!
  9. Looks like Fraps wins in a landslide. Thanks again, peeps. I'm really getting absorbed with my Scoundrel and Risha is such an awesome DPS (if a bit squishy in the Endurance department).
  10. "What's your sign?" --- best pick-up line from the mid to late 70's. Not that I lived through that era, mind you, I read that in an excellent academic work, "Mating Habits of the American Male During the Age of Polyester." Authored by Dr. Millard Thadeus Witherspoon.
  11. I downloaded and installed ScreenGrab -- but the application wouldn't actually capture any images. Perhaps it's my technical ineptitude. Looks like I'm going to have to try a free version of Fraps (which, being free, I'm sure has many limitations) or doing [CTRL] + [Print Screen] and pasting it to Irfan View and then saving the JPEG into my Screenshots folder. A tedious process and you can only do ONE capture at a time. Wish BW would bring back the old capability. Oh well...
  12. Well I've tried all three screen modes and nothing will capture my glorious Smuggler cut scenes. Like some crazy person I'm smashing the [Print Screen] button to no avail. I'm going to give your suggestion a try. Many thanks for including that helpful screen capture. You, Sir (or Madam), are a scholar and a gentleman (or a lady).
  13. This NEVER dawned on me. Will definitely give it a try tonight. I'll let you know what happens. Fingers crossed.
  14. Oh, I definitely settled accounts with Skavak -- believe me, it was slow, gruesome and deliciously satisfying. Hope that wasn't a SPOILER, cause I hate peeps who ruin your enjoyment when they spout out spoilers! Like that jerk who yelled out at the screening of Saving Private Ryan, "THE GERMANS LOST THE WAR!!!" Man, I was so pissed...
  15. Thanks for those responses, guys. I guess I'll download the trial version of Fraps and give it a try. Meanwhile, I've got an itchy trigger finger 'cause I think I'm closing in on Skavak.
  16. Hi peeps. I recently came back to the game after an absence of a few months to recharge my psychic batteries. Loving the game more than ever and I'm really getting immersed in my Scoundrel story line (I will not rest until I settle the score with Skavak!). But one thing I did notice is that I can no longer capture the awesome graphics of cut scenes by hitting the [Print Screen] button. I have literally HUNDREDS of cut scene screenshots from my previous time in the game. Has this option been recently disabled? It's not a huge issue for me, but I do miss capturing the awesome, creamy nougatty goodness of my toons and using them for wallpapers at work and home. Any suggestions (besides [shift] + [Print Screen], copy to third-party app, paste to designated folder)?
  17. While a very good game, SWTOR will never be a "great" game (at least for me). Lack of Chat Bubbles, fully fleshed-out voice emotes, and macro-able texts, absolutely kills any immersion that I felt in that Other MMO Whose Name Shall Not Be Named. Silly as it may sound, when I did play that Other MMO Whose Name Shall Not Be Named, every time I leveled (even if it was Alt #25 getting to level 2), I'd type "cheer" and watch my toon jump up and down and yell out "horray!" The first time I leveled in SWTOR, way back in December 2011, and I typed "cheer" all I got was a silent clap. My toon felt so lifeless. In fact one of the classes (can't remember which one), if you type "TY" your toon says something like "I'm terribly sorry." Sloppy... For me, SWTOR is a place-holder until something better comes along.
  18. Just checked out the links to Wildstar. Looks like it's geared to a VERY young demographic, say, pre-teen through adolescence. Can't imagine an actual adult getting into those graphics. Not passing judgment mind you, but it makes Panda Land look like a Monet exhibit at the Met. Oh wait....I guess I am passing judgment. My bad.
  19. I am stunned, STUNNED I tell you, that Church Lady has not yet chimed in to pontificate. Must be busy polishing up her homilies before the sermon begins.
  20. You, sir or madam, have won the Internet for this week! TY for making me laugh while I'm at work on a Saturday.
  21. You want a sentence? Will you settle for just a clause? SWTOR: A flawed masterpiece. P.S. I'd say that your sentence was just a wee bit on the harsh side. Heh...
  22. I don't see what your issue is with his conscientious record keeping. Who doesn't spy on their old girl friends or take notes on the travel habits of ex-bosses who've wronged them? I suppose you'd condemn me if I told you that I listen in to my neighbors' conversations through the walls by using a stethoscope. Jeez, get off your high horse. And now I must leave to follow a girl who turned me down for prom night in 1972.
  23. "...an urgent and lengthy trip to a remote country." I see a statement like this and alarm bells go off in my head. "Remote country?" Hell, even Antarctica has cell phone and/or satellite access. I'd like to know what this "remote country" is. Color me skeptical.
