Ok. So, why not make this exact same gear be obtainable by people who spend equivalent time in pvp? If it is really important that the gear be "distinguishable" why not make it be distinguishable in visual form only. Perhaps it could be as simple as the color. The pvp gear has a red tint while the pve set is blue.

I don't understand why my point is so obtuese. Why have a difference in gear specialty for pve or pvp at all? If you spend x hours of time to get level 3 pve gear why not have an equivalent set of gear obtainable by x hours in pvp or crafting? In my opinion its more of a challenge to respond to unpredictable player mechanics than scripted boss mechanics. However, with gear rewarded from doing pvp, you are out of luck to try pve.

Hello That is an involved and interesting read, but you missed my point. If you are spending time playing the game and enjoy all aspects of the game, what is wrong with one set of gear? i.e. if you spend time gathering/crafting, you get gear which can be used in pvp or pve? If you spend time doing pvp why not have gear which could be used to pve? Likewise for pve. It seems that once you craft to max there is more benefit, so why craft gear to begin with? If you spend time doing pvp, you can only pvp and never pve. And considering the disparity of gear to valor already, then the only way you will ever be competitive in pvp is to be carried by an existing guild. Ditto for pve. If you are casual and do not want to be a slave to a guild its game over once you reach max level. You will be camped in pvp, you will not be chosen for raids, you can not make gear or quest for it on your own.

I don't get it. If you spend time playing pvp or pve, you are "spending time". Why have two distinct sets? Maybe this month, you want to spend time doing pvp, next month you would like to pve. Also, why not have crafting create gear which is capable for either? To be honest, I like all aspects of the game, pvp, pve, crafting, questing/leveling. It seems from reading these boards that if you are not lvl 50 with pvp gear now, you have missed the curve and will be forever camped later. Also it seems that if you are not grinding pve raids now, you will never be picked for raids since pvp gear is crap. In wow, I remember raid progressions. I think the intention was do heroics, do entry level raids, do the next level raid, do the final raid level. I joined late and people wanted to be carried in heroics and then skip to the latest greatest raid boss. Everything in between, the lvl 60, 70, and entry level 80 raids were unused. Furthermore, if you spend time crafting, its all crap once you get to 50 since its not used for pve or pvp.

I still have 6 months on two accounts going, so I don't want to quit or get banned yet. But, I am wondering if were to do this would I be the one in violation of the eula. It also makes me wonder what the counter to farming is. 1. Not pick up the ball. 2. If you get the ball, ground it or throw to an opponent. 3. Move to their endzone, even without ball and try to get their newly incoming players. 4. Lastly, if you can not make it to their endzone, do as you suggest. I guess the standing rule applies. Stun healer and try to get him separated from his tank and defensive buff. Ignore ball carrier until healer is gone.

Hello Could you please add a capability that allows the level selection to persist between crew missions? For instance if I need lvl 2 metals and I choose lvl2 metal gathering mission, when the mission completes the next time I select a gathering mission remember that selection so that you don't have to reselect lvl 2 again. Well nothing sucks like waiting a long time, then joining a game that is 5 to 0 with 8 minutes to go. Then they are even bragging about farming. Really its an exploit. I've also wondered about the objective points. I am glad you pointed out its only when they kill the ball carrier. I've opened doors, unlocked bridges, scored the ball, etc and then noticed that I had zero objective points. So lucas arts/ bioware is it an exploit for us to go in a corner and craft when they are farming? How about when teams get split and the guild mates on the "lowbie side" quit and thus make it even worse for the lowbie/pug team? Is it ok for them to talk junk? Its it ok for them to cause other subscribers/paying customers to quit the match?

Hello I am glad you agree. In my case, as I watch people leave the match and make it worse for the pug, I say in /ops that they should report the guilds in question. Then, the guild members say "kill mytoonname" and they target me in particular. They will harass me via messages in /ops and even /local fleetside forcing me to /ignore them. Its particularly unfair when they are able to target me, even though I am in stealth trying to make my to a lone target. I can only assume there threats of "get mytoonname" are real and they are all doing /target mytoonname to find my toon. They say this is not against terms of service, but I figure its a violation of: 1. exploiting bug in system - lvl 50s in bg with lowbies farming kills. 2. verbal and in game harrasment - talking trash to players and camping them. Seriously I did not pay for two six month accounts for myself and my son to get continously whacked by the 10% who made it 50 first. John

Hello When I go to a vendor to purchase an item, I can click "sort by price" but "show only usable" does not filter the list. Is this a bug or just my UI? For instance, if I am playing a lightsaber user and I click the "show only usable" I expect the list not to show "blasters and sniper rifles". John

I like to pvp and I don't mind paying my dues getting beat when I am a lowbie, but seriously our server is becoming a drag. We have two guilds which routinely, I mean everytime, run the score up to 5 points and then hold the ball for 10 minutes farming lowbie pugs. I've also personally seen when their team is split the one on the lowbie side, leave the game ensuring its unbalanced more. I always stick it out, but others (maybe they are smarter) will simply quit. I've killed some 50s in pvp, but when its a team of them, its nearly impossible for a pug to do anything to these uber geared players. Is this not considered an exploit of a bugged setup? I mean if it was 50s vs 50s they would not be doing this. And most certainly it should not be considered "honorable" to farm honor kills in this manner. I'm interested in your opinion.

I created two Republic toons at first. I grew very frustrated with my teammates. In particular I rolled a healer and they never stayed in range for my heals, so I switched factions. So much easier. However, I would really like to transfer that toon since I was leveling a crew skill which I currently do not have on imperial side. Also, I used to play Alliance on a Wow PVP server. I consider Alliance on wow the only way to get "hard mode". Anyone can pvp on a server with good team mates. Its order of magnitude different to play on a server where your average team mate is 11 years old.

Hi, Is it just me or do you guys have errors where you can not do crewskills? Frequently I have "unavailable" in my mission list or I have four crew skills instead of three in my UI.
