Can't say I have ever experienced queue times that high. So in my opinion, yes the ping is worth it, but that's just my opinion. I only play during peak hours. I'm sure if I played non-peak hours or a lot of hours a day, I would enjoy having Americans around to fill the random slots needed in whatever group I wanted, but that's not community related. That's simply filling the void. I would not care for them, I would not acknowledge them. I would do what is needed and move on.

Then don't speak about playing for the community, if you are self motivated. It's just incorrect and nobody is winning from the community stand point, hence the community backlash. There is only a minority population set to gain because of ping improvements. An SPC is only excited by the prospect of more ranked warzones. Til they get there, and realize hey.. we don't play the same time zones as the majority of these people.. so queue times will still be ridiculously slow after the excitement blows over..

I'd disagree with that statement, regional servers have everything to do with ping and that's why they are made and that's why people try to find the one closest to them. Even within America, West Coast Americans try to play on West Coast servers because hey 20ms is better then 80ms. There is always "unofficial servers" with communities created for people within a set time zone that don't have regional servers available, and people tend to migrate to those settings regardless. I.E. I believe the Harbinger was one of the unofficial APAC server for those who started prior to our regional launch. They have and always will continue to exist while regional servers don't exist, but we had them and it's a gigantic shame they are letting them go, without first testing the population during a giant server merge. I don't see where you will find a larger APAC community, if anything, this will dilute the APAC community into smaller more segregated systems with people dispersing into different servers. Either way, I think you need to put the shoe on the other foot for a moment, and think about your feelings if you were forced onto a server that doubled or even tripled your ping. Not given a choice to accept a higher ping, but forced to do it. You speak like your all about the community and you don't care about ping, but your basically celebrating an act that will damage the community because your getting a better ping. I just don't follow your rationale anymore.

I'm just curious, since you were never forced into moving to APAC servers you had the choice to move if you wanted too.. Why did you pick a server that has worse ping then what you were already playing on? or make the choice to start here if you were aware US servers gave you better ping?

Contemplating it honestly. Only came back for the 50ms. Not sure I can handle playing another game on 250+ms on a good day for me. Kills the fun factor. Especially playing Shadow and I ain't rolling ranged. So will see what happens when the time comes.
