  1. This OP has seriously been making new threads about sents/marauders since 1.2on a daily basis. I mean, multiple times a day, all on the same topic. As soon as one thread starts to die down, up comes another one! and guess who?! Tehrealdealz!!!! Seriously......A+ for persistence, but couldn't that time be better spent doing ANYTHING else? Just go click his name and look through his prior posts. /laugh

  3. What he is trying to say is your whole post is worthless. Any class can post a vid of a warhero/Bm geared player critting a non geared obviously noob player. What did you exactly plan to prove with that post? Why don't you post some footage vs other equally geared players who can actually think while they're playing instead of obvious noobs who have no clue what they are doing?
  4. Lmao, you make me laugh. Only buff was to ravage/master strike, which is for all WARRIORS. If you think that buff made marauders/sents OP, you need to l2p. In certain situations it is a harad hitting ability, ,but its on a 30 second CD with a 3 second channel. Watchmen/annhi, the most played spec, got a slight NERF, while the other two trees had quality of life changes to make them more viable...but STILL not as good as watchmen/annhi, so i don't understand where all this QQ is coming from since the best spec only received a slight utility nerf. Unless, omg, ravage is suddenly making every marauder out there OP. I think not

  6. I guess I "re-rolled" this fotm class back in december, and kept it as my main and only 50 for the past 5 months. I defend against ignorance and blatant exaggerations on MOST of these QQ threads, but I do respect the opinions of those that come with constructive feedback and actual experiences instead of exagerations like "OMGOMG i get 1 shot all the time now!" You know what's funny? I was doing great pre 1.2, and seeing as how my spec was virtually unchanged except for the utility NERFS we got and the 15% extra damage on ravage (which I could really care less about, just happy that it doesn't stick you in a bugged animation for 3 seconds anymore), and the good marauders will do just fine after the "nerf" you guys are calling for on ravage/masterstrike. Really though, I look forward to the look on people's faces when they still get dominated by good mara's. It's hilarious how Annhilation spec pretty much unchanged since launch even after 1.2 (except like I said, some utililty nerfs), and all the OP/NERF QQ's are coming out now. Find the best marauder on your server, and ask to duel him without him using ravage. It's not the ability. Like I said in another post, people are just noticing mara's now because the bad ones everyone used to ignore can actually do some good damage if people let them pop off a full channeled ability on them. Seriously though, it's NOT the class....it's the changes to expertise.
  7. Defenses are good when played right, but definitely has counters. Do you ever stop and think that melee toons get ROOTED in place all the time and that is just as good as a stun to us, except it doesn't fill the resolve bar? As a melee we are also the class charging and fighting at the front lines where its very very easily spotted and focused? Our force camo is a nice aggro / target dump, but post 1.2 has been nerfed for annhi spec. The 90% accuracy debuff is nice but usually very situational. Doesn't help against all attacks. the 20% damage reduction is ridiculously easy to counter as it goes away after 6 seconds if im not getting attacked. The good players that I play against simply root me in place while repositioning or place some sort of CC on me completely negating my cloak damage reduction. ****Same thing with the undying rage....it takes half your health away and is 99% reduced damage for 6 seconds. Whenever I duel against a fellow marauder/sentinel.....I normally start a force choke on him with about 35% health left, followed by an execute hoping it will crit and finish him off. (of course dots rolling on him and hopefully other teammates focusing him as well). A large percentage of the time, the marauder simply has no time to even use the ability. I have noticed as well that a lot of premades playing against me will save their stuns for about the 25-40% hp range and burn me down before I have a chance to use the skill. It wouldn't make any sense to use the ability at 50% health or above as will drain h alf your life instantly. Also have a nice sabre ward defensive ability but it is on a 3 minute cooldown. I guess some will never be happy though unless marauders/sentinels start wearing nothing but aprons and come into warzones with 8k hp.
  8. To the OP: How many threads are you going to start about sentinels / marauders being OP? I can understand one or even maybe two, but it's like you start a new one about the same topic every time activity starts dropping from the prior. Give it a rest already I love how so many people say things they have no clue what they are talking about. Everyone assuming people rerolled to mara because its OP and that its a "faceroll" class now. If a mara/sentinel is faceroll, i don't even know what that would make the other classes. And stop assuming everyone who plays a mara/sent is a reroll. I for one played my mara since launch when there were pages of threads of marauders QQ'ing about how "underpowered" 'we were, and it has been my main and only lvl 50. You know, I would actually favor bioware nerfing/reverting ravage/masterstrike back to pre 1.2 just to show these whiners and QQ'rs that it ISNT that skill that is pwning them. The good marauders will still shine, but the bad ones just won't hit you very hard every ONCE in a while. So i find it funny that after 1.2 there are cries of OP. I suspect its because people actually have to pay attention to the bad marauders that were waving their glowsticks around and being ignored pre 1.2. OMG, i'm actually taking damage now! OVERPOWERED! While the few good marauders will still eat you alive as they have always done. Ravage was the only skill that was buffed in damage, and my playstyle as annhilation spec is virtually unchanged except for the few utility NERFS that the tree got. PS: I'm just happy that ravage isn't bugged anymore making my toon useless for 3 seconds while stuck in animation doing no damage. That's probably also a reason why more people are complaining about that particular skill now......IT ACTUALLY WORKS NOW!
  9. Long post, some valid points. But your downfall is some of the logic. I understand a healer can not heal a person to death, however....their role is to keep the DPS alive, which in turn DPS's down the other team! You respond "well I can't heal anyone when I'm being pounded and focused by 3+ dps"!. My response "*** is the rest of your team doing letting them focus you?" Whenever I run with my buddy who has a merc healer, I always keep an eye out on him. If i see him being focused...I charge in, aoe fear, and SLOW the dps around him.....at which point he usually knocks them back, goes behind a pillar or LoS somewhere....heals up, and is back healing me while i'm killing the idiots slowly chasing him trying to finish him off. ALl this while I'm running around usually with no stuns or slows on my toon at all....Do they turn and stun/slow me so I can't help my healer? Against most groups, No. Does blowing my rage slowing enemies = a dps loss for me? Of course, but this is where strategy and skill come in play. And this is coming from a team of only TWO players. on an 8 v 8, I would expect your team to be a little more aware and focused. Let's take a group of 4 since most warzones are split between nodes/capture points. 3 dps and 1 healer vs 4 dps. The group of 4 dps will usually attack and focus the healer. Now, the team w/ the 3 dps...instead of protecting their healer, are probably too busy pew pew'ing the other side with their hardest hitting abilities instead of strategizing or working in tandem. The way the game is now actually takes a little more teamwork. No more 2-4 healer groups dominating entire matches. Teamwork you say was the problem before 1.2. So in your logic, since dps is so stupid to not protect you or kill marked healer, your solution would be to make it so rolling a healer will make up for the downfalls of the entire team? So if on my servers, the healers suck.....the solution would be to give everyone huge survivability? Use /ops chat a little more and rally your pugs. Takes a while and can be frustrating, i know, but teams CAN get better, even pugs. This is an extreme point of view, but just to get my point across: let's say 3 dps stays alive because they are getting healed. They kill 2 waves of 4 dps on the other team with no healer. For all intents and purposes, the dps pumped out by those 3 dps is essentially the healers dps since they would be dead without the healer. Now, i'm not claiming to know the ins and outs of healers, and im sure 1.2 was very game changing in terms of game play and mechanics, but all it is is getting used to new strategy. The healers on my server that are any good , of course t hey complained initially...but after day 2 or 3 after patch...guess what? They are winning us warzones for being there. The merc healer in my guild still gets focused by the opposite team, and still is able to pump out enough healing to keep himself and most of his team alive while we cap points / score in huttball. Glad to see some dps in the field now instead of 4 healers on a voidstar match keeping each other up....and with the mechanics of some warzones, just keep a stalemate the entire duration of the match. End scoreboard has like average 300-600k damage.....10 or less kills total in the match. FUN! Could the game be more balanced in terms of healing or dps? of course...it ALWAYS can and will. So instead of crying and whining that healers are now "useless" and "broken" ....stop exaggerating and put out some constructive feedback or suggestions. I automatically disregard most people's comments as soon as i start reading "USELESS". Like i said....the good healers on my server consistently win games for their team. Just adapt and learn to play with the different mechanics of the game.
  10. hahahahaha. Just wondering, what class do you play? Zero skill cap.....so that would make other classes.....negative skillcap? Marauders are widely believed to be on of the more difficult classes to play. And if you think nerfing master strike/ravage will suddenly make all the great marauders bad....you are disillusioned. You know, I don't even use my ravage anymore unless it's at an opportune time due to how easy it is to negate the damage. i.e only ravage when enemy stunned w/out CC breaker up, etc. Every time I use it against a decent team, at the first wind up animation I'm either knock backed or stunned. Lately I've been saving it for the bad players who always just stand there for the full duration trying to pew pew me. If it's such a faceroll class, please...by all means make one and faceroll us. Last I checked the majority of the marauders/sentinels on my server are terrible. Like you have probably seen anywhere else, against an equally geared opponent, ravage/masterstrike does not hit for ANYWHERE near 9k. I have seen it hit 10k on crits against players I know have 0 expertise....but than again ANY dps class will destroy those players.

  12. +100 =P OP: I'm pretty sure skilled marauders were mopping the floor with you pre-patch, and are still doing it. Guess what? Even if they nerf us......you will still get dominated by marauders. QQ less. Play more. I usually browse the forums to kill time at work, but it seems a lot of these forums posters literally live on the forums! 500+ posts and replies...... Imagine how much better you could be if you only spent that time playing the game instead of whining on the forums?
  13. Quite obviously you have no right to comment on this since you have no clue the mechanics of the class. TWO trees got a buff to make it somewhat viable to play over annhilation, although annhi STILL comes out ahead. Annhilation spec, which is what most marauders were using pre 1.2, got a SLIGHT utility nerf. The changes they made to obfu, mez, and interrupt not costing rage anymore is moot since I never had an issue with rage generation anyways. Ravage damage hits hard against targets lacking expertise, but is extremely difficult to maximize against players who know what they are doing. Against BM geared players....it hits WAY weaker. All people saw were the notes to the other trees being buffed and right away were like "omgomg marauders are getting such a huge buff omgomg". Ravage is stronger, yes.....but is also one of the EASIEST skills in the game to interrupt. Just like the bounty hunters death from above. Its easy as hell to spot, easy to interrupt. Difference is it's aoe vs single target. I laughed for a long time after your post. Thank you for that. I actually have everything keybound to 1 button and continuously spam it to win warzones.
  14. The bad inq/consulars can go down very very easy, i do agree on that point. However, those are mainly the same ones who use knockback seemingly for no reason, dont sprint away,and sit in front of melee casting force lightning trying to outdps him head to head. I laugh every time I see sages and sorcs fighting it out at the middle of huttball, nowhere near something to LoS, nothing to knock anyone off of, etc.

I dont think i've ever died in 6-8 seconds unless i was opened on by two operatives or scoundrels at the same time. 3-4 seconds for a 2v1? maybe against targets with NO expertise....quit exaggerating. I dont get why people think this game is supposed to be God mode? it's pvp.....people are supposed to die. Guess what?! you respawn!!!!!
  16. I think you just hit the nail in the head there with your comment. Yes, 2 players bursting me down does sound about right. If I am by myself, and I get focused by 2 or more players, yes...I fully expect to die. I don't play this game to play God mode and go through an entire warzone with no deaths. There have been countless times on warzones where I know I'm going to die....and do everything I can to just SLOW the enemy down...snares, slows, etc to give my team enough time to respond or counter. Where do you get the expectation of seeing 2 or 3 dps focusing you, and expect to live? That is just an unreasonable expectation...a product of people getting used to the gameplay pre1.2 where you could have 2-3 healers keeping EVERYTHING up in a game, including each other.... And you forget...while you are being "focused" down by the 2+ DPS, what is the rest of your team doing? Hopefully scoring or capping since they now have 2 or more players preoccupied with focusing you down. Do you use warzone healthpacks and LoS? Do you call out you need help? Do you run to teammates to help instead of trying to faceroll the marauder or scoundrel in front of you? The good healers on my server do notice the difference in PVP, but yet they still win games for us. I know their skill cap is higher so they have it a little easier than some random players or casuals out there, but that is where skill comes into play. Are there tweaks they can add to make the gameplay more balanced? Absolutely. Is 1.2 healing the end all the world is coming to an end for healers? Absolutely not. Healing just now actually requires skill and critical thinking instead of rolling your face across your keyboard. And to your question about 3 dps pounding on a target , whether it sounds like skill to me? I have a question in response to that.....What is that 1 target doing seperated from his entire team? Or did the team of 3 dps focusing down outplay the other team to eventually corner that 1 target and focus him?
  17. If you even remotely understood anything I was writing, you would notice the post was directed towards the QQ of the people saying the rewards are STILL NOT fine. Although not much more can be expected I guess. I see most your posts...all within 24 hours (and there are quite a few in that time frame) are calling for nerfs to "OP" classes (which is probably every class other than the one you play), and that healers get "1 shot" or "2shot". We can all agree, huge exaggerations. I see all kinda of posts from healers saying the world is falling apart and healers are not viable in pvp anymore, but all the good healers on my server still win matches with their healing... Just some friendly advice: Maybe you will enjoy the game more if you spend more time playing, and less time posting 500+ posts about what needs to be fixed in this game. That is biowares job, let them do it.
  18. I honestly don't know what it will take to appease some people. I thought the rewards after 1.2 were fine, even for a losing steamrolled team, which I have been on a few times as well. It actually encouraged me to play well and win...instead of being baited out to finish off a kill, I now stay on the objective points, etc. It also encouraged the entire TEAM to do well. THere were people I never got along with and we would trash talk each other prior to 1.2,but after the patch, we actualy worked TOGETHER in ops chat so we don't lose and get the tiny amount of rewards. BW acted quickly and deployed a patch due to the horrendous amount of QQ'ing and whining out there, and some people STILL aren't happy. Would you like them to just in-game mail you a 2k warzone comms and 100k credits just for logging on? Eh, flame on.

But when you start making wild claims like "THE MOST OP IN ANY MMO EVER" that is when I'm going to decide the person posting is just as ignorant as anyone on here. How many MMO's have you played exactly? Now, say you do happen to be an MMO god and have played them all....surely you have played wow. Ret pallys running around healing themselves, immunity bubble, plate armor, etc etc. sound familiar? Or in warhammer, the bright wizard......at least when i was playing they were able to pretty much destroy packs of enemy players solo. Also dropping group was more beneficial because of the ridiculous amount of damage they did. I'm not saying we have anything in common with the two previous examples, just sayin....dont make outrageous claims such as the one you just made. Thats whats wrong w/ the internet. I understand you want to make your point, but no need to resort to making wild claims to get ur point across. Ok, and Best no cast heals? last i checked sorc's also had an ability to give them back health on dot crits just like marauders. OOO, and the bubble counts towards healing done, omg! Great CC? Last i checked we have one channeled force choke in a semi-long CD, and an aoe fear that breaks upon damage done to any target. Maybe if you are carnage spec you get an extra snare with talent points. Everyone, do me a favor. Look back at the forum history from day 1. There is nothing but constant crying about other classes being OP. Operatives, than mercs, than sorcs, i swear i've seen posts about EVERY advanced class claiming they are OP. Do I get annoyed and frustrated when I spend half a warzone stunned/snared/mezz'd/ knocked back/pushed/ grappled into fire, etc? Hell yeah i do, but that doesnt mean every *********** class that is CC'ing me is OP. Just the way the game is designed. Deal with it and play. You guys are paying a subscription to PLAY the game, so stop spending all your time here and get better already.

And with your logic, you seem to be implying that sents/ mar shouldn't post on this thread? even though it is about.....SENT/MAR, and who better to know how the class works than.....THE PEOPLE WHO PLAY THEM! jesus.... And look at my post history. I dont post much but seems like I comment on marauders..omg! Even back in December/January when the topics were "Does marauder get any better?" "Marauders bad at pvp?" "Should I even stick with this class?" "Why jugg over mara"? I think you get the point. And if you are this passionate about mara/sent being OP....whats keeping you from rolling one? I don't mind people who claim mara/sent are OP and than post RELEVANT facts or evidence, but pretty much th is entire thread I've seen nothing but crying and gross exaggeration from you, backed up by.....NO FACTS. screen shots, or hell, ANYTHING. Think...out of the 40+ pages on t his thread....and countless people with the same opinion as you, why do I single YOU out? Just think about it.....it'll come to you, maybe. And you replied to my post literally within 5 minutes. You really need to get off the forums and play this game or something. Seriously....you get better at the game by PLAYING, not constantly QQ'ing in forum posts.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^ exactly. I played as a carnage marauder 1-50, played carnage pvp for a few weeks, than switched to annhilation, never looked back. The class itself was great, huge dps, some survivability and mobility. At the same time, the pubs on my server instantly recognize me in warzones and I am (feels like it anyways), first to be stunned, knocked back, pulled into fire/acid, force pushed, Snared with a full resolve bar (stupidest **** ever for melee) etc... Some warzones I really do feel like a rag doll, but I can still dish out extreme dps. Was the class 100% balanced? Probably not, but it sure felt pretty close. Now when I first saw the patch notes come out, I thought we were getting a HUGE buff, but if you actually READ the changes, they pretty much just made other specs viable outside of annhilation/watchmen. I see people QQ"ing about ravage.......and although it may hurt when used in the right rotation, it is probably one of the easiest moves to counter. First off, the animation is such that anyone in the vicinity WILL know when you are casting ravage Second, Very easy to tell when a ravage is coming, as Gore needs to be used before ravage in order to maximize the damage Third, it is EXTREMELY EASY TO "INTERRUPT" ....I know ravage can't be interrupted by a standard interrupt, but any stun or knockback will completely negate the burst from a carnage marauder. So if you see a marauder using gore, and you stun or knockback, guess what? BURST IS GONE FOR 30 SECONDS!!!!! SO until the next gore/ravage combo is up again, all a carnage marauder can do is massacre you (which hits like limp noodles), and they can use gore and force scream for a 2k-4k crit on force scream...ONCE. The argument about what happens if cooldowns are down is totally ridiculous......as it is a two way street. IF I, as a marauder, don't have my CC break or force camo up when an operative/scoundrel opens on me, I'm pretty much dead before the stun wears off. Does that make operatives/scoundrels OP? I think not.....you just need to learn how to counter classes/abilities better. Last I checked, overload ( knockback), for sage and sorc was 20 seconds. Even with just that ONE ability, they should be able to negate EVERY single gore+ravage combo with the knockback. ANd we all know sorc's have a closet full of CC. On a side note, as soon as 1.2 hit, I went back to carnage to see the difference. Carnage did get a lot better, but definitely not OP, just viable.... I did pretty awesome damage against players not in full battlemaster, but whenever we played a decent team or a pub premade, my productivity definitely took a hit. Against the pub premade especially, I think I would get off maybe ONE or TWO gore + ravage combos in an entire round as they were constantly countering it with a nicely timed knockback or stun. Now, Annhilation spec (which most marauders played pre 1.2), got a slight nerf in utility, but I believe is still the strongest spec. As soon as I went back to annhilation spec, my dps went up at least 100k... Carnage and Rage spec are very viable now, but I think they are more support classes. annhi seems to be the strongest single target dps still. Carnage came a long way, but still struggles against competent players as it is very easy to counter...... I really do think though that within a week or two things will calm down a bit. I believe that the 1.2 changes brought a totally different pace of play to pvp, which people need time to adapt to. Also, I'm pretty sure a lot of people getting facestomped and "oneshot" by marauders, as well as any other class, pretty much just has a big gear disadvantage. W/ the changes to expertise, I'm willing to bet a lot (not all) of the players who are QQ'ing have at least a few hundred expertise less. Maybe they changed the mods in the BM gear and didnt change it back before patch so the expertise bonuses didnt apply? And lastly, MikeDee........your posts made me laugh...quite a bit. Instead of constantly QQ'ing in the forums, why don't you spend that time learning to get better at your class? The first 8 pages alone all i saw was gross exaggerations, and when someone makes a legit request and asks you to post SS'.......you reply in a way that just wrecks your credibility. GG
  23. Ehhh, the penalties ARE harsh, but after 30+ warzones today, im thinking its pretty fine. Its not like the winners get HUGE comms either, only about 90 - 100 or so. THe biggest thing that annoys me is that warzones do not shut down anymore. This resulted in a 0 reward scenario this morning when it was 3 v 8 for literally about 5 minutes. I of course kept attacking, got a few kills, ended up w/ top medals on my team @ 3, was the only one w/ any kills on my team, and ended up w/ 0 credits, 0 commendations. I dont mind a challenge, but when a warzone continues to roll 3 v 8 w/ no shutdown...seems kinda stupid to me.
  24. I am not in favor of cross server ques, but I am however, thinking that a limited x-server ques might work with "sister" servers. Example, grouping up maybe 2, 3 at the MOST, servers for cross server, thus shortening que times across all servers, and still keeping some semblance of rivalries.
  25. Sorry but no matter what spec, you shouldn't be using assault and vicious slash that much. I top 300k damage and 80k healing as annhi spec consistently, and i know assault and vs I only use a handful of times in each wz. I played carnage a ton and w carnage would be priortizing ba for rage, gore + ravage or force scream, and massacre. Vs should never be used in carnage spec. For annhi, u get rage from dot ticks and charge w no min range, as well as ba, so assault shouldn't be needed a whole lot. Once u get going, you cqn also use annhilate once every 7.5 sec so you don't want to be blowing all your rage on vs. At best I would use assault and vs MAYBE 4 or 5 times per match? Depending on how the wz is going of course. I also notice that if in playing fresh 50s, my dps suffers since I can destroy them before my dots get a chance to do a full rotation, so I usually pick non-squishy targets to pdot up and destroy for the most dps uptime.....let my teammates gave fun 3 shotting fresh meat. =) Edit: sorry, didn't notice he was replying to a lvl 11 marauder.
