  1. What can I say. Dark side is evil. Not like "steal candy from baby" -evil, but true hardcore evil. The fact that you feel bad about some options only shows that you are not that evil (irl). And that is a good thing. I personally try to keep in mind that it's not me making this (icouldn't) but my char.
  2. If this game dies, you can pretty much say goodbye to MMOS. I mean if you can't have BW (one of the greatest game designers) and Star Wars IP ( a huge IP) succeed at making an MMO + subs than who can? If SWTOR dies so well sub MMOS plain and simple, no publisher will ever devote money to it, unless the developer's name starts with B and ends with D.

Agreed. I have not lost hope on the games, but I have lost hope on the players.

  3. There has been threads about new species where people can suggest new species. Cathar was one of the most wanted in there. If you don't like it, blame democracy. And yeah... my thanks to Bioware that we are getting a new species in the first place. Imo Cathar is not a bad one at all.
  4. First time when bios came to the site, that introduced some central characters, there was "independent" in the middle. I thought back then that you could drop out from the Imps-reps cycle also in the game, but it seems to be damn hard. For bounty hunters and smugglers independent working with either side or even out of them should be possible. My proposal is factions (like in AoC). There could be point system in the game that would give you "faction affection" (or whatever you want to call it) according to players actions. This would determine the popularity or unpopularity of the character among factions like Hutts, Mandalorians, The Exchange etc... And if possible, even among Republic and Empire.

If you for example have +126 or something on Hutts, you could work for hutts. But if you have -256 on hutts, their guards will open fire on you on sight. Just a thought. Actions on quests could give the points in similar manner than light/dark side points now.

  5. I'm only playing SWTOR because it's Star Wars but sometimes it just feels like Bioware doesn't care about us.

We don't need christmas events. We don't need easter events. But we do need something on the 4th of May.

It's STAR WARS day for a reason.

I agree on this. This is not a christmas game, nor it is easter game, but it is a Star Wars game. And I don't mean anything big to game. I'm happy for something similar we used to have on fridays here on forums.

  6. Dark side... Dark side is about power, or should I say lust for power. You want more of it, and eventually all of it. Once you get a glimpse that power, it gives you thrills. Then you come down, and want more that power. It is like a drug you know. How you get that power? By not holding back, releasing all the anger and hate within you and let it fill your veins, muscles and head. That anger will develope into hate. That hate gives you more strength and that power you so much wanted. Then it get's twisted... You want more and more, and in order to get more, you have to brake more lines. And so starts the master and puppet cycle. The dark side and all the hate eats you and makes you suffer, but at the same time the feeling of power gives you pleasure... lots of pleasure. It's sadomasochism in it's purest form. And when you kill, slay and make others feel pain and horrors, you can feel the darkness around you, and the darkness feeds your power, and that power gives you more pleasure.

And so... you will see this transformation in Jaesa. She has held back all her life, and now that she feels the freedom and power for the first time, it gives her such a thrill, that she is running towards darkness. To much too fast gives an extra factor for the sickness of it all.
