  7. They're probably talking about something that already exists in the game as of 5.2 and will continue as a tradition. If you kill the enemy Tyth in Veteran mode there will be a chance (Not guaranteed to drop) the platinum rarity item Tythian Lightsaber Pike will drop for the players to roll for and obtain. This item is also obtainable as a platinum rarity drop for a couple of cartel packs. This means you'll have three ways to obtain new platinum items. Obtain it out of a pack via random chance, obtain it off the GTN for a lot of credits from someone who got one from a pack, or obtain it through hard content. EDIT: Here is an example of someone finding it on Tyth HM. This was posted on reddit by Jushyfruit a month ago.
  8. We are still looking for 2 DPS (looking to fill at least one melee spot). If you are in at least 236 (240 preferred) and meet the requirements listed above please mail either myself or IsisSirius here or respond to this thread.
  9. Flashpoints are getting buffed as well CXP wise. They buffed the gold mobs to only 2CXP. They did mention something about heroics on if people want this then they're more likely to buff heroic CXP then just mob CXP. They also think Master mode, when it comes out, will be a good source of CXP but they'll continue to monitor the situation.
  10. I don't think they considered the mob farming an exploit that should be punished, so those people are left okay. The only ones who are going to be punished are those who used the jawa junk exploit. That's probably a small number and won't change most of the people who got close to tier 100.
  11. There is truth to this but at this moment I'm not sure if no response is better then any response. If they admit the CXP is busted, they are looking at ways to possibly increase group content CXP or perhaps find ways to ease the grinding experience at any way would at least point to them agreeing with us that the CXP grind is messed up. At multiple points players like me have brought up armorings need to not be just bound to chest because we have a ton of RNG to deal with now, this isn't fair. People have brought up recently the Warzones/PvP beat any form of grinding since it's easier to form those up then take the time to do a SM operation or harder. At this point I don't think anyone has done the veteran uprisings much since there is no point to them at all CXP wise. Now taking away the CXP from mobs and adding the CXP boost only made matters worse for people. While I may have differing opinions on some things here and there it is easy to note that the community is enraged. I do not envy the bioware team but they still need to talk. It is the job of community management to manage the community a bit. Some of the places on r/swtor with a lot of comments is involving rage over the CXP nerfs, CXP boosts and a thread asking about who is unsubscribing. We even had the likes of Dulfy, who rarely mentions anything opinion wise on /r/swtor, joining in once to talk about Bioware's decisions. Bioware needs to talk because the storm has already arrived.
  12. One thing I was thinking about when it comes to the tokens given out by the GC crates is what if we had one vendor, just one, but he had these other boxes. The boxes are called something like “Tier 2 Shadow Gear – Tank” from the republic vendor and “Tier 2 Assassin Gear – Tank” for the empire vendor. Person purchases said box for a specific number of tokens then they will have this bound on pickup box in their inventory. When they open it, a completed mission pops up and it will have a selection of rewards which you can only pick one. These will be the pieces of gear that drops from the boxes but now you can pick which one you need. For newer players who may get lost, which was one of the reasons the multiple vendors were removed, they will now know which gear is good for them because they picked the box that was meant for their playstyle. For a way to make it easier for other characters to be geared up perhaps these tokens should be bound to legacy. Every box you open will have a set number of tokens being given out but as you go up tiers it will give you the new tier 2 tokens while also giving out older tier 1 tokens. Make the tier 3 gear require a lot more tokens since you still want to make these take a while to get but allowing tier 1 to be somewhat cheaper than tier 2 and 3 will allow players to send these tier 1 tokens to alts so they can get them geared up quickly.
  13. Bioware should say something, anything, at this moment. Right now, people are angry. I may not be angry as others, I’m quite neutral on the CXP boosts and the idea of the grind in theory doesn’t bother me as much as the RNG itself bothers me, but seeing people yelling at the heavens because they want to quit subbing is a huge issue for me. Why is it a huge issue for me? Subscribing is the only way for people to do level 70 warzones and Operations now. Without subscribers, the amount of people I can play with dwindles. The amount of people I could possibly recruit, if I was to restart my old guild, would be limited by this. If I can’t have fun because of people leaving thanks to these choices, then what is it worth to me for subscribing if I can’t find people to play with? Does Bioware want to keep the GC system? So be it, but make changes to it so players don’t feel like their progression is meaningless. Add tokens back to the boxes themselves, or something similar, so we can pick which ones we want. Make it so group PvE content gets far more CXP then it currently does. Make it so we can move armorings around and not have them bound to chest or what have you since RNG is too strong and I hate the idea I got two headpieces so far and I can only use it for one thing. Bioware do something and talk with the community. They are enraged right now. Try to calm the masses now so if you happen to have something cool in the future, like if you were planning a new operation for that stream, so you still have players to do that content. I want people to come into SWTOR and have fun, I don’t want people to leave.
  14. Mine is bugged too. Finished KotET and all other alliance alerts. Her's did not pop up and I haven't used the token to unlock early.
  15. The nerf was needed, though I feel CXP still should be increased from the other rewards. Heroics only giving 20 feels weak in comparison to the biggest mobs. Perhaps 40 would do better, or 50. Something that feels bigger then just one simple mob.
  16. I personally love the idea of the new flair system. It is an easy thing to show off, it isn’t only out occasionally like a mount, and the ones that exist look cool. However, we only have two types so far in this game. Legendary Status and the three Galactic Command tiers. I think Bioware Austin should expand on this and bring them to old and newer content in this game. I believe that Nightmare raids should, if you get an achievement for accomplishing it, reward you with a flair that shows off that you did said operation. They could also introduce it in the upcoming Master Uprisings if they are challenging enough but I still believe older NiM raids need them to further incentivize players playing this content. If you want to go one step further and reward players even more for achievements then maybe a second slight variation for said flairs that you get from the “Less than one hour” achievements. Even if they already beat NiM/Master I doubt most of the victors gotten those achievements. It would be a cheaper extra reward that wouldn’t take too much of the stuido’s artists compared to making a fancy mount for the achievements. Ranked should also achieve these as rewards at the end of a season. I’m unsure if players would prefer it being an unlockable via a vendor for a lot of tokens or be specific to top tier players only, that’s up for Bioware to decide in the end, but the idea of also showing off your prestige with a unique flair would probably be another welcomed reward by the PvP community. Now I won’t say “These should be the only rewards!”, no, but I think these could be cheap additional rewards that Bioware can implement to the game while also allowing the players to further show off their skill to everyone. The system is in place so I would love to see Bioware Austin tackle something like this.
  17. It all depends on the animation of Searing Wave, right? Gameplay wise I see why it got changed. They don't want melee standing still anymore. It would be upsetting, however, if the animation still wasn't as cool or better then the old one.
  18. Died during a flashpoint for me. Was odd seeing everyone was able to still talk but not move.
  19. Gree event just ended a while ago after being up for two weeks and the Bounty hunter event is up now. Personally I have only the Rakghoul event needed, event wise, for DvL. I was wondering if there is any official confirmation of the upcoming events for those who haven't completed DvL yet.
  20. This doesn't help at all though. While it helps with vanity purposes it can't help with the issue of RNG really messing with you. I think removing that requirement of it needing to be moved to similar pieces of gear would allow the system to feel a lot more rewarding since I won't feel as bad getting Bracer #6.
  21. My few questions are the following: 1: I am assuming bosses will be effected by level scaling? Since level scaling is never perfect, as things designed around this level were in mind for a person having multiple abilities, will the bosses be in higher leveled planets thanks to this or will bosses at least be balanced so even with lower stats they still prove a challenge? 2: You said you were still thinking about it but RNG is still a huge factor in gearing. Will you remove the armoring restriction so even if I get a belt i can still put it on a chest piece and get my set bonus? 3: I think you answered my question but I'm not sure. Just for clarification if I was to do every content in the game, which is all the SM/HM/NiM ops (meaning doing all the difficulties) and anything else in this game will I hit the cap?
  22. Will OP Group finder still be in rotation and will the hardest HM Operations give out more "points" compared to Eternity Vault and Karraga's Palace? I ask about EV and KP because they are very much at a different difficulty level in comparison to the other raids and would be quickly used to farm Hard Mode Op points and most likely be the most popular choices.
  23. <Zenshot> is still looking for new recruits. If interested in getting into HM take a look at both our teams and see which one would fit your interests best.
  24. An Update: Team Phoenix is currently looking for a new healer. If this interests you please apply on the website and get in contact with Reofeir either in game or on the website.
