  1. First of all, I am really glad that Keith took the role he did. Communication is much better now, I start to feel that the Devs are looking at feedback and are trying to react as much as they can. The roadmap is also a good start to sail the ship into the right direction. Not saying that this will take the game out of the storm completely, but at least it will leave the eye of the storm for some nicer waters. One can only hope for more content, but the lack of resources really take it's toll on this. I welcome the new additions, the QoL improvements and the small things. Of course, faster Operations output would be even better, but this is something to start with. Really interested how the GSF changes will turn out (looking at you Gunship Fortresses) and what will be coming with Class Balances. From another point, there are a few things I really miss: - new species - new player character customizations or simply adding the ones already exist to other species (hairstyles, tattoos and so on for every species) - addressing the decoration issue discussed here on the forums - utility loadouts (hope this will be a part of QoL improvements too) I know a new class will not like to happen, but there could be some solutions to bridge the gap, like starting from lvl 50-60-65, with the story starting from KOTFE / KOTET. As a whole, I am happy that Keith took over, it feels like he really takes care of the game's fate - even with the supposed skeleton crew generating new content. Wish EA would give the game a chance and invest or put back some money into it so developing and creation could be on a larger scale. Unfortunately, we all know EA well enough.
  2. One more idea came up to my mind: Planetary Decoration Vendors Daily areas already have some of the specific planetary / area decorations. Why not extend this to all planets? Put a vendor in and for credits we can get planet-specific decorations, which are not of the "OMG this is marvelous" type, but something like: - general clutter items (barrels, containers, machinery) - planet-specific furniture - this is already done partially for Voss, you can get nice Voss-themed furnitures from the vendor - plants and other environmental decos - personnel with the planet's clothing style, natural inhabitants, etc. The point is that all of these items are in the game and I guess it would take much less time to implement them as decos as making new ones. Credits, prefabs - would be also beneficial for the markets to ramp up crafting a bit. Of course, no need to roll them out all-in-one. Let's say, 2 planets for each monthly game update with the Republic / Imperial decoration counterparts. There are a lot of ways to add new content using the already existing ones, I guess this would be one of the things many players would welcome. I may be dreaming, but I'd love to see smaller apartments added to planets which you can also decorate. A 2-3 roomed small place to stay with taxi landing pads. I'm imagining something like Kaliyo's apartment. Oh, the many things I could do with this game... (and I will not start on ideas for operations or PVP)
  3. I get your point, but decos are about the same drop rate as everything else and those also sell well (except for the crappy things nobody wants). Same as for armors, mounts and weapons: you buy one and if you want to use it on more toons, you unlock them - especially if they are of the expensive ones. The system itself is one-way just as you said and I fully agree on this. Honestly, I don't think it will ever change. And one thing I forgot to mention: it would be nice to see the decoration vendors updated regularly with some items which are not the "fancy Cartel Pack" types. Either for prefabs or credits, I don't care, just throw in some from time-to-time. I'd also like if there'd be a possibility to include my toons as personnel in my strongholds. New strongholds will certainly bring some new general decos, but hey...
  4. Haven't read all the replies, but why not just make the decorations part of Collections? Let people unlock them with CC, it's a win-win for everyone (you get decos, BW gets cash). Take out the +prestige coming from collections-redeemed decos so it will not mess up the prestige-system. Or just make a "Decorations Collection" where you can buy additional copies for CC if you have one copy already. Something like this: Bronze - 25CC Silver - 50CC Gold - 100CC Of course, this would not solve the issue of long-gone and insanely expensive decorations, but it's a step at least. The other way to solve it is to sell decoration hypercrates of shipments. Like "Alliance Decorations Hypercrate" where all decos could drop from any of the Alliance Cartel Packs... Gives variety, but still somewhat themed so you can aim for the ones you desire the most. Just really don't know what would be the best distribution of items. 2-3-4 / pack? (I'd say 3 would be acceptable) Make it worth it, but don't make players get hundreds of bronze rubbish.
  5. First of all, I bought a Steadfast Champion hypercrate - shame on me. Including only 2 armor sets into the pack was a slap in the face in the first place. We talk about something that did not worked a year ago - eliminating bronze items and "now with more Grand Chance Cubes!" is offensive. With the price cut down to 3000CC I could live with this solution. What I got out of the crate was really disappointing: - only 2 gold items: 1 decoration and the IO-8 Companion - lot of crystals, 4 silver mounts and few blasters - at least I could put the silver armor set together Chance cubes were the usual bronze / silver quality items generally, best I got is a Pocket Sarlacc. That's all folks. No gold armor or mount drop, no flair, never even thought about a platinum rarity drop... Giving Rank 5 companion gifts is just insulting. At least these could be of Rank 6 quality since we have an awful lot of companions, but gifts became really scarce since the elimination of data crystals. The direction is worrysome as same as it was a year ago. Less new CM content in packs with awful drop-rates for even new items, more Chance Cubes. Elimination of bronze items should not mean the reduction of both gold and silver items (armors) to 1 per rarity. Why there aren't at least 2 gold and 2 silver armors per set? Why are there no Cartel Certificates at least instead of Chance Cubes with a drop rate like 20-80% (more for Cubes of course)? Companion customizations anyone? As I did last year, I will stop buying Cartel Packs from the Cartel Market until the issue is resolved. There are plenty of items I need to unlock with my monthly CC grant instead of buying coins to spend on hypercrates. I had issues with RNG in the past, but at least there was a possiblity to get some nice items for my money. Now I pay for less with even less chance. TL;DR Never understood this idea of going back to something which already failed once...
  6. Primeval Stalker set. Only one full set available on TRE for 190 millions and a few pieces of the armor for horrible amounts of credits.
  7. Made the same mistake... Curiosity killed the cathar. Let's hope for the best, we have nothing else but to do so.
  8. Instead of another tuning item, include this into the item modification station. Give them as new craftable items (like sound processor or I don't know). Armstech -> blaster sound mods Artifice -> lightsaber sound mods Or just divide them up, we have enough weapon types that all crafting skills could get one. Schematics could drop from end-bosses of Ops / buyable for Unassembled Components from vendors, so both PvE and PvP players would have access to them. Schematics would need some rare materials (like Void Matter Catalysts) so they would not flood the GTN in all-of-a-sudden. I think sound preview could also be done somehow with CTRL + Click on the schematic and playing the sound it gives... Anything they do, just don't include them as ultra-rare drops in CM packs which you cannot unlock in collections.
  9. Signing this, a thousand times. Especially after seeing the image Tenacity made. Apart from this, hairstyles and all should be available to all races where applicable. Generally, I'd really like to see more and more customization options for characters. Hell, even pay some CCs for them if profitability is the matter...
  10. Been doing dailies on Iokath, then stuck running against an invisible wall. Connection was full with 60ms ping, then tried restarting everything - stuck on loading screen since. Server status says standard load, guess something went wrong on login side?
  11. We could manage to kill it twice (8m and 16m) after a few resets, but the daily wasn't given to the whole raid on neither occasions -> needs fix also. For the note, when I've used aggro dump on my Sent / Mara while the droid was on me also caused it to reset.
  12. I'd totally agree with this, with the exception of Heroics giving components (effort / rewardwise). 5 per Planetary seems reasonable instead. Also, it would be really welcome if Operation bosses would drop some since the loot from them are completely random now. Doing an 8-man lockout on HM-Ops and not getting anything is not a fair trade. Had to kill 13 HM bosses to see our first random drop (even if it was in EV-KP which are easy, but RNG is RNG)... So 5 / boss for SM and let's say 10 / boss for HM, 15-20 / boss for NiM would at least give some additional push for people to do OPS (5.2 CXP correction is soooo far). But your basic idea is good, just thought about the same this weekend.
  13. Hiya, So, I was fortunate enough to get one of these Unstable Peacemaker’s Lightsabers out of the hypercrate. There seems to be an issue with the saber's sound... Overall it's very-very silent, you can't hear any of it during stand-still, combat, etc. All other sabers have a good volume, this one is barely heard when used. The general effects like hitting, clashing are OK, but the saber's own swinging and static sound volume is very-very low. I hope this is just a small bug and not the intended sound volume - you gotta hear it when you swoosh it!
  14. Hi Everyone, Okay, so as many of us veteran players know and experience, the GC is anything but a rewarding and acceptable system in it's current state. (for the note, I have a total of about 50 ranks on the 3 characters I play - out of a total of 26 toons -, all of them a Sentinel to speed up gearing progression). So far, I've found 2 pieces of set items - lucky me - plus tons of green and blue garbage I disintegrated. The weak point in this whole grind is that experienced, but not progression raiders (who already left about a year ago) are welcome to grind again from the bottom, and do months of SM raiding to finally get geared up for HM runs (and by this I'm not talking about EV or KP HM). I won't be crying back the days of High Priority Targets, where basically anyone could get top-tier gear without any effort just by farming EV and KP, but the current system is flawed from many points, let me collect my thoughts: 1. Set items are way too rare. I'm not good in anything involving RNG rewards (looking at you, cartel packs), but I can call myself somewhat lucky that I've found 2 pieces of set items in the 50 Command Crates I've opened. If I want to put a complete and optimized set together to start proper HM raiding, I'd need to open about 4-500 crates, not counting with any doubles I won't be needing. 2. This is just for one advanced class, what I can use on multiple alts of course, but then I'd need tank gear for my other toons, other dps gear for another, etc. You can say that there's always the possibility of crafting, but I guess people do not play raids and (old) end-game to craft half-good items. 3. No possibility for power-gearing newcomers or helping to gear up other alts. Need an HM-capable tank? Go on, and grind from Command Rank 1 on your exact toon. Even if you know how to set up your gear, know all the tacts and just need the proper equipment to start HM-content, you'll have to do everything from scratch. Okay, so, here's what I think, you can crash it, smash it, fight over it or whatever you wish, but maybe this would be one solution: Bring back the gear token vendors, and instead of giving us random artifact set item gear pieces, give us a token. One token above all, which can be freely used by the player to turn in for the exact gear piece they need. RNG is still a factor, but those numbers can be adjusted any time. I'd say a token per every 3 Command Crates would be nice and rewarding, but would still slow the gearing down (if that is the intent). This way you could be able to also gear up your alts without having to spend a few months of grind to get the minimum gear for them. I know there's barely any chance of re-implementing something like this, but for me, this seems to be the most fair and reasonable method the current system can offer. And as close-up, I'd raise the question: what will happen to this system once it's time for 6.0? (if we'll ever see that) Increase the ranks more? Reset the ranks and start again? Just think about it...
  15. Yeah, point is that you can't make a blaster pistol / rifle / sniper or assault cannon sooo flashy that it will generate immediate hype. I guess that if they'd introduce the Primordial Assault Cannon today, it'd be immediately platinum rarity. However, add "vented" or "unstable" prefixes and effects to a lightsaber and BOOM! Platinum rarity. I guess it won't be long until we see the Vented Unstable Lightsaber introduced as ultra-platinum rarity, dropping exclusively from Hypercrates with 0.5% rate and exclusive to 10 pieces / server as a total. It's a shame this is the direction, they should have had stick to the original bronze / silver / gold ratings and not towards greed for more cash.
