  1. Oh and let's not forget, not only can you not change the colors... you also cannot simply buy the colors you want from the market! No, when you buy a Dye pack it's luck of the draw!

Of course, probably the most sought after color BLACK is rare and ridiculously hard to find. Here's an idea: Give us the option to pick the color we want and buy it. Let us color ALL the colors of the armor piece. So many more people would spend money on this if you did it. What you're hoping for: to have each player spend money on multiple dye modules is not going to happen.

Umm... yes, that's exactly what going to happen..

  2. Excellent to hear it, and a very appropriate way to deal with the issue. Thank you.

Might I humbly request gold/silver and silver/gold dyes for the exclusivity? ;)

Eh.. that wouldn't be a good idea. Gold and silver, if they do come out, should be available to all. CE should not get a color that would be in extreme high demand. Not to say they shouldn't get a good color, just not one like that. Maybe a cooler version of a color already out there.

To be completely honest, I think CE players have gotten more than enough. They knew what they were getting when they purchased the CE edition at the start. Dunno why some people keep demanding they deserve more still. (Not saying you aredoing that. Just in general.)

  3. Are you saying you don't use the mouse even for camera control? The reason I ask is because id guess that about 80% of people use key bindings instead of clickin on each skill with the mouse. Its the norm for MMOs. Best bet is to keep the most used skills in reach and have out of combat skills anywhere else. Once you get all your skills you wll learn your classes rotation ( the best skills you use everytime in combat) and you'll realize you only need a few skills within easy reach.
  4. As much as it stinks, those people still have a right to those names. Wouldn't be fair to take them, since those people could want to come back to play. I think the best idea would be to offer something to players in exchange for names they are no longer using. Cartel coins, maybe.

Now this obviously wouldn't really work with people who no longer play, but it could have some success with people who have a low level toon they just don't use but have no reason to delete.

  5. Or...have most players not hit the brick walls yet?

Personally, I find it strange that people are up in arms about the cost of features that haven't even been added to the game yet when sizeable chunks of 2.0 remain broken. (like the missing speeder parts & uncompletable achievements - just 2 quick examples)

And few people seem to care. :rak_02:

I feel like this stuff should be a priority since it is "already advertised & paid-for" content.

I personally don't care at all about the achievement system. Never cared for it on xbox or the trophies on ps3 either. I think they are the worst kin of time sinks.

  6. Nothing in there does it say you cannot die regular armor. It's already assumed that you will be able to dye the regular armor obviously. If you could only dye crafted armor it wouldn't read

Modify the color of your armor sets with Dye Modules which can be applied to all crafted gear above Level 15 !

    it would read

Modify the color of your armor sets with Dye Modules which can only be applied to all crafted gear above Level 15 !

But they haven't said it that way. They are just reminding us that it can also be applied to crafted gear above level 15. No need to sweat :)

Although I agree with you on the conclusion, I don't agree with the logic concerning how they did/would state it. I think writng it the way they did was vague and misleading and should prob be cleaned up and clarified a bit.

  7. Chances are, if they were to add an Underwater World, it would likely be Manaan and how I see it happening is Players dock at the OS, then take a Shuttle down to a landing area and they can either do an Underwater [space] Mission where we control an Underwater Vehicle and basically do what we currently do in Space, but underwater, ending up at an Underwater City [Ahto City for example] and explore the areas of the City that hasn't flooded perhaps even fighting crazed Selkath.

That way, we are [technically] fighting underwater without having to fight in the water. If not an Underwater [space] Combat then perhaps a cutscene showing the Vehicle going from the water surface to a underwater docking bay that hadn't flooded.

But yeah, to actually fight underwater, would cause a lot of problems, from how Animations look to how exactly we are able to fight AND survive underwater without problems.

    Ermagahd rapture!?

  8. I admit, I am somewhat confused over why so many people think Voss would be such a great choice for a playable race. Sure, they look neat, but other than that I am just not seeing it. Reasons:

    1. Voss tend to have a unique speech pattern

    2. They seem to be an insular people ("outsiders", they call us) and are firmly neutral

    3. And the big one -- romance:

As a female smuggler, you can have a "fling" with your chaperone on Voss. After he recites some lovely poetry for you (very romantic/flirting), he mentions that he is married. When you questions him about it, he says something to the extent of: "Well of course I am married, how else could I be having these romantic thoughts about you? We Voss don't experience such feelings until after participating in the mating ritual. I hear you outsiders are different though? How strange." The video exists on youtube, if you are curious.

So, I can see that putting a wee bit of a monkey wrench into [flirt] options and the whole romance thing.

None of those points really matter, only because the voss would have the same voice actor as all the others. some. humdrum explanation of him being adopted by the imp/fleet would most likely be introduced on te website, or not qat all and people could just think that. All the races we have speak basic because of their backstory in game, so it'd be the same for that voss toon.

  9. Well the problem with this post is that people are ignoring the fact that a lot of the bad blood in the forums also comes from people calmly stating their issues with the game and getting bashed by fan boys. Not saying its everytime but that happenes just as much as people raging.

I personally think this game is doing well financially because of the CM but is not doing well in general. I know that sounds odd to say, but I think ignoring major bugs (inspect player, comp viewing, etc.) will catch up with them. Not gamebreaking, I know, but still major. Also, now that the CM has lost its new shine, they sould stop throwing in old recolored armor sets for 15 bucks. I guess what I'm saying is I don't see it lasting this way. Even the most patient people will get fed up with this.

Would like to be more clear but I'm on my phone, and its a pain. Anyway, I think that's what makes people so upset and gloomy about the game.

P.S. also seems to me that the game is gearing more towards newer players now rather than the people who have stuck with the game. Makeb is a + but has been in the making since launch.

  10. Hate to say it man, but they are horrible when it comes to bugs. Inspecting someone elses gear still sometimes shows you your own gear. Viewing outfits fr your companion still only shows their feet. The /r bug has been around since launch. That's just the obvious ones off the top of my mind. Not to mention the gradual decrease in fps in general. Seems they are too busy making "new" (recolored) armor for the CM.
  11. If you're not forced, then you ought to be. The distinction made between PVE and PVP servers is artificial, and one of the many outmoded tropes of MMOs that need to be well and truly done away with in order for the genre to survive.

Ridiculous comment to make. No one should be forced into pvp. The distinction between pvp servers and pve servers is absolutely fine. Most people on a pve server would disagree with you. Please don't force your opinions on others. If peopl don't want to pvp, they shouldn't have to.

Infact, in my opinion I think pvp is an outmoded trope. Mmos think they need it and a lot of the times its half assed (look at defiance). However, its justmy opinion. For those who enjoy it, more power to you.

  12. Its the fact Bioware are focusing everything on F2P And doing nothing for subs...theyre focusing too much on the CC store because thats their main source of income now. :/

They're not focusing on f2p though. They're focusing on the cartel market, which is seperate from both f2p and subbers. It was bound to happen. Kinda wish the cm never existed, even at the cost of the game

  13. Afternoon folks.

I was wondering earlier how dailies became to be a staple of most end game content in mmos. I realize that there are not a lot of options when it comes to end game, and you're going to end up repeating content. However, do you guys think maybe adding some variety with random variables could help? Maybe the amount/type of mobs, what your goal is, etc.

Obviously even these could get repetitive, but I'm just trying to think of ways that could help spicen up dailies. What dl you guys think?

  14. And how's your MMO coming along?

    ......

    Exactly.

    *resumes reading newspaper*

This is a stupid response. Just because most of us can't make an mmo doesn't mean the ones we pay for can be shoddy quality. I'm also experiencing pausing betwee combat animations, and I have a great computer. Neer had this issue with the gamebefore. Also had an fps drop in ev hm which is again new. Its bad coding and bugs.

  15. The Star Wars terrestrial component of this game is fully fleshed out and awesome yet its space combat system is over-simplistic so as to not even be closely on par to the rest of the hard work done creating this game. Eve online on the other hand has directly the opposite problem. It has a well thought out space combat / campaign system but no real terrestrial character play to be thought of. Why not simply outright merge the two or adopt a space play system on par with that game here. I guarantee you if this game had both of these aspects in place it would dominate the with a completely cut out niche of its own. Anyhow that's my personal opinion here. An observation that rings true to me the more I think on it.

I like this idea. However, I thinkeve may be a little too complex. How about the sta trek online model? Crew members become companions. Id only want that for exploration though. Id like tie fighter combat for the combat.

  16. and if he leaves you will have to deal with having all that gear and not having anyone to kill.vicious circle there cowboy.

Not really, since the guy doesn't play withothers, he probably doesn't pvp, and I'm guessing is on a pve server.

  17. We probably would never make a non-English speaking player race. I know it seems attractive, but simply put, hearing alien for way too long drives you crazy. An early build of the game had Tython populated by a race other than Twi'leks, and after about the fourth quest, you want to put a fist through your monitor.

So any races we add in the future will need to plausibly be able to speak basic.

Eh... it might be better to let the players decide what annoys them and what doesn't. I'm sure many people wouldn't mind wookie noises at all if given the chance

  18. In my opinion, they really need to stop throwing out reskins of old armor. Like one of the guys said earlier, they have STARWARS to take from. So many options. It's really coming off to a lot of people as lazy and half assed on biowares part.

Also in my opinion, it seems like the artists make a bunch of items on paper, figure out which designs are the worst ones, then put them in the game. I don't want my sin tank to look like swampthing. I don't want my smuggler to look like a cowboy. Please give us better gear, or get rid of the artists and the guy who approves the designs and hire new/better people.

Why can 't we have the good gear shown at character creation and in the videos from a while back?

For once, make the RIGHT decision. Common sense = money in this case.
