  1. All of the future objectives are out there for the browsing. There is an instance where you are rewarded 1k (500x2) for playing and an additional 2k (1kx2) for winning, but it certainly isn't every week. And if you are in a situation where you are getting rolled by ranked-geared players, what's the point of prolonging the time it takes you to get your 1k?
  2. Look at two weeks from now from an alts perspective. 16k from 4 ops (assuming you're on the right planet), no GF required. HOWEVER, you have to be careful not to screw yourself out of the GF Ops by getting a lockout before the GF option becomes available (and you can only see the current and next options). A possible 12k from GF Ops if you match everything up right. (and HOPE that the first two GF options are among the 4 for the week so you can plan them, otherwise you're waiting till, what, Thursday before you know what the final GF ops is during the conquest) Oricon or Section-X: 3k from that Planet's weekly and 1k from the other weekly. A possible 32k of once-a-week points per character if you get all 3 GF operations chances and run the other 4 ops. With a small bonus, you'd probably be set and it doesn't sound bad for a single character. I don't see myself running 40 ops in 6 days (though I did have a plan between crafting and Voss heroics this week to not burn out). I know most of my guildiies don't have enough alts to keep up with me, so, even if I could do that many operations, I'd end up pugging a lot of that which would greatly reduce the likelihood of me getting those 40 ops done. Ooh, don't forget Crafting: 500 per War Supply (kind of back to being a slap in the face after this week).
  3. Repeatable or not, PVP players get to continue doing exactly what they've always done. Queue, PVP, repeat. The PVE crowd is forced to do (assuming level 55) sub-level content or one to two at level flashpoints a day. We looked at our (shoddy) PVE options last week and chose to grind out the HM FPs with bonus boss. It at least made sense to be doing BoI/FE since they were based on Ilum and that's where we were attacking. We also decided it wasn't something we wanted to do week in and week out (before it was taken away) . . . unlike the PVP crowd who continues doing what they've always done. So many people come back with the idea that we're on the wrong planet if we're competing with the PVP crowd. We aren't competing with the PVP crowd, but they sure are supplementing their guilds who are on these planets with a whole lot of points while not actually doing anything special to do so. Sure, they're only earning 500 points per match, but it is something they were already doing and, I might add, probably enjoying as opposed to being forced to run random flashpoints through GF (which, I honestly do not enjoy) or getting sub-par points for running an operation (which I can do . . . every 3 days or so per character?) So, yes, I went into GSF to finish out my points on a few characters. That 5 minutes per 1k vs. ??? per 2k was a better deal (and, yes, I mean 5 minutes from the start of the timer, not including the pre-match wait). At that point, that's all I was there for since those characters were not my regulars for GSF (which I do enjoy, when the mood strikes). This week? I'm driving all the f*ck over Voss getting to the widespread heroics. Burning through however much HP is in there while they can't even touch me. Sooooo exciting. I'm glad I have a couple dozen datacron decos to show for my efforts. I'll probably just craft my way out of several characters and then go back to actually running stuff that helps me decorate my money sink / stronghold.
  4. Shoot one time, hit something, problem solved. Pre-made or late into match and it it trip-capped. Leave match. Oops, arena. Leave match. Lopsided. Leave match. I've seen people leave in the last 30 seconds of a match often enough. We don't need to incentivize them to leave earlier because the entire match is a waste of their time with no reward. Stand around for defender medals while self-healing, problem solved. Except for those days when you get both dailies done with nothing but losses and you did it because you just needed those last few WZ comms for your next piece. Otherwise, you'd have walked away. I've had it happen and seen it happen to friends who were in top-tier PVP gear at the time (and actually ran through 3 characters' dailies with no wins). You can't control the teams and this pie in the sky view where you should always be able to win 1 in 3 is nonsense. Certainly a good way to drive people out of warzones.
  5. Still wrong. There is 1 Ilum Heroic per day per character, unless we can do cross-faction heroics. The Balmorra heroics are basically a wash with PVP (for those 4000 points) due to travel time across the planet but that doesn't count time spent going back and doing the bonus series to unlock some of them. And, again, WTH do Heroics on Balmorra have to do with conquering Ilum? At the end of that 11,500 points (23 WZ matches, which, in theory, could be done in around 2 hours), they are left with . . . what? PVP? GSF? The way it was made sense. Do the FPs on the Planet you're trying to conquer. It was a great way to get people back into those specific ones. Forcing us into a random FP doesn't tie into the idea at all and this one per legacy stuff makes it very alt-unfriendly whether you want to admit it or not. I still don't have 30 hours a day on the days I can play to get them to their goals. If they had to make the FP itself once per legacy due to a total lack of decent coding, fine, but make the bonus HM boss repeatable because it actually required you to kill things.
  6. What part of "get a respectable amount of conquest points to support my alts" did you not understand? I've accepted that we may not get any guild conquest rewards after this week, but I'd still like to get more personal rewards (the fun that I am doing this for) and that doesn't looks like it will be happening with these once-per-legacy limits. I've put a fair amount of time into doing legitimate BoI runs, but today I'm finding out that a good chunk of my characters probably won't be able to do all of the Balmorra heroics because they didn't doing the bonus series. More time wasted doing something I didn't want to do in the first place. As for growing the guild, that hard cap of 500 pretty much precludes that. Driving all over Balmorra is not hard, it certainly isn't fun, but the rewards are pretty much useless and the credits are a joke. And, no, I can't get 6k a day without going back and unlocking a bunch of low level garbage missions. So, there is even less incentive to do these because they are spread out and more of a drag than doing BoI/FE where I could at least get some decorations that I like. Meanwhile, the PVP crowd doesn't have to do *anything* different. Great incentive. Absolutely. All the push for multiple characters with Legacy bonuses and then this. I don't have 30 hours a day to PVP or run around a mid-level planet trying to feed and care for my alts. If I could have at least been able to do one of the Ilum FPs on each character each day (HM, with bonus boss for more deco chances), that would have been doable and it would have let me hit the personal goal across multiple characters without running to a planet that has nothing to do with Ilum . . .
  7. It isn't "scared to try in PvP," it is "get tired of getting rolled by pre-mades who should be in ranked but still have to spam the snot out of PvP in order to get a respectable amount of conquest points to support my alts and this isn't something I want to do 20 times a day, but, see matter of conquest points, so here I am, feh, I hope this match ends as soon as possible."
  8. My math isn't off. I'm still talking about the 3 Flashpoints that are now once-per-legacy (I wasn't including KDY, but that is now a 1-timer, too). As for your list, how are you queuing for 3 flashpoints? I see Hard Mode and Tactical in my GF options, but I can't queue for a regular flashpoint anymore. That aside, those objectives listed go to my other question of what does most of that have to do with invading Ilum? Now it is simply a grind-fest of going around Balmorra to do those 9 piddly heroics which is certainly not on my list of fun things to do unlike PVPers who get to . . . you guessed it, PVP. Those point totals could possibly be exceeded in ~3 hours a day of straight PVP (the total, which is off, divided by 6 days). Running random garbage that is in no way tied to the planet is simply insulting. There is no story to support it and it has simply become, run this old crap or PVP. Get to it.
  9. That's just it, it is not even. Guild size aside, the PVP players to get to grind as much of the content they already enjoy as they want. Can we PVP as a guild? Sure. Should we be forced to in order to have a chance actually being in the rankings when we are on a PVE server? This is certainly not a fix, it is not balanced, it doesn't make me want to "explore" old content or be forced into doing PVP (which is even further from what I like to do in game) and it does not bode well for Conquest going forward. Under the current system and with this sort of "fix," there are a number of guilds who won't have a chance and it will just come down to who has the most PVPers or material-rich crafters. Maybe they could do away with the requirement that you be on the boards and have some sort of a tier system of rewards so that guilds could get varying rewards based on reaching set levels of points. Let the big guilds fight for #1, but give everyone else a chance at making the conquest work worthwhile.
  10. Given the limitation on the GF objectives that you have to be eligible for the daily reward . . . yes, it seems to be that bad. Once per legacy, infinite, or severely limited seem to be the options. I was half hoping they'd make BoI/FE limited to "You must be eligible for [Daily] Galactic Conflicts" so it would at least be doable daily, per character, but then you're limited to one or the other (which is still better than one time per legacy).
  11. It seems like this is going to make expanding guild ships something just not worth doing. I was glad to see that 50 guilds could potentially get rewards this week and chose Ilum because BoI and FE were repeatable. This is something that we, as a guild, could see our way clear to do. We did end up grinding BoI HM because the time wasn't that much greater than SM and we could get the boss bonus. It was certainly not something I could see doing every week and I agree with those who suggested a longer rest interval . . . but then it gets to be that much harder to do any ship expansions for guilds who aren't getting the drops from commanders. If your intention wasn't to make these a grind-fest, then why are the PVP objectives repeatable? The PVPers, as others have mentioned, don't have to do ANYTHING different from any other day to rack up points while everyone else is drawn away from what they'd normally be doing into older content. Not only are we unable to play the way we'd normally like to, but now we can't even compete if you limit the PVE options to once-per-week-per-legacy. Ooh, this week I could get 6000 a day if I spend . . . how long? . . . doing Balmorra heroics and the Ilum heroic (with the Ilum boost). Then I have to queue and do random flashpoints (how do those tie in to a certain planet?) which is certainly something I have never enjoyed. Did you truly try to balance PVE vs. PVP? Because it seems like there are a lots of PVE objectives that, while repeatable, can really only be done once a day and have a significantly greater time investment for the points received as compared to allowing the PVP side to simply keep doing what they already enjoy. I guess we'll see what you do in the morning, but I can't see how a possible 16k once-per-week-per-legacy really stacks up against unlimited pvp.
  12. Solution for all of the PVE crowd - get a group of 4 guildies, take off all of your gear, queue for PVP, lose as quickly as possible (not always an option in voidstar, so maybe exit WZ if voidstar pops), 2000 points. They want to talk about not working as intended? All you have to do is run in, die, run in, die, run in, die. It will increase your point output assuming the other side isn't doing the same thing and it is not exploiting ANYTHING. Just like inviting people for the end of a FP isn't exploiting anything.. Let them try to change it to only rewarding wins. That will cause an outcry. Maybe when the PVPers complain about what the PVEers are doing to their WZs, they'll listen. As it stands now, everything that is one time only is once per LEGACY. So, assuming they follow that pattern, I'm a little unclear how anyone (who isn't spamming PVP) is supposed to get more than one character to 35k in a given week. Maybe spamming KDY? Or are they taking that away, too? Watch for me naked in a WZ near you.
  13. Not typically one to necro a thread, but has this been resolved? I'm not seeing much in patch notes that affect it, so I wanted to check. We're in the same boat of lots of alts and not a lot of different accounts behind them (I've currently got 11 characters in guild and most of the long timers have 6-8, at least).
  14. We're a Republic guild looking for a couple of candidates for our primary operations group (or anyone looking for a home). Life has come along and taken away a few of our members leaving us with people playing their alts rather than with primary characters. We tend to have fun and are not above playing chicken in EC on the log bridge, but we also want to get a solid group to get back to progressing through content rather than having someone new on the HM run each time. At this time, it is looking like Friday and/or Saturday nights will be our planned Ops night(s). Otherwise, we tend to kill time shooting the breeze, raising alts, PVPing and doing some weeklies for comms. If you're at all interested, look for us in the game (who function - Galactic Defense) and we can get you our TeamSpeak information so we can run something and get a feel for each other.
  15. The weekend hasn't even hit and I'd guess that not all of the people from the 10:1 source servers have even transferred yet. It might be a transient matter during the week, but what is going to happen on the weekend? TOR might be 24/7, relatively speaking, but the people you play with aren't and, outside of you, most people don't make use of it 24/7. As for the analogy, let's adjust it so it takes 10 minutes for your DVR to start playing your show and it starts 10 minutes in. You can be as obtuse as you want about it, but the fact that their poor decision making is cutting into people's time doesn't change. It must be nice to be so cavalier about crappy service. Yet you do feel the need to bring up your relationship with another person and your outside endeavors as if that makes your point somehow more valid. If the TV analogy isn't clear enough for you, imagine you show up at the rink, get your gear on and step out expecting to get on the ice at your scheduled time only to find out that the rink overbooked (which, you know, happens). You get on the ice 10 minutes late and they then demand that you get off at your normally scheduled time because public skate is up next and, unlike your game, they won't delay that. I'm guessing you'll chalk that up to "whatever" or some similar sentiment rather than ever admit you'd like to have access to what you paid for when you paid for it. And, btw, that ice is ice 24/7, so you could always work something out with them to go back at 2 in the morning to have your game if your fiance is okay with that, you can get the teams back together and it doesn't interfere with your job . . . Remember, complaining about people complaining makes you a complainer, too. If you don't have anything to add other than, "go do something else," you aren't adding to the conversation.
