  1. I bought the race unlock for Miraluka and Twi'lek. Wanted a Twi'lek bounty hunter so bad! I also got the early speeder unlock, but that proved to be a waste of credits, as I ended up later deleting that particular toon anyway.
  2. I am a female and my main toon is actually a male Trooper. I love his voice. I usually don't play males in games, but that's because of the games' inherent artistic direction. I don't really like how men always have to look ridiculously burly and have a mountain for a neck (a la WoW) etc. I really like the body choices and appearance of the men on this game, though. Especially body #2, yum! Haha. I really wanted my BH to be a male, because the male BH voice is wonderful, but I already had a female twi'lek BH planned and made once Legacy allowed me to. On a previous note, though, I think SWTOR offers the best looking males of any MMO I've played so far, personally. I just like the available choices and hairstyles.
  3. I am a bisexual woman who has been a gamer since I could hold a controller. I can't wait until Bioware introduces the SGRA into the game. Maybe then my twi'lek BH can have a happy ever after. :3 It's a pleasure to meet you all. <3
  4. Thanks for the help. I went ahead and gave him the accent. I hope it doesn't annoy people too much.
  5. True. But this guy isn't supposed to be fancy, he's a Trooper.
  6. I have a serious, non-troll question. The only name that was important to me was lost during my transfer. I don't really wish to name this character something else, because his name meant a lot to me (I kind of recreated a version of an original story character of mine into the Star Wars universe). I also don't really want to stick an apostrophe or dash in his name; I've tried to see how it looks in different ways and it just seems weird that way, plus if I ever roleplay with him, everyone will write it with the apostrophe. I really kind of want to stick in an accent over one of the vowels (particularly an é) but I'm not sure how distasteful or irritating this would be to the community. Do you think it would be all right, or should I just suck it up and go for the apostrophe? (PS, besides this issue, I'm immensely relieved and overjoyed to have had the privilege to transfer servers. Even losing the name was worth it.)
  7. On that topic, do you guys know if it's allowed to have special characters within a name? I'm really attached to one of my names but I know it will be taken, but was thinking I could make an i with a special dash over it or something.
  8. Found this on a recent interview. It makes me really excited. "You talked yesterday about new species that are playable… The Cathar is the first one, and what we’re going to start doing is really looking at how much interest there is in species. The Cathar will be the first we’re rolling out as they’ve always been popular. We have the stuff, and we know we wanted to do them. After that the hope is if people say “Oh yeah, this is really exciting here. We want to do this.” Then it becomes open to the community and we’ll say, “Hey, ok folks, what do you really want?” I think it’ll be an interesting plan. I think it’ll be really interesting to put the negatives right out there for people to see. Understand that if you demand a species that does not speak English and is made out of Jello, these are going to be the problems that it brings to you. And if people say “that’s what we want more than anything else,” then at this point it is community power." 9. I sincerely love this game. I bought it about two days after it was released on the market and have not regretted it. It's the most fun I've had in an MMO. I came here from WoW and have not resubbed to it since. My SWTOR sub has gone without interruption. I agree that this game does have some issues. I also try to keep in mind that it is new. I have faith in Bioware to work through the issues and continue to add even more exciting content and fun things to the game, as well as quality-of-life improvements. Right now, I'm patiently awaiting server merges, as my guild recently abandoned ship and rerolled on The Fatman. I have chosen not to follow them, as I'm too attached to my characters, legacy, and have little affection for PvP servers. I'm sure when the servers are eventually merged, the game will be even more fun to play. I've gone through several MMOs in the past few years. I've enjoyed them all to some extent, but as a fan and author of science fiction, I grew tired of the repetitive fantasy setting. I enjoy the change of pace here, and that the game is sci-fi, with ships and space and guns. I love being a Bounty Hunter. And I especially love the story aspect and that I can choose to be kind, malicious, or anything in between. I'm eagerly looking forward to future content, especially new races. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for Nautolans!
  10. As promised: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v194/Summourn/quinnzombie.png Malavai Quinn http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v194/Summourn/OHGODTHEHORROR.png Lovely close-up shot of Mako in a cinematic. Apparently, they lose the eye glow during them and it makes them all the creepier. Imagine the romance scenes! Edit: apparently this forum hates tinyurl
  11. I collected several of these yesterday. I'd like to try to get them all. Sadly, they do repeat. I have two of the consular ones and two of the sith warrior ones. When I get home from work, I have screen shots of the Mako and Malavai Quinn customizations I can upload and link to.
  12. Can you try making a Zabrak of a different Republic class and see if they have that skin tone available? (If you haven't already.) It may be a specific class thing like with the Imperial Agents. Then again they may also just have forgotten to include that particular option in legacy characters in general.
  13. I am going to guess that this is a bug. There seem to be a few of them floating around that involve legacy unlocked character creation. For example, I unlocked Twi'lek last night. I was able to make a Twi'lek that had all available skin tones and markings on every class except Imperial Agents, which for some reason only had the original Empire/Sith Inquisitor colors and markings available for Twi'lek. (For the record, Bounty Hunter and Sith Warrior had all colors, it was only missing from IA.) It also seemed that IA Twi'leks were missing the scar selection bar entirely. So no worries, I'm sure that the missing skin tone is probably just an unfortunate bug as well. I would recommend reporting it if you haven't already. Hopefully it will be fixed sooner than later so you can make and play your character as you want to.
  14. Thank you for this. I'm so impressed with this company and game. I, and many others, I'm sure, appreciate this sincerely. <3
  15. You're right, and I'm sorry. I did not mean to come off as insulting or making generalizations about people who have 50s. I know many who did take their time and enjoy their gameplay the entire way there. I was only saying that someone who DID powerlevel to 50 is able to get this benefit while others who are contributing to the game in various ways without having a max level character cannot. I'm sorry if I came off as offensive!
