  1. ^^^ This is my experience in general as well. I've had one or two grief-tastic fools too.
  2. The Hyperdrive was the last great leap in technology for the Galaxy at large. The Rakatans had it before everyone else and the tech was lost when their empire died. When humans and other spacefaring races rediscovered it, it gave rise to the Old Republic. After that, you might have innovation in various areas but nothing quite so large as the Hyperdrive. The lightsaber started out as swords/vibroblades. The original sabers had a cable connecting the hilt to a battery pack on the belt. It wasn't for thousands of years before they figured out how to miniaturize the tech.
  3. Been playing since Early Access. Have multiple toons (6 currently) at 15+. I'm rather enjoying myself. Never had issue with getting a group for a Flashpoint or Heroic. And this is at non-peak times such as 2 in the morning and not in a heavily populated server (least that I've ever seen). Played over 120+ hours and going to play for more. Just reupped with a 60 day game card so I'll be around until March. Subbed for the 6 month plan now. While I recognize that there are problems with the game (technical issues mainly). I'm going to be patient since I've gotten more play time out of this game than I do for similarly priced AAA titles that take me less than 10 hours to play through completely (that's all side-quests and hidden stuff). Worth 60 bucks? Definitely. 15/Mo? Sure, why not? If I'm playing as heavily later as I am now, the value keeps improving. Sorry to see you go, OP. Wish you had a better experience. Really do. Oh, and I'm not one of the people that have moved over from any other MMO. I've just been waiting for this one for a long.... long time. Did play WoW for a time (free trial). And Ultima Online beta test and beyond. A little bit of Everquest back in the day. So I have an idea of how MMO's have evolved. I like what I see so far in ToR. The End.
  4. For lag inside buildings and such turning off the shadows and putting all graphics settings to HIGH should help. Weird, I know.
  5. I'm only seeing issues with stuttering or frame rate drops inside buildings (Sith Academy, etc). Runs smooth as silk in the outside areas.
  6. ATI here too. I'm getting the stuttering effect when indoors (buildings/dungeons/etc.), outside everything is smooth as glass. I encountered something similar in Deus Ex : Human Revolution until they patched it. Something involving loading areas and buffering large files into memory. DE:HR had maybe four major files with all the data assets on it.
  7. Pre-Ordering originally was a way for consumers to get on a guaranteed list for receiving the game at launch. Thus avoiding possible selling out. Digital downloading has mostly eliminated this possibility. So companies are offering more incentive now.
  8. The pre-order deposit you paid will be subtracted from the game's price at point of sale.
  9. I have. I'm getting the physical box this morning...
  10. Got my EGA noon 12/15. Pre-Ordered on Amazon.com on 12/3. Getting the physical disc this morning. W00t!
  11. I wonder if the OP would even play as often as needed to surpass the 'neck-beards' that are power leveling as we post. These types of players will always exist.
  12. Got my early game access code at noon on 12/15/2011. I pre-ordered the game on 12/3/2011. When did you order yours? Yesterday? I'm getting my physical game-box with disc in the mail tomorrow 12/16/2011. It's already in my city waiting to be delivered. So if I could order so late and still be satisfied, why aren't you?!
