  1. Of course I play Knights of the Old Republic every now and again. I have all of the SW games offered on Steam, and there is a decent selection there. Battlefront II is still a great game imo. Force Unleashed was a lot of fun (part 2, not so much). Im going to start Jedi Academy in the near future, it looks like it will be a cool game....
  2. I would still like to see a Force Unleashed movie. NOT part II, just the original A Thrawn trilogy would be cool, but it would be strange seeing different actors portraying Luke. Han. Leia, etc.
  3. That doesnt include the ebooks in the series I think there are only 2 or 3 of those though........but yeah, 19 books.....some are very good, and some are just eh. Traitor (book 9 I think) stands out as one of the best star wars novels written...
  4. I know it.....but technology advances faster and faster as time progresses.....my son will probably live to see a man on Mars....(Im only 30, so I have a chance at that), and he will probably live to see journeys into space as a leisure activity for the wealthy........not too mention having a longer life to due advances in medicine and science.........again, im only 30, so I am hoping I will live to see quite a bit also
  5. I hear ya.....I often tell my son that he is lucky.....the things he will see in his lifetime because of advancements in technology...
  6. I couldnt get into this series at all I really really liked the nine book Legacy of the Force series though........and New Jedi Order was good, just a bit too long. I recommend, if you have the time, start with New Jedi Order, go to Legacy of the Force, and then read Fate of the Jedi. I know FOTJ mentions events from LOTF a bit......and NJO really sets up LOTF. Thats my suggestion It can be tough to get through all 19 books of New Jedi Order though, but if you can do it, it isnt a bad read.
  7. If your looking post original trilogy I would start with the Thrawn trilogy. Now if you are dedicated you can hit the New Jedi Order series....I made it through, but it was tough towards the end. It is made up of 19 books, but could have been done in 10. I know someone mentioned Traitor, I think it is book 9 or 10, and it is the highlight of the series. Legacy of the Force is a nine book series that takes place after New Jedi Order. I really liked this series even though many did not. I thought it was much better than New Jedi Order. Following this series is the current nine book Fate of the Jedi series. I read the first few but was really let down.... If you want to read a few books that take place during the movies I highly recommend Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vador. This takes place right after ep. III. Very good book. Labyrinth of Evil is very good, takes place right before ep. III. The Darth Bane trilogy is the best series in the EU in my humble opinion. This is 1000 years before the movies. In the Old Republic era Deceived was pretty good, but Fatal Alliance was pretty weak. There is a ton out there, im sure you will find something you like!
  8. Picked it up for the kindle on tuesday, just started it....so far so good.
  9. If you want the books that take place before the movies you can not go wrong with the Darth Bane trilogy.....really good. They take place 1000 years before the movies... Fatal Alliance takes place during the game, dont read it though.....it starts off really good but goes downhill about half way through Decieved also takes place during the game, I just started reading it and its good so far...
  10. Ive read a lot of the books....the Darth Bane triliogy is the best.......especially the first novel. These take place a few thousand years after the game, and 1000 years before the movies......there are a few book taking place during the game, Fatal Alliance which was horrible, and I started Decieved which is really good. If you want post movies read the Thrawn trilogy, takes place 5 years after the movie.........The New Jedi Order is good, but very long (19 books). It could have been done in half that. Legacy of the Force takes place a few years years after New Jedi Order and I really liked it........Fate of The Jedi is the current series following Legacy, but I could not get into it........ hoped that helped a bit..
