  1. You can't be kicked from a WZ unless you're standing in a corner playing with yourself. As long as you are defending or attacking something, you can't be kicked. So go play for fun in your PvE gear and /ignore anyone that's giving you crap.
  2. I agree with most of what you're saying. In my experience I've found if I stand still and cast, I get focused by melee and die faster, which is not beneficial to my team, and is why I don't like to cast Power Shot unless there is no one close. I am always kiting melee which you can't do trying to cast Power Shot or Unload. No I am not putting out as much DPS as if I was standing there casting constantly, but I find being alive and playing objectives to be better than my damage done at the end. And a clarification on Infrared Sensors, it increases your stealth detection level, which lets you catch stealthers walking around you. The decreased cool down on Stealth Scan is just a bonus. Again, these are just my preferences due to my experience. I probably don't have the same play style as you which is why we don't see eye to eye. Not saying 1 of us is better than the other, just a different way to play the Pyrotech tree
  3. Is this a PvP or PvE conversation? If it's PvE then my post can be disregarded. If not, then I guess it comes down to play style. More endurance is never a bad thing. Infrared Sensors is great when running around or guarding objectives and catching an Assassin or Operative before they open on you or anyone else, and the 2% damage reduction isn't bad. I am always mobile and hardly ever use Power Shot, and only cast Unload if no one is around me and I want to proc my rail shot. It's all preference.
  4. If you are standing there trying to cast while getting beat on, you're doing it wrong. That's what the Arsenal tree is for. Pyro is all about staying mobile and kiting (or trying to kite at least). Personally I run this: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#300MckZZcIrrdhGMs.2
  5. I thought I had read somewhere that Voidstar ties at the 1st door were determined by who had the most objective points. I cannot remember where I read this, and maybe I'm just crazy. Whenever I get into a tie at the first door I'll add up the objective points for both teams and see if that matters. I would suggest anyone else to do the same.
  6. MMO's don't necessarily have to be gear based. Yes WoW is, this game is, and some others are, but not all are. I think most people wouldn't have a problem with PvE being all about gear progression, but why does PvP need to be? Beating someone with your skill isn't good enough? Your basically saying because I don't work a lot, or school is out, or if you don't have a family, kids, etc...that you have more time to play so you should absolutely have the upper hand because you can grind out your gear. It has nothing to do with "working" for your gear, it's just being able to play a lot more. I am not saying even getting Battlemaster gear is hard or even takes that long, but there is a large difference between Battlemaster and Augmented War Hero. Anyways, there is no reason to really keep beating a dead horse. Some will agree PvP should start out on a level playing field so skill can shine through, and some believe because they can play the game more their gear should give them an advantage over others. P.S. Humankeg, saying you PvP in 4pc PvE gear with only 940 expertise and are 1 of the best PvPers on your servers must be a joke.
  7. Good idea OP, unfortunately you'll get flamed for it because people believe PvP in MMO's should be all about gear progression because WoW did it that way. While I agree PvE should be, PvP should be skill based, not gear based. There is nothing wrong with people starting on a equal playing field in PvP and letting their skill shine through. GW2 got it right in that aspect. People that are saying there isn't a big gap from Recruit to Battlemaster to War Hero live in a dream world. Not saying you can't play well in Recruit gear, but your at a stupidly large disadvantage starting out.

    Marauder pvp

They are 1 of the best, if not the best, PvP class out there right now if played right.
  9. I'm sure the burst would be mice, but the problem is your turning Pyro into a turret spec with no ability to kite. It would be great in PvE, but losing a lot of your mobility in PvP would be a bad thing I think. That's the problem with Arsenal as is.
  10. No, you want the Eliminator set for the Rail Shot crit bonus. The accuracy sucks, but you have to deal w/it until you get War Hero gear. You can mix and match some, like using the Combat Medic implants.
  11. It is a single target attack, and it hits harder than the Sticky Grenade. The description can be a little confusing, but it only applies to the target you throw the Plastique on.
  12. The classes are quite different from WoW's, but if I had to say it would be this: Operative/Scoundrel = Druid Has some HoTs and good single target heals. Sorcerer/Sage = Priest Has an absorb shield, great AoE heals, and good single target heals. (Don't play this class, so I'm not sure how many HoTs it has) Mercenary/Commando = Paladin Has great single target heals, weak AoE heals, and a weak HoT. From what I've heard from most people, and what you'll find on the forums, Sorcerer/Sage is probably the best all around healer out of the bunch. Operative/Scoundrel if played correctly are probably right up there with the Sorc/Sage. Mercenary/Commando is a great niche healer, but if a lot AoE heals are needed, count them out. Just my $0.02.
  13. If you stand there and take it, any class will probably die in that amount of time. Tracer hits for ~2k, and Heatseeker for ~5k on a good crit. A full Unload channel will tear into your health. In other words, if you don't los or interupt, and just take the damage, you'll die. Arsenal Merc's weakness isn't necessarily the damage they deal, but how gimped they are in dealing it.
  14. You can go with a Powertech/Vanguard, Marauder/Sentinel, or a Shadow/Assassin. All are doing well right now. Just choose whichever play style you enjoy more.
