  1. Yeah, I would still like to see it happen. I would only do it if I could gear the companions. Too often, with questing, they don't get gear options, or the ones they do get aren't really improvements, or are too minor of an improvement to matter.
  2. I think this is a wonderful idea! And no, the gear shouldn't be 20% less effective. Instead, all types of gear should drop, according to your "party" grouping, as it does when you're actually in a real group. That way, the companions could actually get some decent gear. Since I have 1 of each class, I could spend all day gearing up companions this way
  3. You're talking about option 4, aren't you? The one with the big bosom and the big butt. I'm afraid that's as good as it gets. (looks great on a bald-headed agent, btw) I personally, never use the fat male option on any character, because my purpose for playing this game and others like it is not to play myself in their setting, but to play someone else. I'm not a Jedi in real life...or an Imperial Agent...or a..what is it? Rakattatituey or something like that. You see, I play them all. Male and female. Zabrak and Twi'lek....Raka-whatever...oh, and sometimes humans (yawn). Fat, dumpy human? Yeah, been there done that in real life... no need to play one. I guess my advice would be: broaden your RP potential, not your character's size.
  4. Perhaps. But I don't like to be loose..I like being..uh..tight. Anyway, I don't want my questing experience to go any faster. I have 8 toons, no 50's..because I want to see it all..and at MY pace, not yours...or his..or hers..or theirs *points at other random forum people* When I wish social situations, I have a guild more than happy to provide. I wasn't aware of better loot...that may be one point in your favor if it happens to be true....
  5. You hit it right on the head, good sir. If there were Forum Points for accurate statements, I would nominate you.
  6. Darth, I know what you're saying. And that's ok. But you're just going to have to make peace with the idea that some people don't want your help. Even if it benefits you both, or doesn't benefit anyone...it doesn't matter. Some people just are going to want to do their own thing in their own good time, dailies or not, regardless if you're there pwning everything and gogogogogo gettin' 'er done. It's human interaction, and, as such, is quirky as hell....and it's not always going to be the way you'd like. I turn down blind invites. That's my style. You have yours. And they are both ok. It's the hostility that arises from the difference in opinion that isn't ok. Live and let live, etc. and so forth.....
  7. You're probably right. I am missing out, I'm sure. Yes, you are human enough for me to socialize with, regardless of this thread and any interactions therein. Had you, in the hypothetical context of meeting on some planet in-game and at the same locale, private messaged me with a help request, I would respond favorably to such a request. Had you, in the same hypothetical situation, ran up behind me and blind invited me with or without a clear objective, it would have been immediately dismissed. A second invite would be met with a typed-in-general-chat "No, thank you." and a third would get you on ignore. If that's wrong, then I'm wrong. I'm ok with being wrong.
  8. It's possible that I am. You probably have a valid point, there. But, that would also be another point in favor of NOT sending me a blind invite, correct? Most days, I just like to play the game...alone. Like I said in my earlier post, MMO for me is Minding My Objectives. I'm happy that others are around to keep it interesting in general chat and stuff, but that doesn't mean I want any of you in my face while I'm playing. Sorry.
  9. No. See? You just don't get it. I'd RATHER stand there, as you say, like a "noob" and do my own thing in my own good time. Because it's my time. And it's my business. You can get your daily done and go take your "uber pwning leetness" out of my face, where it belongs. Your personality and attitude are like a can of RAID....so 'scuze me while this little bug scurries off to do it's own thing, mmkay? Have a nice day.
  10. No. I don't know you. I don't want to know you. And from what I can tell, I'd never want to know you....because you seem to think it's all about your wants and needs, when it should be clear that it's all about mine. MMO for me means Minding My Objectives. You go mind yours. If we're working on the same thing, I'll just leave. 'Cuz there are plenty of other things to do.... In the words of the Malcolm in the Middle theme song, "You're not the boss of me now". So...take that. Yeah.
  11. That was a trollish-type response. The reality is, this person is probably more like your average player. The kind that plays anywhere from 3 to 12 hours a day, depending on work/school/outside life schedule. The kind that has 8 toons and no 50 yet. My highest character is 40, but I DO have one of each to explore the variety.... and legacy level 10, which I thought was ridiculously high, and that I should play less. Guess I was mistaken!
  12. Odd question. Answer: Because it's there. Same reason we all quest on Alderaan, even though we know it amounts to nothing.
  13. Don't know if this has also come up in a thread somewhere, but...are we ever going to be able to change the Legacy name? I made a foolish choice and now I feel stuck with it. Nothing that affects my game-play, mind you, it's just annoying...
  14. If you want challenging, the trick is to find the challenge. I solo'ed the BT run using just a level 11 Bounty Hunter, mercenary spec with Mako healing, and one self-heal spell. I did die twice, but those were tactical errors on bosses that I corrected the next time. I'm really, really enjoying the fact that I don't need 5, 10, 25 and 40 people to get something done. I solo play 95% of the time, and the other 5%, I bring my roommate or a guild mate along, just for dialog fun and social points. I didn't even know there was a spacebar option...I love BT's dialog and pace, and don't mind sitting though the dialog, but options are nice, so thanks for the info, people :-) Anyway, bottom line: If you need challenge - challenge yourself :-)
