  1. I usually enjoy PvP around morning when there aren't that many people around due to a regional difference. I ALWAYS get qued up with one or more of many AFK levelers that just hide behind wall, stealth, etc while moving every minute to avoid being kicked(could be using a bot). I'm pretty sure these guys do this even when there are more players and are ruining the PvP experience for the others as well. Now, these guys have been doing this since lvl 10 and some of them are around lvl 40 now... Many players including me have reported these scums but nothing has been done about it by GM yet. This is ridiculous. Warzones had been challenging as it was as there are tons more 50s on Empire than Republic on my server but I kept playing because I enjoy a challenge. But with these scums it's basically a boring faceroll for both factions no matter what I try and more and more Republic players are retiring, which leads to more Huttball feasts for Empire as well. After a several days of trying with 6 tickets and whatnot, I've given up. Since PvP is one of my main focus I just moved to a different server but I'm afraid these kind of afkers will surely infest this server as well if left alone. SWTOR had been a blast for me but this is my biggest issue so far. They should investigate on reported abusers more thoroughly and panalty them from joining Warzones so that other players can have a better PvP experience.
  2. No. 50s are the main problem because of the huge advantage of the expertise mechanic. I can easily win 1 on 1 with medicore 49s as a lvl 14. With the bolstering mechanic more bracket would only cause more waiting time and team imbalance on low pop/heavily imbalanced servers.
  3. No way. Luck-based crafting is what really makes the crafting fun imo. It feels like actually being a crafter, trying to make an improve on previous product. Also it feels like hitting a jackpot when you discover an epic version of your desired gear. If it's not luck based, it will just be another boring grind..
  4. BW is the new Blizzard! Except they're better.
  5. Keiryan are you by chance BW employee? Your post was very insightful for me as a game developer and I agree completely.
  6. Because people come here to whine. I came to a conclusion that any game forum is nothing more than a place where mad kids visit to release their anger(after getting pwned usually). Also most of them think their opinion and insight on the game after playing the game for 1 weak is superior to the developers that have been designing games for over 10 years because they played x game for x years etc. I wish BW is smart enough to ignore most of the whinings on the forum. On the subject, I think lowbies getting matched with lvl 50s is definitely an unfair disadvantage for the lowbies. However most servers don't even have that many lvl 50s yet so making their own bracket right now will be even more unfair for the lvl 50s as in some low populated servers it would sometimes be impossible to get a match going at all. So there's nothing else they could do about it until sufficient people get to lvl 50 and by then BW will make a seperate bracket for lvl 50s as they promised. So there's nothing a mad impatient kid can do other than ranting on the forums.
  7. And that was my point of the post. I can't agree Guardian is more complex than other classes. I find Guardian play to be boring as it is, in fact. Yes, holding aggro is much harder but that's because most tanks try to hold every mob on him just like in WoW, not because the rotation itself is complicated. I've played WoW since classic beta and let's be honest.. WoW tanking has been easy mode since WotLK due to all the whinings. I'm definitely supporting the BW's decision to make a difference between a good tank player and an intermediate tank.
  8. I like the little bit of diversity in our basic filler attacks. Right now you need to time the CD to benefit the most from them. Not to mention the different animation. Removing the CD will just make it even easier.
  9. 9/10 It's too fun that I don't play story line anymore...I've been playing PvP 24/7 with all 4 archetypes and whoever thinks the classes are broken needs to L2P srsly. All classes have their unique strength and the area in which they excel greatly. Strategy and skill are much more important and there's always a chance to come back from a heavily unfavorable game. The only complains are the animation bug and the lvl 50s.
  10. I found Biochem to be invaluable especially for a melee chractor that gets the tank companion late. However, all other crafting skills are just as good for leveling imo. The reusable medpacs are amazing but so are artifact light sabres enhanced with artifact crystal. For example, Coruscant commendation Sabre's equipped with a rating 44 hilt. At artifice level 100 you get a rating 42 green hilt that requires level 17. If you reverse engineer some of them you get a blue hilt that has 50 rating, which will last you through the whole Taris and most of Nar Shadaa. The artifact version, which isn't too hard to get with some effort, has a 54 rating which is almost as good as Nar Shadaa commendation Sabre that requires lvl 22. So at lvl 17, you can wield a sabre that has almost as much weapon damage as the best Sabre you can get at lvl 22(and it also requires 14 badges). Due to how the PvP system works, this is an invaluable edge for people looking to lvl through PvP. You can buy the artifact versions through GTN while reusable medpacs are exclusive to Biochem users. But it's very hard to find the one you're looking for with the right lvl and stats and it usually costs a lot.
  11. Me too, back when there were very few lvl 50s with expertise. Now, it's almost impossible to enjoy warzones pre lvl 50 on a matured server. It's even worse for poor Republic people because there are far more lvl 50s on Empire than Republic and it's very unlikely that Republic vs Republic WZ would be held.
  12. I TOTALLY support this. PvP used to be really fun when no one had expertise. Now you can't enjoy it anymore untill you get to lvl 50 and stack your toon with expertise. Also I agree that PvP stat is a disaster for any PvP community. It simply makes PvP more of a grind than a skill based match and also puts a huge gap between normal players and PvP players. PvP in WoW was so much fun untill the introduction of resilence IMO.
  13. I'm currently playing as Jedi Guardian DPS tree and he plays similar to arms/prot warrior which I like. He seems to be a good team player and can even off-tank low level group areas with defensive stance(Higher level instances will surely crush me though). I like the overall versatility in PvP and PvE. I can't say much about Sentinels but it seems they're very offensive berserker style. They're DPS specialists so they get more ways to move around(two leap attacks, etc) and deal damage(3 unique DPS trees) compared to Guardians. Tearing through enemies with two light-sabres seems very satisfying. In the end I think it's just up to your preference. I prefered one sabre over two sabres and the ability to tank over different ways to deal damage and haven't regret one bit. Edit: Ah, sorry. You were asking about PvP only. I think they play quite differently in PvP. Guardians tend to charge first and tank the damage with defensive cooldowns and keep key players snared while dealing burst damage. They seem to be kited a lot though. Sentinels seem to prefer to stay out of enemies' focus by kiting and moving around quickly while dealing very high damage.
