  1. Hear hear! Let's burn a Tortanic in effigy and let her finally rest at the bottom of the sea!
  2. How about TASER to the face, Mr. MP? Truncheon to the face? "Stop Resisting", or we'll beat you to death? "Officer Safety" invoked as a get-out-of-jail-free card to justify police brutality? (my personal favorite) War of Aggression in the name of spreading Democracy and "Peace"
  3. This post is both hilarious and deeply disturbing at the same time! Claddius, you tout on and on about patience, let me ask you this: Where was BioWare's PATIENCE to finish THEIR game and release it when it was ready? They have no blame in this matter, and have no personal responsibility of their own to do the right thing huh? BioWare and EA are the real victims here, crushed by the unrelenting swell of the impatient proletariat!
  4. Shut the ENTIRE SW:ToR forums down, this post says it all!
  5. Moderators, can this thread just be moved to the Suggestion Box so it can be properly ignored?
  6. Competition is what makes a free market work. Where is the competition here in the artificial scarcity, known as the Cartel Monopoly, err Market? For all practical purposes, in today's world, there are no real free markets. The closest thing to a free market in action within SW:ToR is price undercutting on the GTN. With no way to offer a better product or service (since all items for sale are identical), the only avenue left is to lower the price. Explaining the free market, and blathering on about it with no real knowledge, are two totally different things. Doubleplusgood Fanboy Fail!
  7. Current Problem: The biggest problem with the current dye system is not the cost of dye modules or how/where they come from, but rather the overall mechanics (or lack there of) of the system as a whole. Not All Colors Available: Not all color combinations exist, and we may never have all combinations implemented. With the lack of all colors available, the system is grossly incomplete. Non-Dyeable Areas:Even if you do somehow get the colors you desire, there are areas on armor that can't be dyed and remain unchanged even after installing a dye module. The lack of proper full control of all areas of the armor makes the system flawed and would be much better served if a third dyeable area was introduced to armors. Solution: Preferably, the system should be revamped to have all dye modules contain just 1 color. Three Dye Module Slots: Next, all armors should have 3 dye slots added, Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary dye slots. Dye Modules should have no restrictions as to which dye slot they can be installed in. Convert Existing Dye Modules to New Ones: All existing dye modules should be given the ability to be reverse engineered into new, generic dye modules, i.e., existing single color primary/secondary modules would yield one new generic dye module of the same previous color and dual color dye modules would yield two new generic modules, one each of the respective colors. Consumables: Retain the consumable nature of dye modules. Dye modules will remain to be single use and destroyed if removed from a dye slot. Enhanced Color Matching System: Introduce a new system that allows armor pieces to color match to other armor items more than just to the chest. When clicking on the "Customize Appearance" button on the Character Sheet, each armor slot should have a new drop down list titled "Unify To:" added next to the unify color toggle button. This drop down list should include the following selections: Head, Chest, Hands, Waist, Legs, Feet, and Wrists which would allow any armor to be color matched to any other armor slot, not just the chest. Summary: By giving armor the ability to have all areas dyeable and making all colors available as generic modules, armor customization could truly be fully implemented and give players much more flexibility and freedom to find an appearance to their fullest satisfaction. IMO, this is only possible with 3 dye slots and unrestricted generic dye modules. How dye modules are obtained is a totally different aspect that can be discussed separately. The system functionality is what I propose to be modified for maximum effectiveness.
  8. What the apologists don't understand, is that the dye system has been broken since DAY ONE. The way that the dye system was implemented was chosen to maximize BW/EA's profits at players' maximum expense, in ALL aspects, such as credits, cartel coins, and time. Time is something that nobody seems to be discussing. How long till all possible dye combinations are graciously (for huge profits) dolled out? How many of these outrages would exist if the dye system was truly and simply just a customization aspect of players game experience, rather than a cash grab? A novel concept I'm sure, but imagine a feature added to SW:ToR that is for the players of the game, not the masters. You know, the ones that actually keep this rotten hulk afloat. Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Dye Slots or bust! That is the real "2.1 Customization".
  9. BioWare breaks your leg, then you thank them for giving you crutches. Working as intended.
  10. Hang in there little camper! You have a long way to go to surpass your mentor/heroine, until then, you'll just be the annoying second fiddle.
  11. (My emphasis added to above quote.) So you're a doublethinker. Does that mean you spew forth Newspeak as well? In other news, 50 is the new 40, Basreia is the new Andryah, and we are (now) at war with Eurasia.
  12. I've been plagued by this since day one as well. I'd really like to see this fixed, preferably sooner rather than later.
  13. Battlemaster Stalker/Force-Mystic/Etc. Boots are experiencing this bug as well when equipping a lower robe.
  14. Comparing GW's dye system to SW:ToR's dye system is pointless as they are two completely different games. Would you rather have no dye system at all or be thankful that BioWare answered our call to implement a dye system?
  15. Just a quick shout out to the devs for the great dye system that was added in Game Update 2.1 "Customization". I've been looking forward to dyeing armors to suit my tastes, and this new system really helps us accomplish just that. Thanks for hearing our requests to add in this feature, much appreciated!
  16. 2.3.1 has changed the way that the front flap (possibly back flap as well) hangs from the waistline of the Despot's Chest Plate armor. There is now a really bad clipping issue such that the front flap no longer sticks out in front slightly, now it drops perfectly vertical, and clips through your legs. Previous to 2.3.1, the front flap was stiff and didn't sway or droop, now it is like a wet noodle and is causing the bad clipping issue. Please investigate and revert back to the old style.
  17. I couldn't agree more. BioFail has proven time after time again that their stance is that they know best, and suggestions fall on deaf and arrogant ears. Constructive criticism is useful as a means of possible change, change for the better. If BioFail would defer their omniscience and actually concede room for improvement, then people would see the constructive criticism process as a valid exercise and truly do more of it rather than be forced into the corner of teeth-gnashing lament or unsubscribing out of lack of recourse.
