  1. I was excited to see the Character Perks! I went on to my level 50 and bought some of them for my alts. I love the flashpoints so I bought up to my legacy level... Can you see the flaw in this plan? They are CHARACTER PERKS. Most of them are kinda useless to my level 50. Can we make them global? Or at least a warning popup to say that purchasing these perks may not do anything for a level 50? Went a little crazy and dropped a couple hundred K on them. Only to find out that they are useless on my alts. *sighs* Hence why I am putting them in the suggestion box. Either A) Make them a global thing for all characters (the point of legacy) or B) Put a bigger warning label for idiots like myself when we are about to purchase useless Character Specific Perks. (Stupid not reading things when I am excited about the entire 1.3 update...)
  2. Well now I feel like a jerk. I thought they released it in one of the latest patches is all.
  3. Please tell me how this LFG tool is any better than it was before. I thought it was supposed to be different. It just looks and act the same. People are still spamming LFG on the planets. Please tell me I am missing something. I would like to go on to the fleet and select a flashpoint and then cue as a healer in the flashpoint that I wish. I know it is a bit late since they have released it, but I decided to take some time off and came back expecting a more robust LFG tool. Not one that has been slightly altered. Again, please tell me how to be more effective in using this tool. I hate spamming LFG. Makes me feel like a jerk when there could be better conversations going on in the fleet.
  4. Just need to vent. Feel free to ignore or add input if you wish. Whatever. Joined a high population server at launch (did not want to do early release or beta). Great game while leveling with friends and everyone else. Saw 50+ to 100 on every world. Even better at Fleet. 1.2 releases and I have more incentive to try other classes. Start playing my alts, and I am lucky to see 12 people on a planet. Seeing another person is a time to celebrate. Feels like a solo game for PVE. Try a non-sith and it is worse! Fleet has a dozen people! Go back to main char and look for OPS/HMs, Find out that it is only run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 6-9 ish. Decide to farm daily commendations because there is nothing better to do. Please close down my server and send me to a new one. I do not feel like creating a new character again on another server and leaving behind 5 months with my main character. Legacy ties me to this server as well. Guess I will just roll on a better server...
  5. The sad but unfortunate truth is that video game players are used to convenience and why not? The days of 3 lives and you are dead are gone. The days of lose at the last boss and you start the game over are gone. Many of these conventions are things of the past. And if you want to appeal to a large audience (which a MMO should since it makes the game more... massive), you need to build these in. Convenience request: Transportation should be quicker. Going through 3 to 5 zones to get from planet x to planet y can take 5 to 10 minutes depending on your internet connection and computer. If you need to do more than 1 quick travel, it can take even longer. Recommendations: 1) For any instance based mission (Storyline, quest, hero, flashpoints, Ops, etc.) where a person goes into the mission, give the option to be transported there when one person goes in. This will solve most (if not all) convenience problems. The last two MMOs that I have been a part of have had this very basic feature. 2) Allow planet to planet quick travel this would be a little more difficult given the current method of travel, but it would speed up getting to a friend's location. Many people only have about 2-3 hrs to play this game each night during the week. We want action now. (some more, but not many). 3) Allow the Leader to pull team mates to them on the map (with an insanely long recharge like the Emergency Fleet Pass). The long recharge will reduce the potential for exploitation. By the way, the biggest reason why I continue to play the game is because the story lines are far beyond the MMOs out there right now. I just want the Storyline to reflect the game convenience features. Remember, the more fun you make the game, the better you will be. Convenience is a big factor!!!
  6. I want to throw my support behind you. The way PVP is right now in this game is a Hazing Process. You get Hazed all the way up to lvl 50 until you can compete with other lvl 50s. Once there, you have a few choices: - Get retribution by fighting other 50s - Pick on someone lower than you at lower level areas - Protect others who are being picked on by 50s This is just not the PVP that I prefer. I think that if people were given the option, there would only be a small vocal minority who would want to have lvl 50 vs. lvl 30 PVP.
  7. Yeah, I know. But it is comforting to know that at least one person agrees with me. The issue is that there are very vocal gamers out there that want that PVP where they beat up on a player 10-20 levels lower than them. If you take that out of the game, they will obviously /rage quit and flood the forums with sentiments that the MMO is not true PVP. At one time, I would have agreed with them. I wanted the true reality gaming experience where I wanted my games as close to reality as possible, but I have tempered my idea of MMO PVP experience since then. My idea is not that radical. Warzones use this concept already because a level 30 toon will not fight a level 45 player there because it would be imbalanced and no one would play Warzones until level 50 when it is even across the board. It is just an idea to make World PVP a more enjoyable experience.
  8. I am on a PVP server and I fully expect PVP to happen at any time. But I have had two very different experiences so far in this game in PVP. The first involved my lvl 28 BH vs a lvl 45 Jedi. As expected I died quickly even though I was in the middle of a friendly outpost. Killed me half a dozen times before I took the hint and moved on. I had no problems about this as I was on a pvp server. The following day I was 29 and was with a friend who was 28 and we found a pair of jedis who were both 31. A huge and furious fight ensued. Both sides died several times as we defended a small nondescript patch of dirt before by mutual nonverbal respect we moved on. The point I wanted to make is that I prefer my pvp to have a ray of hope of winning. I lost a bit more than I won but I was okay with that. They had better tactics and were higher level. So here is my question. Is there anything wrong for wishing PVP was limited to a range of levels around your character? I really think this would be an improvement on PVP. What it is right now is a hazing ceremony as you level to get to 50 just to have the right later to pick on someone lower than you later.
