  1. I checked, I got the 100 coin grant today as well. That must be it. Thanks! Feel free to close this thread. I'm satisfied.
  2. I'm a subscriber. If they did indeed grant me a 1 day bonus for the downloader issue, then that's probably what this is. I'm not seeing anything on my account to indicate a change, though. And yeah, I got hit with that. Nothing like downloading a small patch, having it crap out, and then downloading the entire game again for hours on end.
  3. I received an email this afternoon at 3:23pm central time (USA) stating that my subscription had changed. Subject: Subscription Change Text: Greetings (Username): We are contacting you to confirm that your Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ subscription has been updated. By making your subscription purchase today, you authorize EA to automatically charge the then-current renewal subscription fee (plus applicable taxes or inclusive of applicable taxes based on billing address) to your credit or debit card or other available payment method on each renewal date without any additional action by you. (more followed) I never made any changes. I logged in to verify that I'm still set up for 30 days recurring billing. I verified that my card info was the same as before. Did anyone else get this? Can you find out why I got this email?
  4. Hard not to read the thread title in Sean Connery's voice.
  5. I get it occasionally. I don't have a surefire way to replicate the issue but I've usually triggered it by doing the following: 1. log into the launcher when there's a patch. 2. have the launcher update the game, walk away and do something else. 3. come back some time later. By 'some time', I mean like an hour after the game has likely completed updating. The START button is enabled. 4. launch the game, view pink screen that can't be bypassed. You must shut down the game and restart. That doesn't always trigger it, though. There have been plenty of times where I've done the above and the game launches normally. I can remember at least one occasion where the pink screen appeared after a normal (no update needed) login as well. it just seems random.
  6. It was one of the other bugs that are open on here. I'll see if I can find it. I'll agree that two devs seems unlikely but if the game is literally in 'support' mode, who knows.
  7. I read somewhere that there are only two developers left on the game. If that is indeed the case, then they have my sympathies. They're both under the gun to do bug fixes and develop new content, and they probably don't have adequate testing before being forced to deploy whatever it is that they've got completed. 'We'll test it in PROD' is probably their paradigm right now. Still, this patch seems like one step forward, two steps back. Edited to add: kudos for doing a hotfix on that bug regarding progress on POs. That was pretty much a SEV 1 item.
  8. I managed to get into a DF run last night as well. I feel lucky, considering that most of these weekly op quests are completed on Tuesday when they first go live. Trying to put a group together after Tuesday can be about as much fun as repeatedly slamming your hand in a car door.
  9. That's what they said to me. That should only be true if they only have 'read' access to the DBs. If they need 'write' access, then escalate and get someone involved who can do it. Adjusting the flag for completion shouldn't require more than an easy update SQL script. Seriously, this should take a minute to fix on their end for anyone who shares the same problem. Of greater importance, changing the description string and/or disabling the mission entirely needs to be done until they fix the issue entirely.
  10. Oh, I also demanded (from Customer Service) that they run an update SQL script on my game to flag me as 'complete' for that weekly PO. If they can go into the DB and verify that I completed the Dread Palace op, then they can go in there and update one simple flag and give me credit for the effort.
  11. I got the same thing from customer service: 'sorry, nothing we can do. open a bug.' There are two things that could have been done by DEV to at least put a band-aid on this issue: 1. update the description string to remove Dread Palace in all languages. 2. update the config file to remove this weekly PO from the list of available POs that can come up. Neither of the above should require a re-deployment of code. 5 minutes of effort, tops.
  12. Looks like this is a dupe of https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=993456 Feel free to close as I've commented in that thread. This is absurd. The fact that this is a known bug and you haven't at least updated the description of the quest to remove Dread Palace from the list of viable ops is flat out incompetent. That's a simple string change and an easy temporary fix.
  13. This bug is still occurring as it just happened to me last night. This bug is over a month old and: - you haven't resolved it. - you haven't updated the text to remove Dread Palace from the list of viable ops that will count towards the seasonal objective. This is absurd and flat out incompetent. The fact that you haven't done a string change to at least update the in-game quest dialog to remove Dread Palace is complete nonsense.
